Safety informaon
When using any electrical appliance, basic safety precauons should
always be followed, including the following;
This appliance is intended for domesc, indoor use. Unintended
use or operaon may result in personal injury, damage to property
or damage to the appliance that will void the warranty.
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and
above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilies or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been
given supervision and/or instrucon concerning safe use of the
appliance and the understanding of hazards. Children shall not play
with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be
made by children unless they are older than 8 years old and
supervised.
Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8
years old.
Never handle or operate any appliance with wet or moist hands.
Do not immerse appliance, cord or plug in water or other liquids.
Take care whilst cleaning.
If the appliance has fallen in water do not reach for it, immediately
switch the appliance o at the mains and unplug it.
Ensure that the cord is not in a posion where it can be pulled or
tripped over accidentally. Never use the cord to carry or pull the
appliance. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or
counter.
Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.
Do not use the appliance if it has malfunconed, been dropped or
damaged in anyway. If the unit has been damaged take the unit for
examinaon and/or repair by an authorised service agent.
Do not aempt to open the appliance, repair or modify the
appliance, use the appliance for unintended applicaons or use
accessory aachments not recommended by the manufacturer.
Failure to follow these instrucons may result in re, electrical
shock, or risk of injury to persons.
Do not place the appliance near a naked ame, hot gas or electric

burners, or any appliances generang heat.
Always remove the plug safely from the socket aer use. Do not
pull from the cord.
Ensure that all packaging is removed before use.
Appliance specic safety informaon
The surfaces of the appliance become hot during use and
remain hot for a period of me aer use.
Protect surfaces under the appliance that may be damaged by
heat.
Immediately aer use, before cleaning or transportaon, switch
o, unplug and allow the appliance to cool in a safe place out of
the reach of children.
Always use the handles provided.
Exercise care when using oil on the cooking surfaces. Excess oil
could contact the heang element and ignite.
Do not place frozen food or anything too heavy on the hot grill
plate.
Avoid the use of sharp objects such as knives and forks to cut food
on the appliance as they will damage the grill plate and pans.
Never use aluminium foil or anything else under the toaster cover
between the heang element and the reector.
This appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an
external mer or separate remote control.

Before rst use
Clean all plates raclee pans and dry thoroughly.
During the rst 5 uses of the appliance, condion the grill plate/stone by
regularly applying a thin coang of vegetable oil. Cooking oil should be used for
future use to help prevent food scking to the surfaces and also make the
cleaning process easier.
Note: The grill plates will become darker with use and expansion of the stone
grill plate will open small ssures. This is normal and does not indicate a defect.
Note: When rst using the appliance some light smoke may be produced by the
heang elements. This is not uncommon and the smoke is completely harmless.
Allow the product to run for ten minutes to make sure that any residue le on
from the manufacturing process is removed.
How to use
The appliance should be assembled when delivered but parts may become out of
alignment during transit. Check the product assembly before use.
1. The raclee grill plates/stone is supported above the heang element by a
supporng ring. Ensure the supporng ring is secure in the four xing locaons.
2. The raclee grill plate is placed on the top of the supporng ring and the 6
locaon loops are located inside the grill plate edge.
3. The raclee stone top is placed in the centre of the supporng ring and the 6
locaon loops will be outside of the edge of the stone prevenng movement.
4. Plug the supply cord into the electrical socket and turn the heat control to max.
The red power indicator will illuminate. Pre-heat the raclee for 10 minutes
before use.
5. Add a thin layer of oil to the raclee grill/stone/raclee pans.
6. During the preheang me, prepare the ingredients for the raclee pans and
place them into the individual pans.
7. Aer the preheang period is over, reduce the heat to the required cooking
temperature. Place the ingredients on top of the raclee and/or place the pans
underneath the heang elements.
8. If you wish to extend the me it takes to grill on the raclee simply reduce the
temperature by turning the selector knob to your required posion.
9. Be aware that the grill stone will retain heat even when the element
temperature is reduced.
10. Aer the required cooking, switch the appliance oand remove the plug from
the socket.
11. Allow the appliance to fully cool before beginning the cleaning process, refer to
Cleaning and maintenance”.

Hints and ps
A variety of foods can be cooked on top of the grill. Meats and vegetables are
ideal to grill on top of the raclee as well frying eggs and cooking omelees on
the grill plate.
Cung the food into smaller porons will reduce cooking mes and make the
process a lot easier.
Cooking cheese with the cooking pans:
Grilling cheese on the raclee pan is simple and delicious, dierent cheeses have
dierent textures and avours. To grill the cheese, place a slice into a raclee
pan onto on the heang plaorm beneath the heang element. The cheese will
be ready aer 3-4 minutes. Ensure that you dont overll the pans.
Cleaning and maintenance
Always allow to fully cool before cleaning or storing.
Wipe all external surfaces and accessorieswith a so, damp cloth and dry
thoroughly.
Exercise care to ensure that no moisture enters inside the appliance.
Do not use any type of abrasive substances (i.e. scouring pads, steel wool and
cleaning powder) to clean the appliance.
Electrical informaon
Always ensure the voltage on the rang label corresponds to the power supply
where the product is being used.
WARNING! This product must be connected to an earthed electrical power supply.
The green/yellow conductor in the supply cord must be connected to the Earth
terminal in the plug. The power supply must have an Earth connecon.
Precauons should be followed for safe cable management and connecon to the
power supply.
If a new mains plug needs to be ed follow the ng instrucons supplied with
good quality BS1363A plugs. If in doubt consult a qualied electrician or appliance
repair agent.
Safely dispose of the old plug.
Connect the brown lead to the live terminal Lin the new plug.
Connect the blue lead to the neutral Nterminal.
Connect the green/yellow lead to the earth Eterminal.
Recommended fuse: 13 A.
If an extension cable is required, it must have an earth conductor. To avoid
overheang the extension cable should be rated no less than 13A and be fully
unwound before use. Do not aempt to modify electrical plugs or sockets or
aempt to make an alternave connecon to the electrical supply.

UK and EU warranty
As of 1st February 2014, each purchase from the Andrew James UK Ltd website
comes with a xed warranty for 24 months. We will repair or replace any item
found to be faulty, if it is within its warranty period and following receipt of the
item or items. However, some spare parts such as Halogen Oven Bulbs and Vacuum
Sealer Bags are not covered by the Andrew James 2 year warranty.
Unless specied, all products are intended only for domesc use. Should any
Andrew James UK Ltd product be used on an industrial level or for commercial
gains, the warranty will be deemed void immediately. We cannot be held
responsible for injury or for any damage caused if the appliance has been used for
anything other than its intended purpose.
The warranty does not cover general wear and tear, accidental damage, or damage
resulng from misuse of the product. The warranty will become void should any
aempt by an unauthorised third party be made to repair or modify a product in
any way. We require that you read the product instrucon manual thoroughly to
ensure your product is used only for its intended purpose and maintained correctly
during its lifeme.
Please note that the 24 month warranty period is NOT renewed upon delivery of a
replacement item; the warranty term is 24 months from delivery of the original
item.
Disposal of the appliance

and we fully support the Waste Electrical and Electronics Equipment (WEEE)
Direcve from the Government, which means that if you have bought an electrical
appliance from us, you can send it back to us and we will ensure it is recycled
