conditions:(1)This device may not cause harmful
interference. This device must accept any interference
received, including interference that may cause
undesired operation.

1. Read these instructions. All safety
and operating instructions should be
read before the product is operated.
2. Keep these instructions. The safety
and operating instructions should be
retained for future reference.
3. Heed all warnings. All warnings
on the product and in the operating
instructions should be adhered to.
4. Follow all instructions. All
operating and use instructions should
be followed.
5. Water and Moisture. Do not use
this product near water. For example,
near a bath tub, wash bowl, kitchen
sink, or laundry tub; in a wet
basement, or near a swimming pool
or similar conditions. The apparatus
shall not be exposed to dripping or
splashing and that no objects filled
with liquids, such as vases, shall be
placed on or near this product.
6. Cleaning. Clean only with a dry
cloth. Unplug this product from the
wall outlet before cleaning. Do not
use liquid cleaners or aerosol
cleaners.
7. Ventilation. Slots and openings in
the cabinet are provided for
ventilation and to ensure reliable
operation of the product and to
protect it from overheating. These
openings must not be blocked or
covered. The openings should never
be blocked by placing the product on
a bed, sofa, rug, or other similar
surface. This product should not be
placed in a built-in installation such
as a bookcase or rack unless proper
ventilation is provided
8. Heat. Do not install near any heat
sources such as radiators, heat
registers, stoves, or other devices that
produce heat, including amplifiers.
9. Grounding or Polarization. (If
applicable) Do not disable or
circumvent the polarized or
grounding type plug. A polarized
plug has two blades with one wider
than the other. A grounding type plug
has two blades and a third grounding
prong. The wide blade or the third
prong is provided for your safety. If
the provided plug does not fit into
your outlet, consult an electrician for
replacement of this outlet.
10. Power Cord Protection. Protect
the power cord from being walked
on, pinched, cut or damaged in any
way. If any damage occurs, consult
with a trained technician for repairs.
11. Accessories. Only use accessories
specified and approved by the
manufacture. Do not place this
product on an unstable cart, stand,
tripod, bracket, or table not
previously approved by the
manufacturer. The product may fall
causing serious injury to a child,
adult or to the product itself. Any
mounting of the product should be
done within the manufacturer’s
guidelines.
12. Transporting. If a preapproved
device is used to transport this
product, caution and care must be
observed and practiced to avoid
damages. Make sure the device and
product together are stable before
moving.
13. Lightning. Unplug this product
and disconnect the antenna or cable
system during lightning storms or
when unused for long periods of
time. This will help prevent damage
to the product due to lightning and
power line surges.
14. Servicing. Do not attempt to
service this product yourself.
Opening or removing covers may
expose you to dangerous voltage or
other hazards. Refer all servicing to a
qualified service technician.
15. Power Sources. Only connect to
the type of household power supply
as indicated in the operating
instructions and rating label. If you
are not sure of the type of power
supplied to your home, consult with
local power company. For products
intended to operate from battery
power, or other sources, refer to the
manufacturer’s operating
instructions.
16. Overloading. Do not overload
wall outlets or extension cords. This
can result in a risk of fire or electric
shock.
17. Foreign Material. Protect this
product from intrusion of any foreign
substances like dirt, water, moisture
and insects. Do not force any foreign
materials or chemicals into this
product. This could result in a risk of
fire or electric shock.
18. Replacement Parts and Safety
Check. When replacement parts are
required, be sure the service
technician has used replacement parts
specified and approved by the
manufacturer. Ask the service
technician to perform safety checks
to ensure proper operation to avoid
possible fire, electric shock, or other
hazards.
19. Outdoor Antenna Grounding. If
an outside antenna or cable system is
connected to the product, be sure the
antenna or cable system is grounded
so as to provide some protection
against voltage surges and built-up
static charges. If there’s any doubt to
the proper grounding of these
systems, contact a qualified
electrician to inspect your location.
20. Wall or Ceiling Mounting. The
product should be mounted to a wall
or ceiling only as recommended by
the manufacturer.
21. Disconnect Device. Make sure all
disconnect devices are in proper
working condition and readily
available in the event of an
emergency or if power off is needed
quickly.
22. Protective Attachment Plug. (If
applicable) This product may be
equipped with an attachment plug
having overload protection. This is a
safety feature. See Instruction
Manual for replacement or resetting
of this protective device. If
replacement of the plug is required,
be sure the qualified service
technician has used a replacement
plug specified by the manufacturer
that has the same overload protection
as the original plug.
23. Power Lines. An outside antenna
system should not be located in the
vicinity of overhead power lines or
other electric light or power circuits,
or where it can fall into such power
lines or circuits. When installing an
outside antenna system, extreme care
should be taken to keep from
touching such power lines or circuits
as contact with them may be fatal.
Always consult with your local
power company before installing an
outside antenna.

