Subject: Printer Driver Download and Installation
This procedure explains the method for downloading and installing printer drivers for the KX-P6000 series
printers for Windows 3.xx, Windows 95/98 and Windows NT and Windows 2000.
1 Log on to the Panasonic website www.panasonic.co.uk
via your Internet Browser.
2 Select ‘Technical Tips and Documents’.
3 From the categories box select ‘Computer Products’ and Submit Query.

4 From the Computer Products window make the following selections:
5 A screen titled ‘Select Documents for Download’ will now appear.
6 Select the required file by clicking on the blue document title. In most cases the printer drivers are
split into two files and therefore both will need to be downloaded independently.

7 Upon selection you will be asked if you wish to save the program to disk. Select OK
8 The next stage allows you to select a destination for the file. Select an appropriate directory on your
Hard Drive.
9 Select ‘Save’ and the download will commence.

10 The downloaded files are self extracting. In order to unpack the files carry out the following
procedure.
• Prepare two blank floppy disks and label them KXP6xxx Disk 1 and Disk 2 respectively.
• Insert Disk 1 into the floppy drive and double click on the first of the two files which were
downloaded i.e. P6xxx-1 (which relates to disk 1).
• The self extracting program will run and copy the files to the A: drive.
• Follow the same steps for Disk 2.
11 Upon completion insert Disk 1 into the floppy drive and select ‘Run’ from the Windows ‘Start
Menu’ and type in A:\setup.exe. Select OK. This will start the printer installation program.
12 Upon completion click Finish.
13 Your printer is now fully installed.
