Using the Appliance

When you have finished vacuuming:

$Disconnect the accessories and store the cleaner vertically

Empty the dust cup

The maximum dirt
level is marked on the
Dust Cup.
You must empty the Dust Cup before the dirt reaches the
MAX mark. Failure to do this will impair the efficiency of the
cleaner.
Switch the cleaner off and unplug it.
Lift up the dust cup release lever and then carefully remove the
dust cup from the cleaner.
Invert the dust cup over a bin.
Press the catch on the lid
which will pop open.
Shake and tap the dust cup
lightly to remove as much
dust as possible.
Close the lid.
If you are still vacuuming,
replace the cup.
Cleaning the Dust Cup Filters
The HEPA Filter stops nearly all dust particles and airborne
allergens from re-entering the air you breathe. Around the flter
there is a debris screen.

Clean this filter and screen every time you use the cleaner.
Failure to do this will impair performance and may
damage the cleaner motor.
Remove the lid of the dust cup.
Hold the dust cup firmly
and rotate the lid as shown
to open.

Hold the dust cup lid. Rotate the filter assembly to unlock it. Lift
the filter assembly out.
Tap the filter on the edge of a bin to shake off any excess dust.
Wash the debris screen under running water to free all
particles.
Brush out the HEPA filter with a soft brush. If the filter is soiled,
wash it under running water until it is thoroughly clean.
Allow both parts of the filter to dry and then reassemble the
filter and re insert it into the Dust Cup.
NEVER replace a filter if it is damp.

Cleaning the Inlet Filter
The Inlet filter is inside the cleaner. Whenever you remove
the Dust Cup, you should inspect this filter and clean it.
This filter should be cleaned regularly, and whenever it shows
any signs of dirt.
Lift the filter out, brush it thoroughly and if necessary wash it
under running water. Allow to dry fully.
If there is any dirt around the inlet cavity carefully brush it out.
This will help keep the internal airways clean and maintain top
cleaner performance.
When the filter is thoroughly dry replace it in the inlet. Press the
filter firmly in to ensure it is firmly trapped in place by the two
tetaining tabs in the inlet cavity.
NEVER replace a filter when it is wet or even damp.
Cleaning the Exhaust Filter
The Exhaust filter is located at the right of the cleaner,
This filter should be cleaned regularly, and whenever it shows
any signs of dirt.
Rotate the filter cover to the left to open it. Remove the cover

Allow to dry fully.

It is essential to inspect clean the filters regularly. The period
between inspections will depend on how often and for how
long you use the cleaner. The filter and debris screen in
the dust cup should be cleaned whenever you empty
the dust. The motor inlet and exhaust filters should be
checked after every three cleaning sessions.
If the cleaner shows any sign of losing suction, switch off,
check and clean the filters and if necessary, clear any
blockage.
NEVER operate the cleaner with clogged filters, you
could damage the cleaner motor.
If a filter shows any sign of wear or damage, or clogging
that ordinary cleaning cannot remove it should be
replaced. Contact the Tesco helpline number on the last
page of this manual for assistance.

OPERATING CAUTIONS
$NEVER operate the cleaner with damaged filters or with a filter missing

$If an obstruction occurs during cleaning: Turn the cleaner OFF and unplug. Check the dust level. Empty the dust cup. Check
the hose and the tubes for blockage and clear these manually following the instructions previously given..

Wipe the cleaner body with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly. Do NOT allow water or liquids to penetrate the vacuum cleaner.

The cleaner can be stored upright on its base with the hose and accessories disconnected and separately stored. The cleaner
may also be stored fully assembled with the brush in the parked position.

If the cleaner loses suction and the dust in the dust cup is below the
MAX mark, this may be due to clogged filters or a blockage. DO
NOT operate if the suction is impaired.
$If you suspect a blockage: Switch off and unplug immediately.
Empty the dust, check and clean the filters.
$If this does not remove the blockage: Check the extension
tubes and accessories visually and remove any blockage with a
stick or broom handle.
To clean the Internal Suction tube:
