How to Operate ? - Pressure Type
Installation. (Fig. 3)
1. With this installation you can take hot water out at
more than one point of usage.
2. Allow the cold water to flow from the outlet.
3. Keep the Gate valve at the inlet ALWAYS OPEN.
4. Switch ON the power supply to the unit.
5. The hot water flow at the usage point can be controlled
by the taps provided at the usage point.
6. Ensure that Pressure at the inlet is not more than 50
PSI. In case it is more, install a Pressure Reducing
Valve at the inlet.
Under normal circumstances due to its design & operation
Instant Water Heaters are recommended for Single point usage
only (Non-Pressure type installation). However if multi-point
usage is sought, Bajaj Majesty Instant Water Heater is
recommended for usage. This is due to the multiple safety features provided in this unit.
How to Operate? - Non Pressure Type
Installation. (Fig. 4)
1. This type of Installation supplies hot water at one
point only & is the safest recommended method of
installation & usage.
2. Keep the outlet ALWAYS OPEN. DO NOT CONNECT
GATE VALVE AT THE OUTLET.
3. Provide a Gate valve at the inlet as shown in the Fig. 3.
The hot water flow through the outlet is to be controlled
by this Gate valve.
4. Allow cold water to flow from the outlet.
5. Switch ON the power supply.
6. With the help of Gate Valve at the inlet, you can control
the flow of hot water.
7. After use, first switch OFF the power supply.
8. Allow hot water to flow out. This prevents scaling of the
element and increases its life.
9. Close the Gate Valve at the inlet.
Operation of Thermostat and Thermal
cutout.
1. The new Bajaj Majesty Instant Water Heater is provided with Double Safety System of Thermostat and
Thermal cut-out. The functioning of these temperature control devices is indicated by the green and red
lamps respectively.
2. When the unit is switched ON the green lamp glows. At the pre-fixed temp. of 60
o
C the green lamp switches
OFF indicating that the Automatic Thermostat has switched oft the power supply to the unit.
3. When the thermostat fails to operate at the pre-fixed temperature of 60
o
C the red lamp switches ON. This
indicates that thermal cut-out has operated at 90
o
C. The red lamp also switches ON when the unit operates
without water. When the red light glows ON, the unit can be restarted by pushing the reset switch provided
outside the unit. However, in such a case it is advisable to contact the nearest Bajaj Sales & Service Station.
4. In the rare case that the Thermostat and Thermal cutout fails the fusible plug melts. This enables release of
hot water and steam. Thus it prevents any untoward incidents.
5. When the red lamp keeps glowing, contact the nearest Bajaj Sales or Service Centre.
6. Please note that in this model, the thermal cut-out is not provided with a resetting mechanism outside the
unit. It is strongly Advised not to operate the unit by resetting the thermal cut-out as the
thermostat needs to be tested/replaced.
The Do's and Don'ts
1. Read installation and operating instructions carefully before use.
2. Get an authorised plumber to install the geyser.
3. Allow the water to flow out from the outlet. Only then, switch ON the power supply.
4. After use, make sure that power supply is switched OFF before closing the inlet (non-pressure type) or outlet
(pressure type)
5. Please ensure that proper earthing is provided to the unit.
6. Please contact the nearest Bajaj Sales or Service Centre in case of any problem/non-operation of the unit.
7. The working of Thermostat should be checked once in a while by ensuring that the green light glows ON &
OFF when the unit is in use.
8. Always get the unit serviced at least once in two years. Use genuine spare parts when replacement is
necessary.
