Notice for use
General:
1. Never open or disassemble the housing of recorder to avoid damage and failure to operate.
2. Humidity, excessive heat and dropping may also damage the recorder. This device is
precision instrument and must be treated with utmost care as with all electronic devices.
Memory and storage:
1. Recorder has limited built-in memory and can store only short video or few still images-
without SD card inserted. Please procure and use SD/ SDHC memory card to greatly extend
recording and storage capability.
2. When SD/SDHC memory card is inserted, camera will store all images and video on the
memory card and internal memory will be disabled.
3. Memory card is not supplied with the camera and should be purchased separately. SD/
SDHC Card up to maximum 16GB capacity may be used.
4. The SD card has a write-protect LOCK switch; when the card is LOCK-ed data can not be
erased. Please also note you can not store any further records on LOCK-ed card. Set the SD
card to un-LOCK position to store any new video or images..
5. The SD memory card may be used as temporary storage; you may then download these
records or data to computer for playing back, editing or permanent storage..
Protect your camera
1. Use the wrist strap to carry recorder safely and prevent it from falling accidentally.
2. Avoid touching or scratching the lens.
3. If necessary blow away any dust or debris from lens surface, then use soft cloth or tissue for
optical devices to clean the lens. Do not use organic solvent to clean lens or the device.

5. Remove the battery and store recorder in dry place if you plan not using it for extended time.
6. Product is designed to operate in normal environment with temperatures between 32F
104F (0 to 40C) Avoid leaving the recorder exposed to extreme temperatures, such as in the
car parked under strong sunshine or outside during sub-zero weather. If device has been
outside during inclement conditions wait a few minutes to allow water condensation to
disappear after entering indoor conditions before using again.

TV programs, movies, music, images and other resources may be protected by copyright;
therefore, recording or copying these resources may violate copyright laws and related
regulations. It is your responsibility to use this recorder according to all legal and copyright
regulations.
System requirements
Recorder may be connected to computer for downloading / storing / and playing images.
Computer should meet or exceed the minimum requirements below:

CPU Pentium III equivalent or higher performance
Memory 1 GB RAM or higher
Display 16-bit display resolution
CD-ROM 4× speed or above
Hard Disk 1 GB hard disk space available

2. Basic operation
2.1 Installing the battery
Press / slide down the Battery Cover and insert supplied Li-On battery. Note battery
contacts and correct polarity of terminals. Close the Battery Cover.
Charging the Battery
1. Power off the recorder.
2. Connect the recorder to the computer USB port with USB cable to charge the battery.
3. During charging, Busy light will illuminate and it will turn off when battery is fully charged.
2.2 Using SD/SDHC memory card
Recorder must be turned OFF before inserting or removing the memory card.
Insert the SD/ SDHC Memory card into the Card Slot. Do not force to avoid damaging the
card or the recorder. Please check alignment and repeat inserting if necessary.
To remove / replace the SD/SDHC memory card press the card again; the card will pop up and

you may remove the card from the camera.
Note that the SD Card has a tiny LOCK switch on the side. Set the switch to un-LOCK
position in order to save recorded videos & still pictures on inserted SD Card.
2.3. Turn the recorder ON/ OFF
- Press the Power Key to power ON (activate) the camera.
- Press the Power Key again to turn the camera OFF.
- When the recorder is not used but has been turned ON, the Auto OFF feature will turn it OFF to
conserve batteries. Auto OFF time delay of 1, 3 or 5 minutes may be selected.
- When battery level is very low the recorder will turn OFF after several seconds. Please
recharge the recorder promptly.
2.3 Selecting the recording MODE
Pressing the MODE key will switch / select between following modes:
Video Recording
Camera (taking Still photo)
2.4 Video recording
Before recording video you may press Left or Right key to change or select desired

