7. Check for damaged parts. Before using trap, any part that appears
damaged should be carefully checked to determine that it will operate
properly. Any part that is damaged should be properly repaired or replaced.
8. Do not operate trap if under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Read
warning labels if taking prescription medicine to determine if your judgment or
reflexes are impaired while taking drugs. If there is any doubt, do not operate
the tool.
Product Specific Safety Precautions
1. After an animal is captured, use care not to allow it to bite you. Wear leather
gloves.
2. Dispose of the captured animal in a humane manor, or as dictated by local
ordinances.
3. Check trap periodically after it is set. It is possible to catch domesticated
animals that should be released.
4. Keep pets away to avoid inadvertent capture.

Unpacking
When unpacking, check to make sure that the Compact Folding Animal Trap is
complete. If any parts are missing or broken, please call Harbor Freight Tools at the
number on the cover of this manual.
Operation
1. Unfold the Animal Trap. Refer to the photos on the next page.
2. Fold down the U-Bracket to hold the Animal Trap square.
3. Place the Animal Trap on a flat surface where animals are to be captured.
4. Hold the Trap Door open and place cheese or other food items to attract
animals. Attach the food item to the Quick Release Hook inside the Trap.
5. On top of the Trap, carefully hook the Quick Release Hook to the Trap Door
Handle. Make sure it is securely set. Otherwise, the Trap Door will close
prematurely.
6. When the animal grabs the food, and wiggles the Quick Release Hook, the
Trap Door snaps shut, capturing the animal inside.
