Black Talon Seats Black Talon Universal Folding Bucket Seat, 355102BK, 355300BK Owner's manual

  • Hello! I've reviewed the Assembly and Operation Instructions for the 355 Series Seat. This document outlines how to mount the seat, adjust its armrests, and position it front-to-back. It also details the usage of the set screw on the armrests. I'm ready to assist with any questions you have about operating this seat.
  • How do I mount the seat?
How do I rotate the arm rest to the normal position?
How do I adjust seat position front-to-back?
How to adjust the arm rest set screw?

Assembly and Operation Instructions
355 Series Seat
1. Seat Mounting
a. There are multiple holes and slots in the bottom side of the slide rails that can be
used for mounting the seat to the equipment see Figure 1
2. Seat Operation
a. The seat typically comes with the steel arm rest mounting brackets folded down
see Figure 2.
b. For normal operation, the arm rests mounting bracket are to be rotated to the
vertical position see Figure 3.
i. To rotate the arm rest mounting brackets to the normal operating position:
1. Rotate the front of the bracket up until it is in a vertical position.
2. Once in the vertical position, slide the arm rest mounting bracket
down (it will slide down about 1”). The cutouts in the arm rest
bracket will keep the bracket from rotating forward while in the
normal operating position.
3. The arm rest itself will now pivot between vertical and horizontal
(forward).
c. In the back side of each arm rest there is a slot with a set screw inside of it see
Figure 4. This set screw is what stops the arm rest from pivoting down beyond
the horizontal position (the normal operating position) and from pivoting up
beyond the vertical position. The set screw should be extending out of the steel
rod it is screwed into (extending towards the back of the arm rest) by about 1/2
5/8” (this is the normal operating position). If this set screw is screwed all the
way into the steel rod, the arm rest will not stop in the horizontal position, but will
continue to pivot downward.
d. To adjust the seat position front-to-back, move the lever, that is under the right
front corner of the seat, outwards. This will release the position catch and the
seat can be slid forwards and backwards. Releasing the lever will allow the lever
to catch a latching position to stop the seat from sliding forwards or backwards.
There is approximately 6” of slide travel available.
