5. INSTALLING THE LATCH (need phillips head screwdriver)

 a.Makesurethefaceplatesitsushwiththedoor.Donotforce

 theLatchintothemortiseush.Chiseloutexcessmaterialif

  necessaryforausht(Figure5a).

 b.Usingtwo3/4”(19mm).screwsprovided,screwtheLatchintothe

 doorwithahandheldscrewdriver.DONOTOVERTIGHTEN

 (Figure5b).

7. SECURING THE EXTERIOR ASSEMBLY TO THE DOOR

 a.Fromthesidemarked“Thissideagainstdoor”,

route the Control Wire through the rectangular

  slotintheMountingPlate(Figure7a).

 b.PlaceMountingPlateagainstdoorwithtailpiecepassing

  throughthecenterholeinthethreeholeset(Figure7b).

 c.SecuretheMountingPlatetotheExteriorAssemblyusing

  two7/8”(22mm)Screws(Figure7c).

 d.HandtightenwithaPhillipsScrewdriverleavingloosely

 connected(Figure7d).

 e.CheckthattheRubberGasketisproperlyalignedandcorrectasnecessary(Figure7e).

 f.Checkverticalalignmentofthelock(Figure7f).

 g.TightensecurelywithahandheldPhillipsScrewdriver.DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN

8. OPTIONAL INSTALLATION

 a.Usinga1/16”(2mm)drillbit,drillapilotholeinyourdoor

  usingtheMountingPlateupperholeasaguide(Figure8a).

b. Insert one 3/4”(19mm)screwandtighten.

6. INSTALLING THE EXTERIOR ASSEMBLY

Note: WorkwiththeDoorOpenforeasyaccess.Toaccessthemountingplate,unpack

theInteriorAssemblyandremovethebatterycoverbyslidingthecoverupward.Locate

thescrewsholdingtheMountingPlatetotheInteriorAssembly.Removethescrewsto

releasetheMountingPlatefromtheInteriorAssembly.

 a.UnpacktheExteriorAssembly.Usecaretonotscratchthegreencircuitboard

during handling and installation.

 b.CheckthattheRubberGasketisproperlyseatedontheExteriorAssembly 

 (Figure6a-b).

 c.InserttheExteriorAssemblyontothedoorwiththetailpiecegoingthroughthe

Latch spindle in the VERTICAL POSITION. Route the Control Wire through

  thedoorovertheLatch(Figure6c).

9. ATTACH THE CONTROL WIRE TO THE INTERIOR ASSEMBLY

 a.UsecaretoattachtheControlWiremaleplugtotheInteriorAssemblyfemale

  socketconnector(Figure9a).

 b.DonotforcetheControlWiremaleplugintotheInteriorAssemblyfemale

  socketconnector(Figure9b).

 c.TheControlWiremaleplughastwoalignmenttabsonthesmoothsideofthe

  plugwhichisthetopoftheplug(Figure9c).

 d.TheControlWiremaleplugisinsertedwiththesmoothsideupintotheInterior

 Assemblyfemalesocketconnector(Figure9d).

10. ATTACH THE INTERIOR ASSEMBLY TO DOOR

 a.PositiontheInteriorAssemblyoverthetailpieceandpushtheInteriorAssembly

 againstthedoor(Figure10a).

 b.Usingtwo5/16”(8mm)screws and one 1”(25mm)screw, attach

 theInteriorAssemblytotheMountingPlate.DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN SCREWS

(Figure10b).

11. REMOVING AND REVERSING LEVER HANDLES

 a.MakesuretheDoorLockisintheunlockedpositionandthenreleasecatchby

 insertingLockStickintotheslotontheundersideoflevers(Figure11a).

 b.Removebothleverhandlesfromthebasesbypullingawayfromdoorwhenthecatch

 isreleased(Figure11b).

 c.Switchtheleverhandlestotheoppositeside(Figure11c).

12. REPLACING LEVER HANDLES

 a.Makesurelockcylinderisinlinewithhandle(Figure12a).

b. Replace handles by sliding onto the bases until the catch pins are engaged.

 (Figure12b).

13. Installing Batteries

 a.Insert4AAhighqualityAlkalinebatteriesintotheBatteryCompartmentinthe

 directionnoted+/-ontheCompartment.TheLockwillbeep2times,thekeypad

 willilluminateblue,andtheHoneywellbuttonwillashgreentwicetosignifythat

 ithasreceivedpower(Figure13a).

 b.SlidetheBatteryCoverdownintothetrackontheInteriorAssemblytocover

thebatteries(Figure13b).

14. Testing Lock

 WiththeDoorOpen

 a.TesttheLockusingtheInteriorLever.TheLatchshouldmovesmoothly.

 b.TestthelockusingtheKeypad.Tolockpressandthenpress“1234”

to unlock.
