Plextor® SSD – Limited Warranty
These SSD Limited Warranty Terms include all Plextor SSD products from M3 series and onward.
We recommend that you read thoroughly this Declaration of Limited Warranty and Liability Exclusion
before you begin using a Plextor SSD product. By beginning to use a Plextor SSD, it indicates your
acceptance of the terms and conditions that had been set out in the Declaration of Limited Warranty.
Limited Warranty
Plextor warrants to purchasers of sealed package products (original purchasers) and purchasers of
computer systems that include the products which have been properly used and installed; these products
components and assembly style are completely conformed to the product specications announced and
guaranteed by Plextor for ve (5) years from the date of the original purchaser’s purchase of the sealed
package product. In the event that the limited warranty product fails to conform to the state announced
and guaranteed by Plextor during the ve (5) year warranty period, Plextor will provide the original
purchaser with the following warranty services at its own discretion:
Maintenance: repair the hardware and/or software of the product.
Replacement: in the event that Plextor is unable to repair the product, we will choose to replace the
product for the original purchaser.
This Limited Warranty belongs to the original purchaser, and is valid only during the product warranty
period. When the original purchaser sells or transfers this product or computer systems that includes this
product, the original purchaser may not transfer the Warranty and will declare a termination of the Limited
Warranty.
Obtaining Warranty Services
A product must be within its warranty period in order to apply for warranty services. Please contact the
dealer where you originally purchased the product or Plextor Customer Service Center during business
hours (except on public holidays), and return the product to the designated warranty servicing location as
instructed. When you apply for warranty services, you must have the following information available: (1)
your name, address, contact telephone numbers, and e-mail address; (2) proof of purchase of the product;
if you have lost the proof of purchase, the warranty period will be determined on the basis of the
manufacture date of the product; (3) product model and serial numbers; (4) description and explanation of
the malfunction or problem.
The user must place the product in its original product packaging or other appropriate product packaging,
and send the product back to the designated servicing location. If the users contact Plextor Customer
Service Center, please also provide the maintenance number provided by the Customer Service Center.
Plextor Customer Service Center does not accept any servicing applications without a maintenance
number, so you must rst contact the Customer Service Center to conrm that you meet the warranty
qualications and obtain a valid maintenance number. The user must bear the transportation cost to the
maintenance center, and including all risks of damage or loss of the product during the transportation.
Plextor will use its own discretion in providing the original purchaser with either maintenance or
replacement service. The original warranty period applies to the product replacement or maintenance, and
it will not be extended.
Warranty Exclusion Provisions
Plextor does not warrant that the product operation is absolutely free from errors. Plextor will not be
responsible for any damage caused by a customer’s failure to comply with the product usage instructions.
This Limited Warranty does not extend to products where the user has made his/her own alterations or
where the serial numbers have been removed. It also does not apply to damage caused in the following
circumstances: (1) malfunction caused by accident, wrongful usage and improper operation; (2) failing to
use the product in accordance with its manuals and instructions; (3) the product is used at an incorrect
location, and the connecting computer system is not properly maintained; (4) virus infection; (5)
malfunction caused by maintenance or repairs not authorized by Plextor; (6) warranty sticker lost or
broken.
Plextor is not responsible for backing up or preserving any programs, data, or information that the user has
stored in a SSD submitted for maintenance and servicing. Plextor cannot restore any designated
information or contents for the user.
Legal Provisions
Plextor does not make any other written or oral warranties, and refuses to acknowledge any warranties or
conditions outside the scope of this Limited Warranty.
This Limited Warranty applies only to SSD products sold by Plextor, its related enterprises, and authorized
dealers. There may be a change to the warranty terms and conditions, and the maintenance response time;
depending on the country or region where the consumer uses the product.
Install the Bridge Board
1. Install the Bridge board onto the slot
and push the board down until it snaps
into place. (see Figure 2)
2. Ax the screw to secure the Bridge
board to the back of the computer
case. (see Figure 3)

AUSTRALIA Warranty Information
Nothing in this warranty modies or excludes your legal rights under the Australian Competition and
Consumer Act. This warranty identies PLEXTOR's preferred approach to resolving warranty claims which is
likely to be quick and simple for all parties.
In Australia, our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You
are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably
foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if goods fail to be of
acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. What constitutes a major failure is set out
in the Australian Consumer Law.
