1. Introduction of AR-ES0631ET
Welcome to the AR-ES0631ET wide-range temperature product, in which a
Single Board Computer with low power AMD Geode LX800 processor designed-in.
The system is designed for extreme environment with of operating range from
-40 to +75. For this product feature, AR-ES0631ET can make a lot of outdoor
applications available, such as Traffic Control, Vehicle Computer, Remote
Workstation, Outdoor Data Acquisition, Aviation or Military industries.
ACROSSER’s Extended temperature products are almost choosing the wide
operating temperature components (compliance with Industrial standard in
operating temperature) onboard. This platform has fully loaded and pass robust
thermal cycling tested. It is a reliable, long life time and cost effective extended
temperature solution for diverse applications.
In addition, the AR-ES0631ET provides on chip VGA. The VGA, which provides
up to 1920x1440x32bpp at 85Hz and 1600x1200x32bpp at 100HZ resolutions.
The VGA memory is shared with the main memory (2M, 4M, or 8M).
AR-ES0631ET also has 18-bit LVDS function in the system, which the resolution
up to 1600x1200x32bpp at 60Hz.
The AR-ES01631ET is loaded with special on-board features that rival full-size
systems. It has one network controller on board, uses Realtek RTL8100BL LAN
controller, a fully integrated 10/100BASE-TX solution with high performance
networking functions. Supports Compact Flash™ Type II interface. Plus optional
support for AC97 sound with CD-input. The AR-ES0631ET also includes one
200-pin SO-DIMM DDR sockets for up to 1GB total on-board memory. The
AR-ES0631ET has four on-board serial ports; COM1 with RS232C, COM2,
COM3 and COM4 with RS232C, 4 USB ports, and tough industrial grade
construction. All these features make the AR-ES0631ET a very "system integrator
friendly" solution, perfect for handling applications in the harshest unmanned
environments.

2. Procedure of Assembly/Disassembly
2-1 Installing the 2.5”Hard Disk Drive (HDD)
The following are step-by-step installation
1. Remove the power cord out from the AR-ES0631ET.
Remove the power cord
2. Remove the back cover of AR-ES0631ET by unlocking the two screws.
Unlock the screws

3. Tack off the HDD bracket from case.
Unscrew the screws
4. Insert the anti-vibration rubbers into the four edge of HDD bracket bay.
5. Connect the IDE cable to the 44-pin header of HDD.
6. Put the HDD on the HDD bracket and screws them together via four
screws.

7. Place the HDD module into the space as shown below and assembled
them together with the case via the fire screws.

8. Unlock or lock the 12 screws on the top case of AR-ES0631ET
Unfasten the screws
9. Install the IDE cable out front the CPU board.
10. Assemble the top cover and the HDD bracket back to case.

2-2 Installing a Compact Flash Card
1. Remove the power Cord out from the AR-ES0631ET.
2. Unlock the two screws from the CF door located on the front panel of
AR-ES0631ET.
3. Remove the CF holder.
4. Place a Compact Flash card with OS or application program inside into
the CF holder.

3. Back the CF module to the CF door and lock the CF door with 2 screws to
the front panel.

3. Appendix
Please don’t change SO-DIMM or thermal module by yourself. Any disassembly and
assembly behavior for the SO-DIMM or thermal module will cause unexpected damage.
Please do contact with Acrosser customer service center/FAE of changing
SO-DIMM or thermal module.
Please DON’T disassemble and assemble the SO-DIMM by yourself !