Caution
• Please use the original box and packing materials for safe
transportation of this product.
• It is normal for the cover and rear panel to become warm after the
player has been operating for an extended period of time.
• Do not move this product during playing. Doing so may cause damage
to the pickup and the disc.
• Press OPEN CD DOOR button or REMOTE CONTROL to open and
close tray. Do not push or pull tray. Do not touch tray when opening or
closing.

Notes:
There are three ways of connecting the players AV output to the TV set:
1. S-video cable and left/right audio cable [set the (Video Type) to (S-Video)].
2. Composite video cable and left/right audio cable.
3. Component video cable and left/right audio cable [set the (Video Type) to
(Y, Pb, Pr)].

During playback, press A-B button to select point A. Press it again to select point
B. The player will repeat the section from A to B automatically. Press A-B a third
time to cancel A-B repeat and clear point A and B.
During DVD or CD playback, press and hold
to scan forward. The player will
review the disc at 2,4,8 and 20 times normal speed as follows:
Note: During CD playback, points A and B must be within the same track. During
DVD playback, points A and B can be selected from different chapters. This
function is subject to the disc.
Press PLAY to resume normal playback.
During DVD or CD playback, press and hold
to scan reverse. The player will
review the disc at 2,4,8 and 20 times normal speed as follows:
Press PLAY to resume normal playback.
Press PREV to skip to previous chaper or track.
Press NEXT to skip to next chaper or track.
Press STOP once during playback to stop and hold playback.
Press PLAY to resume playback from the point you pressed STOP.
Press STOP twice to stop playback completely.

These keys are used to input the time, as well as title, chapter and track
numbers. When a numeric item is displayed on the screen, press the 0-10+ keys
to select the desired entry, and press ENTER to confirm.

Press PLAY/PAUSE during playback to pause playback.
Press PLAY/PAUSE to resume normal playback.
Press MUTE to mute the Audio output.
Press MUTE again to resume normal Audio output.
Press REPEAT to select Repeat Title, Repeat chapter, Repeat off
during DVD playback.
Press REPEAT to select Repeat Single, Repeat all and Repeat off
(CD or Other).
During DVD, playback, press MENU to return to the program menu.
Note: This function is subject to the disc.
During DVD, playback, press TITLE to display the DVD title menu or
play the first title.

REPEAT
Input the track numbers in the order you
would like them to play. When you have
finished, press PLAY then press ENTER to
play the tracks in the new programmed
order. Select CLEAR then press ENTER to
clear all numbers.
Input the title and chapter numbers in the
desired order. Then press PLAY then
press ENTER to play the chapters in the
order you have set. Select CLEAR then
press ENTER to clear all the numbers.
During DVD playback
Press AUDIO repeatedly to select from up to 8 Audio language/formats.
Note: This function is for disc.
While [PROGRAM] is on, press ENTER to display the [Program submenu]:

1. General Steps of setup menu
A) Press the setup buttom, the main setup menu appears.
B) Press the Left and Right arrow buttons to highlight the icon of the
desired page, then press the Down or Right arrow button to activate
that page. For example, if you want to setup the video page, press
Right to highlight the video icon, the video page will be displayed on the
screen.

2.1.2 SCREEN SAVER
The SCREEN SAVER is automatic. A few minutes after the player is
stopped, a screen saver with a DVD logo in motion will appear.
2.1.4 TV TYPE
According to the TV type, you can choose 16:9, 4:3PS or 4:3LB.
16:9: The picture fills the screen of a wide screen TV.
4:3 PS: Pan and Scan, the image is cut in order to fit the whole screen.
4:3 LB: Letter box, two black bands will appear on the upper and lower
part of the screen.

2.1.5 PASSWORD
By default, the password function is disabled. To enable, select password,
press enter and key-in the default password: 0000. To change password,
you must key-in the old password, then enter a 4 digit password of your
choice. If password is lost or forgotten, reset player to default to erase old
password and gain access to functions. To set rating levels, the password
function must be enabled.
2.1.6 RATING
The Rating feature allows you to block out or limit access to objectionable
DVD content on DVD's that have that feature burned into their media. The
Rating feature has no effect on DVD's that do not participate in this feature.

2.1.7 DEFAULT
The DEFAULT setup options are RESTORE factory setup.
If your unit is not working properly or as expected, reset player to its
default condition. This will put all settings back to factory settings and
erase password as well.
2.2 LANGUAGE SETUP
The language setup options are illustrated as below:
2.2.1 OSD LANGUAGE
To select the language of your choice, navigate to OSD (ON SCREEN
DISPLAY) Language and press the arrows to get to the languages.

2.2.2 SUBTITLE LANG
Highlight the SUBTITLE LANG option, and press the Arrow buttons to
choose the subtitle language you prefer, Press Enter to confirm. If the
disc you are playing has that language, it will display subtitles in that
language.
2.2.3 MENU LANG
Highlight the MENU LANG option, and press the Arrow buttons to choose
the menu language you prefer. Prefer Enter to confirm. If the disc you are
playing has that Language, it will display the menu in the language.
Notes:
If your preferred language is not available, the disc’s default language will
be played.