Warranty
PLEXTOR warrants that the Product, in the course of its normal use, will for the term dened below, be free from
defects in material and workmanship and will conform to PLEXTOR’s specications. Please refer to the warranty
table below for the specic term of your warranty in Australia. The term of your warranty period shall
commence on the purchase date appearing on your purchase receipt from an authorized distributor or
authorized reseller. Proof of purchase shall be required to be eligible for this warranty and to establish the
commencement date of this warranty.
Warranty service will not be provided unless the Product is returned to an authorized distributor, authorized
reseller where the Product was rst shipped by PLEXTOR, PLEXTOR may at its discretion make extended
warranties available for purchase. PLEXTOR shall have no liability for any Product returned if PLEXTOR
determines that the Product was (i) not purchased from an authorized distributor or authorized reseller, (ii) not
used in accordance with PLEXTOR specications and instructions, (iii) not used for its intended function, or (iv)
stolen from PLEXTOR, or that the asserted defect a) is not present, b) cannot reasonably be rectied because of
damage occurring before PLEXTOR receives the Product, or c) is attributable to misuse, improper installation,
alteration (including removing or obliterating labels and opening or removing external enclosures, including
the mounting frame, unless the product is on the list
of limited user-serviceable products and the specic alteration is within the scope of the applicable
instructions, as found at http://www.goplextor.com/asia/index.php/support), accident or mishandling while in
the possession of someone other than PLEXTOR.
PRODUCTS ARE COMPLEX AND FRAGILE ITEMS THAT MAY OCCASIONALY FAIL DUE TO (A) EXTERNAL CAUSES,
INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, MISHANDLING, EXPOSURE TO HEAT, COLD, AND HUMIDITY, AND POWER
FAILURES, OR (B) INTERNAL FAULTS . SUCH FAILURES CAN RESULT IN THE LOSS, CORRUPTION, DELETION OR
ALTERATION OF DATA. NOTE THAT YOU SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE LOSS, CORRUPTION, DELETION OR
ALTERATION OF DATA HOWSOEVER CAUSED, AND FOR BACKING UP AND PROTECTING DATA AGAINST LOSS,
CORRUPTION, DELETION OR ALTERATION. YOU AGREE TO CONTINUALLY BACK UP ALL DATA ON THE PRODUCT,
AND TO COMPLETE A BACKUP PRIOR TO SEEKING ANY GENERAL SERVICE AND TECHNICAL SUPPORT FROM
PLEXTOR.
In Australia, if the Product is not of a kind ordinarily acquired for personal, domestic or household use or
consumption, provided it is fair and reasonable to do so, PLEXTOR limits its liability and your exclusive remedy
for any breach of warranty shall be, at PLEXTOR’s option, (1) to repair the Product; or (2) to replace the Product
or supply of equivalent or better Product, or (3) to refund the price paid. Shipping and handling charges may
apply except where prohibited by applicable law. PLEXTOR may, at its option, use new or refurbished or used
parts in good working condition to repair or replace any Product returned.
This warranty shall extend to repaired or replaced Products for the balance of the applicable period of the
original warranty or ninety (90) days from the date of shipment of a repaired or replaced Product, whichever is
longer or for any additional period of time that may be applicable in your jurisdiction.
Obtaining Service
PLEXTOR values your business and always attempts to provide you the very best of service. Should you
encounter any problem, please give us an opportunity to address it before returning this Product. Most
technical support questions can be answered through our knowledge base or e-mail support service at
http://www.goplextor.com/asia/index.php/support.
If you wish to make a claim, you should initially contact the dealer from whom you originally purchased the
Product. If you are unable to contact the dealer from whom you originally purchased the Product, please visit
our product support Web site at http://www.goplextor.com/asia/index.php/support for information on how to
obtain service or a Return Material Authorization (RMA) If it is determined that the Product may be defective,
you will be given an RMA number and instructions for Product return. An unauthorized return (i.e., one for
which an RMA number has not been issued) will be returned to you at your expense. Authorized returns must
be shipped in an approved shipping container, prepaid and insured, to the address provided with your RMA
number. If following receipt of a qualifying claim under this warranty, PLEXTOR or the dealer from whom you
originally purchased the Product determines that your claim is valid, PLEXTOR or such dealer shall, at its
discretion, either repair or replace the Product with an equivalent or better Product or refund the cost of the
Product to you.
You are responsible for any expenses associated with a claim under this warranty. The benets provided to you
under this warranty are in addition to other rights and remedies available to you under the Australian
Competition and Consumer Act.
Your original box and packaging materials should be kept for storing or shipping your PLEXTOR product. To
conclusively establish the period of warranty, check the warranty expiration (serial number required) via
