PSOM Client Installation
PSOM Client Installation
The PSOM client software consists of the following files. These files are located on the PSOM server in
the c:\Files\Proximex folder, or you can download from Cisco.com.
• PSOM UI applications:

PXConsoleSetup.msi (for a client that is running a 64-bit operating system)
–
PXConsoleSetup_x86.msl (for a client that is running a 64-bit operating system)
• Video adapter:
–
PxVideoAdaptorSetup-Cisco6.3
The PSOM client is required both on the PSOM server and on an external machine that you use to access
PSOM. The PSOM client is preinstalled on the PSOM server.
Before You Install the Client
Verify that the following software is installed and running on your machine before you install the
PSOM client:
• Operating system. The client operating system should be the same version as the version that is
required for the Cisco Video Surveillance client. Currently, the Cisco VSM client requires either
Windows 7 or Windows XP SP3.
• Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1
• Install axc_setup.exe. An easy way to install this file is to connect to a Cisco VSM server via a
browser and follow the prompts to download and install the VSM client.
To install the client, follow these steps:
Step 1 Install the PSOM UI (PXConsoleSetup.msi) by running this file and following the prompts.
Step 2 Install the appropriate PxVideoAdaptorSetup-Cisco6.3.msi) by running this file and following the
prompts.
