desCriPtion
The Extron CPM208 is an MAAP bay that can be easily mounted into virtually any furniture
surface - tabletop, lectern, instructor's station - providing easy access to cables and
A/V connection points. The CPM208 accepts up to eight single-space Extron MAAP - Mini
Architectural Adapter Plates to help create a custom MAAP bay optimized for each application.
Active and passive MAAPs are available and sold separately. Active MAAPs include VGA line
drivers, audio buffers, twisted pair transmitters and receivers, and AC power outlet modules.
Passive MAAPs include video, audio, phone, data, and control connectors. Custom engraving
to label individual MAAPs is available at an additional charge.
The CPM208 offers cable management via tie points on the bottom of the enclosure. These
tie points simplify captive cable installations by allowing the creation of cable loops when used
with the optional Captive Cable Kits.
The CPM208 features a modular connector carriage that can be installed in either an upper or
a lower position depending on the application. In the upper position, the MAAP mounting panel
is recessed 1" below the lid. This position is ideal for applications using both active and passive
MAAPs. In the lower position, the MAAP mounting panel is recessed 2.5" inches below the lid.
This position is ideal for installations where cables will be permanently installed in the connector
bay and pulled out as needed. The CPM208 is available with a black finish.
