1 Safety instructions
This appliance corresponds to accepted
technological standards with regards
to safety and to the German Appliance
Safety Law. Nevertheless as a manufac-
turer we are committed to familiarise
you with the following safety instruc-
tions:
General safety
The appliance may only be connected
to a power supply whose voltage and
frequency comply with the specifica-
tions on the rating plate on the under-
side of the appliance!
Never pick up the appliance if
the lead is damaged,
the housing is damaged.
Never use the lead to pull the plug out
from the socket.
In order to avoid danger, if the connec-
tion lead of this appliance is damaged,
it must be replaced by the manufac-
turer, its customer service department
or a similarly qualified person.
Repairs to this appliance may only be
carried out by qualified service engi-
neers. Considerable danger may result
from improper repairs. If repairs
become necessary, please contact the
Customer Care Department or your
authorised dealer.

This appliance is not intended for use
by persons (including children) with
reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities or lack of experience and
knowledge unless they have been given
initial supervision or instruction con-
cerning use of the appliance by a per-
son responsible for their safety.
Safety of children
Never leave the appliance unattended
when on and supervise particularly
carefully if young children are around!
When using your appliance
Never release the accessories while the
processor/mixer is running.
Ensure fingers are kept away from
moving whisks and dough hooks. This
could result in injury!
Never use the mixer if you have wet
hands.
Plastic parts may not be placed on or
directly near to heaters.
Do not use this appliance to stir paints
(lacquers, polyesters etc.) This could
result in an explosion!
The appliance should be switched off
and unplugged before any cleaning or
maintenance work is done on it.
Never clean the appliance under run-
ning water or submerge it in washing-
up water.
The manufacturer is not liable for any
damages which are caused by using the
appliance for any other purpose than
that intended or incorrect use.
Installation, connection and ini-
tial use
The attachments are only to be
inserted into or removed from the
appliance when it is switched off.
Never switch on the appliance until the
working attachments are in the mixing
bowl with the ingredients to be proc-
essed. Always wait until the attach-
ments stop before you swing the mixer
head up.
Do not hold any hard objects (e.g. a
spoon, knife or whisk) against the
moving attachments and do not touch
them with your hand. This could
result in injury!
When you have finished working with
the appliance, switch it off and unplug
it from the electricity supply.
Disposal

Packaging material
The packaging materials are environ-
mentally friendly and can be recycled.
The plastic components are identified
by markings, e.g. >PE<, >PS<, etc.
Please dispose of the packaging mate-
rials in the appropriate container at
the community waste disposal faci-
lities.

to the applicable collection point for

Operation
You can use the appliance to mix,
knead and whisk food. The mixer and
mixing bowl are each driven separately
by their own motors, and the speeds of
the mixer and mixing bowl can be indi-
vidually adjusted. However the appli-
ance is switched on and off with one
single switch.
3 The dough hooks (Figure 1/H) are used
for heavy doughs, such as yeast dough,
short crust pastry, potato batters and
cake mixes.
The whisk (Figure 1/G) is suitable for
light cake mixes, egg white, cream,
mayonnaise, purées and for stirring
sauces and dessert powders.
Preparing for use
Raising the mixer (Figure 2)

Ensure that the appliance is switched
off before raising/lowering!
0 Press the raise/lower button (Figure
1/D) and swing the mixer up, until it
clicks in place.

With the mixer raised, the accessories
can be easily changed and the mixing
bowl located on the processor stand or
removed.
Inserting accessories
(Figure 3–4)

Each ot the two dough hooks resp.
whisks has different plug shapes and
must be pushed into the correct slot. If
only one of the accessories will lock in
place, the accessories are in the wrong
socket.
0 Place the oval shaped whisk into the
smaller socket (Figure 3/a). Place the
whisk with the plastic nodules on the
base into the larger socket (Figure 3/b).
0 Place the dough hook with the shorter
hook into the smaller socket (Figure
4/a). Place the dough hook with the
longer hook into the larger socket
(Figure 4/b).

Push the accessories into the accessory
slots until they click into place!

You may need to twist the accessories
slightly to engage them in position
prior to pushing them into place.
Lowering the mixer (Figure 6)
0 Press the raise/lower button (Figure
1/D) and swing the mixer down, until it
clicks in place.
Locating/removing the mixing
bowl (Figure 5)
0 Locate the mixing bowl on the guide
on the base and latch in place by
gently turning clockwise.
0 To remove the mixing bowl, turn anti-
clockwise to unlatch.

It may be necessary to hold the base to
prevent it rotating.
The off-centre position of the mixer
makes it easy to add ingredients while
the processor is in operation.
Removing accessories (Figure 7)

Before releasing the accessories, switch
off the mixer and remove the plug
from the mains socket!
0 To remove the accessories, hold firmly
with one hand, while pressing the
accessory release button (Figure 1/A).
Working with the mixer/
processor

The appliance can be used for up to
10 minutes without stopping. It should
be allowed to cool each time following
prolonged, continuous operation (for
at least 20 minutes after using for
10 minutes without stopping).

