The food-safe material of de-

2. Intended purpose
The hand blender is designed exclusive-
ly for crushing and puréeing food.
The device is designed for private, do-
mestic use. The device must only be
used indoors.
This device must not be used for com-
mercial purposes.
Foreseeable misuse
Risk of material damage
~Do not use the device for chopping
particularly hard food, e.g. frozen
food, bones, nutmeg, grain, coffee
beans or spices. This device is also
not intended for processing choco-
late.

3. IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be fol-
lowed including the following:

when any appliance is used by or

~Blades are sharp. Handle carefully.
~Do not blend hot boiling liquids.
~When mixing liquids, use a tall con-
tainer or make small quantities at a
time to reduce spillage.
~Be certain blade attachment is se-
curely screwed onto the blender be-
fore operating appliance.
~Avoid contacting moving parts.
~Keep hands and utensils out of con-
tainer while blending to reduce the
risk of severe injury to persons or
damage to the blender. A scraper
may be used but must be used only
when the blender is not running.

Use this appliance only for its intended use as described in this
manual. Do not use attachments not recommended by the manufac-
turer.

This device must not be used by children.

Children must not play with the device.

The device and the power cable must be kept away from children.

or understanding if they are supervised or instructed on how to use

Risk for babies and children
~To avoid danger of suffocation,
keep this plastic bag away from ba-
bies and children. Do not use this
bag in cribs, beds, carriages, or
playpens. This bag is not a toy.
~Please ensure that children are not
able to pull the device down from
the work surface with the power ca-
ble.
Risk to or from pets and
livestock
~Electrical devices can represent a
hazard to pets and livestock. In ad-
dition, animals can also cause dam-
age to the device. For this reason
you should keep animals away from
electrical devices at all times.
Risk of electric shock due to
moisture
~The device must never be operated
in the vicinity of a bathtub, a show-
er, a filled hand basin or similar.
~The motor unit, the power cable
and the power plug must not be im-
mersed in water or other liquids.
~Protect the motor unit, the power ca-
ble and the power plug from damp-
ness and dripping or splashing
water.
~If liquid gets into the motor unit, re-
move the power plug immediately.
Have the device checked before re-
using.
~Never touch the device with wet
hands.
~If the device falls into water, discon-
nect the power plug immediately.
Only then is it safe to retrieve the
device.
Risk of electric shock
~Plug must match the outlet.
Never modify the plug in any
way. Do not use any adapter
plugs.
Unmodified plugs and
matching outlets will reduce risk of
electric shock.
~Avoid body contact with
earthed or grounded surfaces
such as pipes, radiators,
ranges and refrigerators.
There is an increased risk of electric
shock if your body is earthed or
grounded.
~Do not abuse the cord. Never
use the cord for carrying,
pulling or unplugging the
power tool. Keep cord away
from heat, oil, sharp edges or
moving parts.
Damaged or en-
tangled cords increase the risk of
electric shock.
~Only plug the power plug into the
wall socket after the device has
been completely assembled.
~Only connect the power plug to a
properly installed and easily acces-

responds to the specifications on the
rating plate. The wall socket must
continue to be easily accessible af-
ter the device is plugged in.
~Ensure that the power cable cannot
be damaged by sharp edges or hot
points. Do not wrap the power ca-
ble around the device.
~The device is not fully disconnected
from the power supply, even after it
is switched off. In order to fully dis-
connect it, pull out the power plug.
~When using the device, ensure that
the power cable cannot be trapped
or crushed.
~When removing the power plug
from the wall socket, always pull the
plug and never the cable.
~Disconnect the power plug from the
wall socket…

Do not use the device if there is visible
damage to the device or the power

~To avoid any risk, do not make
modifications to the device.
Risk of injury from cutting
~The blades of the blade attachment
carry on rotating after the device
has been switched off. Wait until
the blades have come to a standstill
before you remove the hand blend-
er out of a jug.
~Never reach into the rotating
blades. Do not touch rotating parts
with spoons or similar utensils. Keep
long hair or loose clothing away
from rotating parts as well.
~The blades of the blade attachment
are sharp. Please be very careful
when handling them. When wash-
ing manually, the water should be
sufficiently clear that you can see
the blades easily.
Risk of material damage
~Thick or firm peels, (e.g. of citrus
fruits, pineapple), stems and pips of
stone fruits (e.g. cherries, peaches,
apricots) must be removed before
blending.
~The device is designed for a maxi-
mum operating time of 60 seconds
without interruption (see “Operating
times” on page 10).
~In order to prevent damage to the
device, interrupt the blending pro-
cess immediately if the blades of the
blade attachment rotate with diffi-
culty or not at all. Pull out the power
plug and investigate whether there
is an obstruction in the blender jug
or whether the contents are too vis-
cous. Also check whether the device
is assembled correctly.
~Do not operate the device with emp-
ty blender jugs, as this causes the
motor to overheat and may result in
it being damaged.
~Only operate the device when the
blade attachment is screwed onto.
~Do not use the device for boiling
liquids or during the cooking pro-
cess.

~Only use the original accessories.
~The device (base unit, power cable
with power plug) is not dishwasher-
safe.
~Do not use any astringent or abra-
sive cleaning agents.

