Elektrischer Schlag durch Berühren spannungsführender Bauele-
mente
Elektrischer Schlag führt zu schweren Verletzungen oder Tod
Trennen Sie das Gerät vor dem Öffnen von der Netzspannung.
Führen Sie Installationsarbeiten nur an von der Netzspannung ge-
trennten Geräten durch.
HINWEIS
Elektrostatisch gefährdete Bauelemente
Elektrostatische Entladung (ESD) kann zu Schäden an elektronischen
Bauelementen führen. Beschädigte Bauelemente führen nicht immer so-
fort zu Fehlfunktionen, sondern manchmal erst nach einiger Zeit.
Treffen Sie daher Vorkehrungen zum ESD-Schutz, bevor Sie gefährdete
Bauelemente aus der Verpackung entnehmen und Arbeiten im Elektro-
nikbereich durchführen:
Erden Sie sich, bevor Sie elektronische Bauelemente berühren (ESD-
Kleidung, -Armband, -Schuhe etc.).
Führen Sie Arbeiten an elektronischen Bauelementen nur an geeigne-
ten ESD-Arbeitsplätzen (EPA) mit geeigneten ESD-Werkzeugen
durch (Antistatik-Matte, Leitfähige Schraubendreher etc.).
Transportieren Sie elektronische Bauelemente außerhalb der EPA nur
in geeigneten ESD-Verpackungen.
Entnehmen Sie elektronische Bauelemente niemals aus ihrer Verpa-
ckung, wenn Sie sich außerhalb der EPA befinden.

mit der Arbeit beginnen.
• Bei den Abbildungen handelt es sich um Beispiele, die vom realen
Produkt abweichen können (z.B. Positionen der Bauelemente).
3.1 Öffnen des Terminals
1. Gerät von der Netzspannung trennen.
2. Schrauben auf der Rückseite des Terminals lösen.

HINWEIS
Achten Sie darauf, dass Sie keine Kabel beschädigen
(z.B. durch Abreißen oder Einklemmen).
Beide Hälften des Terminals vorsichtig aufklappen.

3.2 Übersicht über die Platine
Die Platine bestimmter Anzeigegeräte bietet mehrere Steckplätze für KERN-Zubehör,
mit welchem Sie den Funktionsumfang Ihres Gerätes bei Bedarf erweitern können.

Auf der oberen Abbildung sind beispielhaft verschiedene Steckplätze abgebildet. Es
gibt drei Steckplatz-Größen für optionale Module: S, M, L. Diese weisen eine bes-
timmte Anzahl an Pins auf.
Die richtige Position für Ihr Modul erfahren Sie über die Größe und Anzahl der Pins
(z.B. Größe L, 6 Pin), welche in den jeweiligen Installationsschritten beschrieben wird.
Bei mehreren identischen Steckplätzen auf der Platine ist es egal, welchen Steckplatz
Sie von diesen auswählen. Das Gerät erkennt automatisch um welches Modul es sich
handelt.

3.4 Schließen des Terminals
1. Modul auf festen Sitz überprüfen.

Achten Sie darauf, dass Sie keine Kabel beschädigen
(z.B. durch Abreißen oder Einklemmen).
Stellen Sie sicher, dass eventuell vorhandene Dichtun-
gen an Ihrem vorgesehenen Platz sind.
Beide Hälften des Terminals vorsichtig zusammenklappen.

Das KUM-Modul ist mit Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) kompatibel und unter “KERN
BLE” mit einer eindeutigen MAC Adresse für Bluetooth Master Geräte sichtbar.
Bitte verwenden Sie für den Zugriff eine entsprechende Software-Anwendung / App
mit Unterstützung für Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). Anwendungen ausschließlich für
Bluetooth Classic (BTC) funktionieren nicht.
Folgendes Profil muss eingestellt werden:

⚠ DANGER
The electrical shock caused by touching live components
An electrical shock results in serious injury or death.
Before opening the device, disconnect it from the power source.
Only perform installation work on devices that are disconnected from
the power source.
NOTICE
Electrostatically endangered structural components
Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) can cause damage to electronic
components. A damaged component may not always malfunction
immediately but may take some time to do so.
Make sure to take precautions for ESD protection before removing
hazardous components from their packaging and working in the electronic
area:
Ground yourself before touching electronic components (ESD
clothing, wristband, shoes, etc.).
Only work on electronic components at suitable ESD workplaces
(EPA) with suitable ESD tools (antistatic mat, conductive screwdrivers,
etc.).
When transporting electronic components outside the EPA, only use
suitable ESD packaging.
Do not remove electronic components from their packaging when they
are outside the EPA.

