This Primary Bucket Balance was designed to help
introduce basic measurement skills. Use this balance to
measure solids and liquids, explore volume, and make
comparisons.
Setup:
Place the clear buckets in the balance arms and make sure
they balance out. Move the calibration sliders to balance
the buckets. To measure accurately, line up the point on the
balance arm with the arrow above the storage drawer before
each use. The storage drawer is a convenient place to store
weights.
The clear buckets are used to measure solids or liquids. They
have easy-to-read increment markings and pour spouts.
Each bucket can hold up to 400 ml of liquid and can be
removed for easy cleaning and fi lling.
Adding the bucket lids creates a platform balance. Make
sure the objects are placed in the middle of the lid to help
prevent them from falling o .
