he NEW retrofit round Insertable Damper with the New Plug-In
Zone Damper Motor now simplifies those hard to zone retrofit
installations. The PCRRP is a low cost single blade damper that
inserts into any branch take-off duct. It is available in 5”, 6” and 7”
diameters.
To install, use the template provided.
1.
Cut a 3/
4” slot lengthwise in the duct.
2. Insert the damper and insure it is parallel with the duct.
3. S
ecure with the four (4) sheet metal screws supplied.
The NEW PCRRP is a simple low cost solution to zone individual
branch runs. The additional feature of the NEW Plug-In damper
motor makes the PCRRP even easy in terms of wiring. Using the
modular cords and splitters supplied with each damper, wiring is
simplified by just plugging in the damper motor and running the cord
to the plug on the control panel.
Adding additional dampers on the same zone is even easier by
using the splitters already provided with each damper as well.
Additional dampers are wired in a daisy chain from one motor to the
next by simply using the splitter on each motor. Up to 6 dampers
may be controlled from a single zone. Only Zone-A-Trol offers this
feature. Other competitors use pumps and air hoses or require
additional panels and higher VA transformers. Only Zone-A-Trol has
this feature of using low voltage DC motors, with simple plug-in
wiring. Each damper motor has a two-color LED that provides a
positive indication of the damper being open or closed. When the
LED is GREEN the damper is Open. When RED the damper is
Closed.