3.2 Overview of the circuit board
The circuit board of certain display devices offers several slots for KERN accessories,
which allow you to extend the range of functions of your device if necessary.
Information on this can be found on our homepage: www.kern-sohn.com
The illustration above shows examples of the various slots. There are three slot sizes
for optional modules: S, M, L. These have a certain number of pins.
The correct position for your module is determined by the size and number of pins (e.g.
size L, 6 pins), which is described in the respective installation steps.
If you have several identical slots on the board, it does not matter which slot you select
from these. The device automatically recognizes which module it is.

3.4 Closing the terminal
1. Check the module for a tight fit.

NOTICE
Make sure that you do not damage any cables (e.g. by
tearing them off or pinching them).
Make sure that any existing seals are in their intended
place.
Carefully close both halves of the terminal.
3. Close the terminal by screwing it together.

The KUM module is compatible with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and is visible under
"KERN BLE" with a unique MAC address for Bluetooth Master devices.
To access this, please use an appropriate software program / app which supports
Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). Applications exclusively using Bluetooth Classic (BLC)
will not work.

Un choc électrique entraîne des blessures graves ou la mort
Débranchez l'appareil de la tension du secteur avant de l'ouvrir.
N'effectuez les travaux d'installation que sur des appareils hors
tension.
REMARQUE
Eléments constitutifs mis en danger par électrostatique
Les décharges électrostatiques (ESD) peuvent endommager les
composants électroniques. Les éléments endommagés n'entraînent pas
toujours immédiatement des pannes de fonctionnement, mais parfois
seulement après un certain temps.
Prenez donc des mesures de protection contre les décharges
électrostatiques avant de sortir les composants dangereux de leur
emballage et d'effectuer des travaux dans le domaine de l'électronique :
Mettez-vous à la terre avant de toucher des composants électroniques
(vêtements, bracelets, chaussures ESD, etc.).
N'effectuez des travaux sur des composants électroniques qu'à des
postes de travail ESD appropriés (EPA) avec des outils ESD adaptés
(tapis antistatique, tournevis conducteurs, etc.).
Ne transportez les composants électroniques en dehors de l'EPA que
dans des emballages ESD appropriés.
Ne retirez jamais les composants électroniques de leur emballage
lorsqu'ils se trouvent en dehors de l'EPA

3.1 Ouverture du terminal

2. Desserrer les vis au dos du terminal.

en les arrachant ou en les coinçant).
Ouvrir délicatement les deux moitiés du terminal.

3.2 Aperçu de la platine électronique
La platine de certains appareils d'affichage offre plusieurs slots pour les accessoires
KERN, qui vous permettent d'étendre les fonctionnalités de votre appareil si
nécessaire. Informations voir sur notre site internet: www.kern-sohn.com
Sur l'illustration du haut, différents slots sont représentés à titre d'exemple. Il existe
trois tailles de slots pour les modules optionnels : S, M, L. Ceux-ci présentent un certain
nombre de broches.
Pour connaître la position correcte de votre module, il faut se référer à la taille et au
nombre de broches (par ex. taille L, 6 broches), qui sont décrits dans les étapes
d'installation correspondantes.
S'il y a plusieurs slots identiques sur la platine, vous pouvez choisir n'importe lequel
d'entre eux. L'appareil reconnaît automatiquement de quel module il s'agit.

3.3 Installation du module
1. Ouvrir le terminal (voir chap. 3.1).
2. Retirer le module de son emballage.
3. Retirer le film de protection de la pastille adhésive située sur la face inférieure du
module.
4. Enficher le module sur un slot de taille M, 4 broches.
5. Le module a été installé.

3.4 Fermeture du terminal
1. Vérifier que le module est bien fixé.

REMARQUE
Veillez à ne pas endommager les câbles (par exemple
en les arrachant ou en les coinçant).
Assurez-vous que les éventuels joints d'étanchéité sont
à l'endroit prévu.
Replier délicatement les deux moitiés du terminal.
3. Visser le terminal.

Le module KUM est compatible avec Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) et visible sous

Pour l'accès utilisez svp. une application de logiciel correspondante / App avec
support pour Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). Les applications exclusifs pour Bluetooth
Classic (BLC) ne fonctionnent pas.
