Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner

Read all the instructions carefully before using your appliance •
and keep them for future reference. If you pass the product on
to a third party, include this manual.
Ensure the appliance is switched o when not in use, removing •
or attaching lters, accessories, the dust cup and before clean-
ing any part of the appliance.
Do not immerse the body of the cleaner or the battery or the •
power supply unit (charger) in water or liquids.
Do not use outdoors in damp or wet weather•
Do not use your appliance indoors in damp or wet conditions.•
Do not use attachments or accessories which are not recommend-•
ed by the manufacturer. They may cause malfunction or injury.
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and •
above and persons with reduced physical sensory or mental
capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have
been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the ap-
pliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
Children shall not play with the appliance.•
Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children.•
This appliance is for household use. Do not use for any purpose •
not expressly specied in this manual.
There are no user serviceable parts in this appliance. Unauthor-•
ised dismantling or servicing will void the warranty.
Refer all servicing which involves the taking or putting on of •
parts (other than those specically referred to in this manual),
to a qualied repair person or approved service centre.
Do not use harsh abrasives, or caustic cleaners when cleaning •
this appliance.
Store the appliance away from direct sunlight.•
Do not expose the appliance to temperatures below 0°C or •
above 40°C.
The appliance is only to be used with the power supply •
unit (Charger) provided with the appliance.
If the power supply unit or DC cable is damaged, it must be •
replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly
qualied person in order to avoid a hazard.
When operating your cleaner:
NEVER leave the cleaner unattended.
When using the cleaner as a hand-held appliance store the main ap-
pliance safely out of harms way or hang it up on the storage bracket.
Do NOT use the vacuum cleaner if it has been dropped, damaged,
left outdoors, or dropped into water.
Do NOT use the vacuum cleaner to pick up large objects or objects
that are likely to damage the vacuum cleaner.
Do NOT attempt to vacuum long hair, string, pieces of cloth, etc.
These may clog the cleaner.
Keep hair, loose clothing, jewellery, ngers, feet and all parts of your
body away from openings and moving parts.
Wear sensible footwear. Do not operate in bare feet, socks or wear-
ing open toed footwear.
Do NOT vacuum hot items; e.g. cigarettes, matches, ashes.
Do NOT vacuum hard or metal or sharp objects, nails pins, etc.
Do NOT
vacuum
toxic, or ammable materials or use the appliance
in the presence of explosive or toxic dust, liquids or vapour.
Do NOT vacuum toner dust from printers or copiers or vacuum ash or
soot in any form.
Do NOT vacuum insects or any other creatures.
Use only on dry, indoor surfaces.
Do NOT put any objects into openings.
Do NOT use without all the lters in place or with any lter blocked.
Before use check that the dust cup is empty and empty it frequently
during use.
Use extra care when vacuuming on stairs.
Keep all vents openings and attachments free of dust, lint, hair and
anything else that may reduce air ow.
Keep all attachments away from your face and body.
If the appliance is clogged, switch o before clearing the obstruction.
LITHIUM ION BATTERY. DO NOT PUNCTURE, DROP,
PLACE ON HOT SURFACES OR EXPOSE TO HEAT OR WATER.
This appliance uses a Lithium Ion Battery. HANDLE THE BATTERY
WITH CARE. There is a risk of leakage, explosion, re or burns:
If the battery is opened, exposed to heat, re or immersed in •
liquids.
If the battery terminals are short-circuited with a metal object.•
LEAKAGE: If the battery is punctured or mishandled the battery
contents may leak. If battery contents come into contact with skin
or eyes, rinse the aected area continuously for 15 minutes in clean
cold water and seek medical help immediately.
The battery must be disposed only in specially designated disposal
areas. Refer to Page 8 for details concerning battery disposal.

CLEAN ALL AIRWAYS AND FILTERS AT REGULAR INTERVALS AND AND
EMPTY THE DUST BEFORE THE DUST CUP IS FULL. FAILURE TO CLEAN
THE FILTERS AND EMPTY THE DUST IN GOOD TIME WILL RESTRICT THE
AIRFLOW AND RESULT IN POOR CLEANER PERFORMANCE.
DAMAGE
CAUSED BY FAILURE TO EMPTY THE DUST AND TO CLEAN FILTERS AND
AIRWAYS AS SPECIFIED
WILL NOT BE COVERED BY THE WARRANTY.
If the appliance malfunctions: Switch it o immediately (and
disconnect the power supply). Seek help as soon as possible.