Maximum processing quantities:
Processing in the mixing bowl must not
exceed 2 kg solid or 3 l liquid food-
stuffs.

Switching the mixer ON
(Figure 8)
0 With the mixer speed selector switch
(Figure 1/C) in the „0“-position, plug
the mains plug into a wall socket.
The power indicator light lights up.
0 The mixer speed selector switch (Figure
1/C) is used to:
switch the mixer ON and OFF,
control the mixer speed (10 speed
settings).
Selecting the mixing bowl speed
(Figure 9)
The mixing bowl has two speed set-
tings.
0 The mixing bowl speed selector switch
(Figure 1/E) is used to select the mixing
bowl speed:
= low speed
= high speed
Switching the mixer OFF
0 Turn the mixer speed selector switch
(Figure 1/C) to "0".
The mixer and mixing bowl are
switched off.
Selecting the correct settings
The following notes can be used as a guide. Adaptions may be necessary according to
quantity and condition of the processed foodstuff.
Mixer speed

Start all types of processing at a low speed. This will avoid powdery foods and liquids
spraying out.
Mixing bowl speed
Use the high speed for whisking egg
white, cream and light cake mixtures.
Use the low speed for heavy dough and
large quantities.
Mixer speed selector switch (Figure 1/C)
Kneading, Mixing: start with 1 or 2, than speed up according to demand
Folding in: 3 or 4
Stirring: start with 4 or 5, than speed up according to demand
Whisking, Frothing: 9 or 10

Cleaning and care

Remove the plug from the mains
socket before cleaning.
Ensure that no water penetrates into
the inside of the appliance! Never
clean the appliance under running
water and never immerse in water.
0 Wipe the appliance with a damp cloth.
0 Clean the whisks and dough hooks
with a brush or a cloth under running
water or in the dishwasher.
0 The stainless steel mixing bowl can be
washed in the dishwasher.
Storage
Store the dough hooks and whisks in
the mixing bowl located on the base.
This will protect them from damage.

Recipes
Basic recipe for sponge

Accessories required:
whisks
0 Place white of egg and water in the
mixing bowl. Start on setting 2, if nec-
essary speed up and whisk until stiff.
0 Add sugar and vanilla sugar and whisk
for a further 1 minute or so until the
sugar has dissolved.
0 Add egg yolk and stir in.
0 Mix flour, cornflour and baking pow-
der, add to creamy mass and stir
briefly.
0 Fill dough in a spring mould and bake.
Basic recipe for cake mix

Accessories required:
whisks
0 Place all ingredients in the mixing bowl
in the order stated.
0 Start on setting 3-4, if necessary speed
up and stir until the dough is smooth
and creamy.
0 Fill the dough in a suitable baking tin
and bake.

The dough can be modified slightly as
required by the addition of other fla-
vourings.
Example for marble cake:
0 Fill 2/3 of the dough in the tin. Add 1
tablespoon cocoa powder and 1 table-
spoon milk to the remaining dough
and stir in again briefly.
0 Fill the dark dough over the light in the
baking tin. Draw a fork in spiral motion
through both layers of dough to obtain
the marble pattern.

80 g flour
80 g cornflour
1 tsp. baking powder

Basic recipe for short pastry

Accessories required:
dough hooks
0 Place flour, baking powder, salt and
sugar in the mixing bowl. Cut cold but-
ter into pieces and add.
0 Stir for about 1 minute on setting 3-4,
add the egg and cold water and con-
tinue stirring until the dough forms a
ball.
0 Take the dough from the bowl and
continue kneading briefly with the
hands.
0 Allow the dough to rest in the refriger-
ator for about 30 minutes before
processing further.
0 Roll out dough, place in a well greased
mould and add fruit, e.g. apples or
plums, as desired
Basic recipe for yeast dough

Accessories required:
dough hooks
0 Place all ingredients in the mixing bowl
in the order stated.
0 Start on setting 3-4, if necessary speed
up and stir for 1 to 1½ minutes until
the dough forms a ball.
0 Take dough from bowl and knead
briefly further with the hands.
0 Then knead in ingredients with the
hands which are not to be reduced, e.g.
raisins.
0 Before further processing allow the
dough to expand in a covered bowl in a
warm place until about twice the size.

Application possibilities:
plaited leavened bread, yeast fancy bis-
cuits, fruit flans, hollow noodles.
For spicy cakes, e.g. onion cake, prepare
the yeast dough without sugar.

125 g cold margarine or butter
60 g sugar
1 pinch salt

1 tbsp. cold water
500 g flour
40 g yeast (fresh) or
1 pck. dry yeast
80 g sugar
