PRECAUTIONS BEFORE USE
Read the instructions carefully before using the Juicer-Mixer-Grinder.
Place the Juicer-Mixer-Grinder on an even platform at a convenient height so that the ingredients under
operation can be easily seen.
Have sufficient space around the Juicer-Mixer-Grinder to keep the various items required. Also ensure that
the Juicer-Mixer-Grinder is placed 6 inches away from the wall.
Keep the Juicer-Mixer-Grinder away from heat and sunlight.
The Juicer-Mixer-Grinder operates at optimum efficiency at the specified voltage. Wide variations in voltage
affect the performance of the Juicer-Mixer-Grinder.
The motor is rated for 30 minutes continuous operation. Avoid using it for more than the specified time.
Clean the oil traces inside the jar before first use.
Do not run the mixer without load.
Plug the Juicer-Mixer-Grinder in a 3-pin socket.
For citrus fruits like oranges and sweet limes it is advisable not to use the plunger so that the seeds pop up
automatically. However for best results cut the fruit into small pieces and remove the seeds before extracting
juice.

Chop the ingredients small enough to feed through the opening, for juicing operations.
Ensure that the juicer housing is fitted properly on to the motor housing before operation.
For Juicing operation, never switch on the Juicer-Mixer-Grinder unless the top cover of the juicer is firmly
locked in position.
Before using the Mixer / Grinder jar, ensure that the jar is properly assembled. Hold the jar in one hand and
check if the cutter blades move freely and rotate.
Fix the jar to the base unit by turning it clockwise. Make sure it is firmly locked in Position prior to usage.
Never insert your hand or spatula or spoon, when the Juicer-Mixer-Grinder is in operation.
Stop the Mixer-Grinder at regular intervals and push the contents to the centre of the jar, with the help of
the spatula. If the motor stalls and/or smoke emanates from it, switch off the power supply immediately.
This could be due to overloading. The Over Load Protector (OLP) has been provided to trip the motor when
overloaded. In case of tripping, follow the instructions given on motor overload protection.
Since the blades are quite sharp, be careful while changing them.
Never use hot water to clean the Mixer-Grinder
Important: Do not use the Liquidiser jar for dry/wet grinding, grating, chopping or mincing functions.

Place ingredients in mixer/grinder jar and put lid in position. Place jar on basic unit and turn the lower socket
clockwise to lock the jar.
Plug in. Support dome gently by hand and switch on to blend/grind using lower speed (1). And then moving on to,
higher speeds.
Switch off after blending/grinding. Unplug. Unlock and lift the jar from the basic unit. Pour out the contents (Fig.
8/9).
MOTOR OVERLOAD PROTECTION
The Juicer-Mixer-Grinder is fitted with a heavy duty universal
motor using a winding wire that can withstand extremes of
temperatures. Therefore, the chances of motor failure are
extremely rare.
It is however possible that the mixer motor may get overloaded
when you attempt to grind quantities in excess of those
recommended in this book.
The motor of the Juicer-Mixer-Grinder is protected by a resetting
type Over Load Protector (OLP). In case of overloading, the OLP
disconnects the power supply to the motor. In such an
eventuality, switch off the supply. Remove the excess load or add
water to the ingredients, if the recipe so permits. Wait for a few
minutes. Reset the OLP located below the base plate and restart
the mixer. (Fig. - 10).
CARE & CLEANING
Cleaning of the Juicer
To clean the filter mesh, fill cleaning bottle with soap water, fit brush onto bottle and insert in mesh cleaning
shutter. Switch on by pushing button (1) Ensure that a glass or bottle is kept under the spout to collect the
dirty water.
Move brush up & down across the juicer mesh while squeezing bottle to squirt water from brush (Fig. - 11).
Cleaning of the Mixer & Grinder Jars
After each use it is desirable to wash and thoroughly clean
the jars
For cleaning, fill up the jar with water up to half its
capacity. A small quantity of detergent or liquid soap will
help clean better, especially after use with sticky or oily
foods. Fix the jar on the mixer-grinder base and run for
about 15 to 20 seconds. The blade rotating at high speed
in water, will clean the jar thoroughly and remove all food
material stuck on the blade assembly. Do not use scouring
powder to clean the jars as it would leave marks. To
remove traces of water from the blade assembly, run the
mixer-grinder with the empty jar for 10 seconds.
Clean the jar lid with a dry cloth to avoid unpleasant odour
when the mixer is taken up for use again.
Do not wash the base unit or immerse it in water as it
could cause electrical hazards. Wipe the base unit clean
with a damp cloth to remove stains, if any and then wipe
with a dry cloth to keep the base unit dry and clean.