Remove all packaging from the appliance and accessories. Retain
the packaging. If you dispose of it, do so according to any recycling
regulations.
Identify the cleaner components from the illustrations. If any items are
missing or damaged, contact your nearest Tesco store for assistance.
Please have your receipt ready when you call.
Please read all these instructions before you use your cleaner.
The cleaner is provided with a wall mounting assembly. When the
cleaner is not in use and/or when charging the battery we suggest you
place the cleaner in the wall mount.

Wall Mounting the Cleaner
Assembling The Cleaner
The cleaner should be mounted within easy reach of a mains power
point. When mounted the cleaner should be securely hung on the
mounting bracket with the cleaner oor head resting on the oor.
The wall or other mounting surface should be secure and be able to
stand the weight of the appliance plus a small amount of pulling force.
Screws are provided to attach the mounting bracket, but it is your
responsibility to ensure that they are suitable for use with your wall. If
not, you should provide suitable screws and fastening hardware.
If you are in any doubt as to your ability to safely complete this procedure,
consult a suitably qualied technician.
1: Attach the support bracket to the wall.
Mark a line 400mm above the oor.
Centre the bracket mount on this line as shown and
place the bracket with the top edge horizontal.
Using the bracket as a template mark out the three x-
ing holes. Attach the bracket securely to the wall with
suitable xings. You may need to drill and plug the wall.

2: Attach the cleaner to the bracket.
Push the mounting boss of the cleaner
into the bracket mount to securely at-
tach the cleaner.
3: The oor head should rest on
the oor for greater security.
1: Remove the Hand Vacuum from the cradle.
Lay the cleaner cradle at on a worktop. Press the “Hand Vac” button and
lift out the hand vacuum from the cradle.
2: Attach the Floor Head.
Turn the cleaner on its front. Press the oor head catch in and then insert
the oor head all the way. Release the catch and check the head is secure.
3: Insert the handle.
Turn the cleaner on its back. Push the handle in as far as it will go.
4: Secure the handle.
Turn the cleaner on its front. Remove the attachment screw from its
plastic bag. Screw it rmly into the hole below the handle. Do not over-
tighten.
5: Stand the cradle upright and replace the hand vacuum.
Assembly is now complete

Charging the Cleaner Battery
Cleaning Floors and Carpets (Upright Mode)
Make sure the battery is securely attached - refer to Page XX for details on attaching and detaching the battery.1.
Attach the cleaner to the support bracket.2.
Make sure the cleaner power switch is OFF.3.
Fully unwrap the DC power supply cord. Plug the DC socket of the adaptor into the charging point on the cleaner. Now plug the power sup-4.
ply into a mains point and switch on at the mains. Ensure the DC cord is not stretched taut and is unlikely to be pulled out of the cleaner,
Charge the battery for 5 hours or until the battery is fully charged. The battery is fully charged when all the lights on the battery indicator 5.
are lit. Refer to illustration 5 below.
IMPORTANT: Lithium Ion batteries should not be kept “topped up”. Leaving the charger connected to the battery for long periods when the battery is
fully charged will shorten the battery’s useful life. If two lights show on the indicator and if the cleaning job is small, it is better to use the cleaner in this
condition than to continuously charge the battery.
Make sure the cleaner power switch is OFF.1.
Unplug and coil the DC supply cable and 2.
store the power supply.
Lift the cleaner o the support bracket and 3.
place the cleaner on the oor.
Place your foot on the oor head and angle 4.
the cleaner back to unlock the oor head.
Switch the cleaner on by setting the Power 5.
Switch to the “Floor” or “Carpet” position to
suit your oor. (The oor brush operates only
when carpet mode is selected.)
Press the TURBO switch for an extra burst 6.

During operation you can rotate the cleaner 7.

By releasing the handle lock you can use the

down to free it, DO NOT force it or attempt
to fold it through an angle greater than 90°
or you may damage the appliance.
You can now access all those dicult areas.9.
When you have nished:
Return the handle to the upright position and
make sure it locks in place.
Switch the cleaner o.
Place your foot on the oor head, set the cleaner
upright and make sure it locks in place.
Empty the dust, clean the lters if necessary and
attach the cleaner to the storage bracket after
use

BATTERY INDICATOR MENU
Top Indicator lit only - Battery needs charging.
Top and Centre indicators lit - Battery is partially
charged. You can use the cleaner for short spells.
All three indicators lit - Battery is fully charged.
You can use the cleaner normally.
Do not overcharge the battery. Disconnect the
charger when all three indicators are lit.

