Compress the front part of the rear suspension
so that the limiter strap is no longer tight.
A tip: put a large piece of wood under the
front part of the rear suspension to raise it and
thereby loosen the tension of the limiter strap.
2
Loosen the two lower screws of the limiter
straps.
3
Raise the rear end of the snowmobile so that
the track is off the ground. Make sure the vehi-
cle is securely supported so that it will not tip.
4
Remove the original shock absorber by releas-
ing the upper and the lower attachments.
Remove the lower bracket bolt through the
hole of the support wheel.
5
Install the Öhlins shock absorber. The shock
absorber body should be in the bottom. Fas-
ten the lower attachment fi rst, then the upper.
NOTE!
The nitrogen valve should be facing towards
the front of the snowmobile.
6
Lower the rear end of the snowmobile.
7
Reinstall the limiter straps.
NOTE!
Make sure that all screws are tightened to
the correct torque and that nothing fouls or
restricts movement of the shock absorber
when the suspension is fully compressed or
extended.
MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS
3
NOTE!
The limiter strap protects the centre shock
absorber from being torn apart. Therefore, the
limiter strap must always be shorter than the
shock absorber in its fully extended position.
Read more about the limiter strap in your vehi-
cle service manual.