Video Resolution from available options: QVGA (320x240); D1(720x480);
HD(1280X720). Note that D1 resolution (720x480)) is the default mode setting.
- Press the MODE Key and select Video Recording mode.
- Press the Shutter key to START recording a video clip; press the Shutter key again to
STOP recording.
While recording you may press UP or DOWN key to zoom IN or zoom OUT of the recorded
scene.
2.5 Camera (Still Photo Taking)
- Select the Camera mode and press Shutter Key to snap one photo.
In the Camera mode you may press Left or Right key to select desired the photo size
resolution: 1.3 Mega pixels (1280x1024); 3.1 Mega pixels (2048x1536); 5Mega pixels
(2592x1944). Note that 1.3 Mega pixels (1280x1024) is the default mode setting.
Press UP or DOWN key to zoom IN or zoom OUT of the image.

2.6 Playback
- Press the Playback Key to enter playback mode and LCD display will show last recorded
image or file. Press key or key to select another recording or still picture.
- After you select one video file, Press OK key to START playing video, press OK key again
to STOP the video.
While in Playback mode, you may press UP or DOWN key to zoom IN or zoom OUT of the
displayed image. While at zoom IN mode, you may press OK key to enter the PAN mode.
In PAN mode you may use four-way direction key to move the photo around viewing
selected details on LCD screen.
2.7 TV output
Your camera is equipped with TV output port; you can review
and playback your records on standard and/ or High Definition
TV big screen!
Note:
l If the memory is full or the SD card is LOCK-ed, the recorder will not take any further
recording. Turn the camera OFF and un-LOCK or replace the card to continue
recording.

- Use supplied AV cable and connect device to TV set. (make sure recorder is turned OFF)
- Insert the yellow jack into the VIDEO IN of your TV and insert red or white jack into the
AUDIO IN port of your TV.
- Insert the single jack (of the AV cable) into the video recorder TV OUT port and then
activate the recorder.
- Turn ON the TV set and select VIDEO IN mode.
TV screen will display scene, or stored images/ photos when the Playback mode is
selected.
2.8 Deleting records
You may delete / erase stored records, video and photos.
- Select the PLAYBACK mode, then recorder screen will display stored image or file.
- Press the Delete key to enter Delete Menu options; use Left or Right keys to select
available delete All, No or Yes options.
- Select Yes then press OK key to delete current image; select All then press OK key to
delete all images; select No or press Delete key to exit deletion mode.

2.9 Connecting camera with PC
1. Slide the USB Switch DOWN to extend the USB connector and turn the recorder ON. Use a
fingernail if necessary to release and move the adjacent USB protective cover.
2. Insert the recorder USB connector into computer USB port or use supplied USB extension
cable and to connect to computer USB port.

2.10 Downloading files to PC
1. When recorder is connected to the computer, select "My Computer and open the "Removable
Disk." Select and open the Removable Disc;
2. The video and images are stored inside the \DCIM\ 100MEDIA folder. Open this folder.
3. Choose the desired video or photo file and copy (or drag) file into selected location / target
folder in your computer.
Installing ArcSoft MediaImpression software.
The installation (supplied) CD contains video / photo editing ArcSoft program.
With installed MediaImpression program, you may playback or edit records and you will have
easy access to YouTube you can download and share your video with all viewers!
Installing the program.
- Insert supplied CD into the CD-ROM of the computer, then the following menu will run
automatically.:

l If the CD driver does not start automatically (depends on your computer configuration) go to My
Computer, then select the CD Drive and click / open autorun.exe program.
Instalingl MediaImpression:
Click Install MediaImpression button and complete the installation as per indicated steps

Restart the computer when prompted.
Run and using the MediaImpression :
Double click the icon on the desktop or follow Start Programs to open:
MediaImpression

After starting MediaImpression, click the Import to import the media.
Choose the video camera storage and choose the output location.

Choose require file and click the import, selected file will be stored in the output location.
Click Go to start page to return the main screen, click the Video or All media to use the
YouTube function.

Choose file and click the upload to YouTube.
Enter your username and password to login the YouTube and execute upload.