Using the Cleaner as a Handheld Device
Cleaning and Maintenance
Make sure the cleaner power switch is OFF. Unplug 1.
and coil the DC supply cable and store the power
supply. Lift the cleaner o the support bracket and
place the cleaner on the oor.
Removing and Replacing the Hand Vac
To remove: Support the cleaner. Hold the Handle of 2.
the Hand Vacuum, press the HAND VAC button and
release the Hand Cleaner from the Frame.
To replace: Place the Hand Vac into the slot in the 3.
frame. Push it back until it clicks into place. Pull it
slightly to ensure it is locked.
Operation
There is an extension tube in the nozzle of the 4.
cleaner. This has two positions - short and extended.
Pull the tube out to select the desired length. En-
sure the tube is locked in position. There is a brush
at the side of the cleaner. If you wish to use the
brush, lift it o and slide it over the extension tube.
Hold the cleaner securely in one hand and press the 5.
ON OFF switch to start the cleaner.
Gently pass the cleaner over the surface. Switch the
cleaner o between operations to conserve battery life.
There is no TURBO mode when the cleaner is handheld.
After Use: Switch o both the power switches.
Replace the extension tube and brush, empty the dust,
clean the lters if necessary.
Replace the cleaner in the main frame and attach the as-
sembled cleaner to the storage bracket after use.

Removing the Dust
When the Dust reaches the FULL mark you must empty the Dust Cup. 1.
Remove the Hand Vac from the cradle. Hold it over a bin, press the 2.
Release Button and shake all the dust into the bin. Now close the
Dust Cup.
Cleaning the Filters and Motor Cavity
As dust accumulates in the lter, the increased resistance will cause the air
ow to decrease. Clean the lters regularly and ideally after every use.
Press the Dust Cup release button and remove the Dust cup from the 3.
cleaner body.
Invert the cup and remove the black sponge lter.4.
The main lter is a two-part assembly
Pull the inner EPU lter out.5.
Now remove the outer mesh lter6.
Brush out the lters with a soft brush. If they are soiled, wash them 7.
out fully under running water. Let them dry before replacing them.
Never replace a damp lter in the cleaner.
Brush out any debris from the motor cavity.8.
After cleaning, replace the lters
Make sure all lters are dry, Assemble 1.

the cleaner. Note the locating spigot
in the outer lter.
Replace the sponge lter. 2.
Return the Dust Cup to the Hand Vac. 3.
Place it into the catch as shown and
press it back until it clicks into place.
Now replace the Hand Vac into the 4.
Frame.
Floor Brush: Cleaning and Maintenance
Hair, threads and bres can clog the brush,
impeding rotation and impairing cleaner
performance. Inspect the brush after every
use and clean it as necessary.
Switch the cleaner o and remove 5.
the Floor Head. from the cleaner.
Place the oor head on a workbench 6.
and hinge the brush retainer clip out.
Carefully ease out the brush with the 7.
aid of a screwdriver or similar tool.
Remove the brush completely. 8.
Remove any adhered items and clean the
brush thoroughly.
Replace the brush. Place the left 9.
side of the brush in the bearing and
then press the brush rmly into
place. Close the brush retainer clip
and check that the brush rotates
smoothly.
Replace the Floor Head. in the 10.
cleaner.
Clearing a Blockage
If the cleaner loses suction this may be
due to clogged lters or a blockage. DO
NOT operate the cleaner if the suction is
impaired.
If you suspect a blockage:
Set the cleaner upright, switch o imme-
diately. Empty the dust, check the lters
and the oor brush and clean them.
If this does not remove the blockage:
Clearing a blockage in the Hand 11.
Vac: Remove the Hand Vac from the
cradle. Remove the lters and open
the Dust Cup. Clear the blockage
with a exible stick.
Clearing a blockage in the Floor 12.
Head: Lean the Floor Head fully
back. Remove the Floor Head from
the cradle. Remove the brush from
the Floor Head. Clear the blockage
with a exible stick.
Reassemble the cleaner when you have
nished and and attach it to the support
bracket.