1. Remove all parts from the packag-
ing.
2. Check that all parts are present
and intact.
6. How to use
Remove all packing material.
Check to ensure that all parts are
present and undamaged.
Clean the device prior to its
first use! (see “Cleaning” on
page 11)
Risk of electric shock
~Only plug the power plug1 into a
wall socket if the motor unit2 has
been connected to the blender3.
~Insert the power plug1 into a
grounded outlet that conforms to the
specifications on the rating plate.
6.1 Connecting the blender
(Figure A)
1. Place the blender3 on the motor
unit2 in such a way, that the
attachment marking 5 points to
the symbol 6.
2. Turn the blender3 in such a way,
that the attachment marking 5
on the motor unit2 points to the
lock marking 6. The blender3
must engage noticeably.
6.2 Removing the blender

To remove, turn the blender3

7. Operation
Risk of injury from cutting
~Never reach in toward the rotating
blades. Do not touch rotating parts
with spoons or other utensils. Keep
long hair or loose clothing away
from rotating parts as well.
~Only switch on the device when the
blender3 is immersed in the food-
stuff.
~The blade continues to rotate after
the device is switched off. Wait until
the blender3 stops moving before
you take it out of the food.
Risk of material damage
~The device is designed for a maxi-
mum operating time of 1 minute
without interruption (see “Operating
times” on page 10).
~In order to prevent damage to the
device, interrupt the blending pro-
cess immediately if the blade is ei-
ther turning with difficulty or not
turning at all. Pull out the power
plug1 and check whether there is
something in the bowl blocking
movement or whether the food is
too tough. Also check whether the
device is assembled correctly.
7.1 Operating times
We recommend the following operating
times:
- up to 1 minute without interruption,
then 2 minutes break
7.2 Operating element
Keep the power button4 pressed to
work.
Release the power button4 to
switch the device off.
7.3 Application area
The blender3 is ideal for pureeing
cooked fruit and vegetables and for
mixing drinks, soups, sauces, etc. and
for making milkshakes.
Do not use the blender3 for extremely
hard food such as ice cubes, nuts or the
like.
TIP: before blending, ensure that there
is a sufficient amount of liquid in the
container!
1. Cut the cooked fruit and vegetables
into small pieces.
2. Fill food into a suitable container.
3. Immerse the blender into the food
to be pureed/mixed.
4. Connect the power plug1 with the
wall socket.
5. To blend, keep the power button4
pressed.
6. Move the blender3 up and down
a bit in the foodstuff, to ensure that
it is blended evenly.
7. When you are finished, release the
power button4.

8. After blending wait until standstill
before you remove the blade, then
pull the power plug1 and take the
blender3 out of the food.
9. Clean the device immediately if
possible.
TIP: if the blender3 builds up a suction
and adheres to the bottom of the jar, re-
lease the power button4 briefly.
8. Cleaning
Clean the device prior to its first
use!
Risk of electric shock
~Pull the power plug1 out of the
wall socket before you clean the de-
vice.
~The motor unit2, power cable and
power plug1 must not be immersed
into water or other liquids.
Risk of injury from cutting
~When washing manually, the water
should be sufficiently clear that you
can see the blade easily.
Risk of material damage
~Do not use any astringent or abra-
sive cleaning agents.
Wiping off
Wipe off the motor unit2 using a slight-
ly damp cloth.
Dishwasher / Washing off
The blender3 can be …
cleaned in the dishwasher, or
washed by hand in warm water
with detergent. Afterwards, rinse
the blender with clean water.
Dry all parts carefully, before reas-
sembling the device and storing it.
Some cleaning tips
Preferably clean the blender3 im-
mediately after use, to prevent food
residues from drying on and stick-
ing to the hand blender.
After processing very salty food-
stuffs, the blender3 should be
rinsed immediately.

9. Storage
Risk for babies and children
~Keep the device out of the reach of
children.

In order to avoid accidents, the

Select a location where neither high
temperatures nor moisture can af-
fect the device.
10. Disposal
This appliance must not be disposed of
as household garbage.
If the electrical appliance is no longer
be used, it must be handed over to the
relevant local public waste authorities
for disposal.
As a rule, these waste disposal authori-
ties run special reception units for elec-
trical appliances (recycling centers,
materials recovery centers etc.).

11. Troubleshooting
If your device fails to function as re-
quired, please try this checklist first. Per-
haps there is only a minor problem, and
you can solve it yourself.

What does this warranty
cover?
The warranty covers:
- Damage, breakage, or inoperabili-
ty due to defect.
- Damage not caused by normal
wear and tear or failure to follow
the safety and maintenance instruc-
tions provided in the user manual.
What is not covered by the
warranty?
The warranty does not cover damage
caused by:
- Normal wear and tear of the prod-
uct, including fragile parts (such as
switches, glass, etc.);
- Improper use or transport;
- Disregarding safety and mainte-
nance instructions;
- Accidents or acts of nature (e.g.,
lightening, fire, water, etc.);
- Tampering with the product (such as
removing cover, unscrewing screws
etc.).
Consequential and incidental damages
are also not covered under this warran-
ty. However, some states do not allow
the exclusion or limitation of incidental
or consequential damages, so this limi-
tation or exclusion may not apply to

sión grave a personas o daño a la
batidora. Se puede usar una espá-
tula pero solo debe usarse cuando
la batidora no esté en funciona-
miento.
