Australian Warning Systems 4200 series LED lights are compact and versatile
high intensity directional LED warning lights suitable for mounting against front
or rear windscreens inside a vehicle. Colourless until illuminated, these discrete
LED lights offer self contained electronics and feature packed controls.
Additional benefits of Australian Warning Systems LED lights include low
current draw, a long and maintenance free service life with reliable solid-state
operation and extremely low electromagnetic emissions. The LED lights are
dual voltage (12-24 VDC), and simply plug into the vehicle’s existing cigarette
lighter or accessory socket. Alternatively, the plug can be removed and the unit
hardwired through a switch.

1. Proper installation combined with operator training in the use, care, and maintenance of emergency warning devices are
essential to ensure the safety of you and those you are seeking to protect.
2. Exercise caution when working with live electrical connections.
3. This product must be properly grounded. Inadequate grounding and/or shorting of electrical connections can cause high
current arcing, which can cause personal injury and/or severe vehicle damage, including fire.
4. Proper placement and installation are vital to the performance of this warning device. Install this product so that output
performance of the system is maximized and the controls are placed within convenient reach of the operator so that s/he
can operate the system without losing eye contact with the roadway.
5. Do not install this product or route any wires in the deployment area of an air bag. Equipment mounted or located in an air
bag deployment area may reduce the effectiveness of the air bag or become a projectile that could cause serious personal
injury or death. Refer to the vehicle owner’s manual for the air bag deployment area. It is the responsibility of the
user/operator to determine a suitable mounting location ensuring the safety of all passengers inside the vehicle.
6. It is the responsibility of the vehicle operator to ensure during use that all features of this product work correctly. In use, the
vehicle operator should ensure the projection of the warning signal is not blocked by vehicle components (i.e., open trunks
or compartment doors), people, vehicles or other obstructions.
7. The use of this or any other warning device does not ensure all drivers can or will observe or react to a warning signal.
Never take the right-of-way for granted. It is your responsibility to be sure you can proceed safely before entering an
intersection, driving against traffic, responding at a high rate of speed, or walking on or around traffic lanes.
8. This equipment is intended for use by authorized personnel only. The user is responsible for understanding and obeying all
laws regarding warning signal devices. Therefore, the user should check all applicable city, state, and federal laws and
regulations. The manufacturer assumes no liability for any loss resulting from the use of this warning device.

Universal Mounting Bracket:
Using the universal mounting bracket, the 450-4200 LED lights may be mounted to the window of the vehicle with suction cups
or permanently mounted to a solid surface of the vehicle.
Permanent Mounting:
1. The 4200 series universal mounting bracket should be mounted to a flat surface. The mounting location should allow the
maximum visibility of the warning device to other road users, whilst allowing for sufficient wire access.
2. Using the mounting bracket as a template, mark the drill hole locations on the mounting surface. Drill mounting holes using
a suitable drill bit.
3. Rotate the LED head so that the beam is parallel with the road and visibility to approaching traffic is optimised.
Light Shield Mounting:
Using the light shield, the 4200 LED lights may be mounted to the window of the vehicle with suction cups or semi-permanently
using optional mounting tape.
1. Insert suction cups or apply tape on the flanges of the shield
2. Install on Windshield – Note: If possible, mount with the bracket in contact with the dashboard while secured to the
windshield.
3. Rotate the LED head so that the beam is parallel with the road and visibility to approaching traffic is optimised.
Wiring Instructions:
Insert the cigarette plug into the vehicle cigarette lighter. Flash patterns may be changed using the button marked “PATTERN” at
the rear of the housing. Press this button momentarily, 0-1 second to change to the next pattern, 1-3 seconds to change to the
previous pattern, and 3-5 seconds for the all LED’s to be steady on.
SYN Socket: Allows synchronisation with other LED lights of this type
RESET Button: Press to reset the flash pattern to pattern 1
H/L PWR: High / Low light intensity. Press to toggle between high & low light output
PATTERN: Press to change flash between 30 available flash patterns
