Mount the 89D bracket (B), then mount the patch panel (A) into

the bracket backwards (i.e. the modular jacks should be facing

the mounting surface). This will hold the assembly in place when

terminating the associated cables.

Terminate the individual conductors using a 100 punch-down

tool.

Use wire cutters to remove the excess wire.

110 Punch-down Tool

Begin routing the cables into the patch panel assembly. Cables must be

routed between the rows of IDC connecting blocks. This will ensure a

proper t when the assembly is returned to its proper position in the

89D bracket.
