INSTALL THERMOSTAT STOP
Kit # 23227 adds a limit stop to thermostats in Gas Griddles
WG-2424G and WG-2436G. The stop will limit thermostat setting to
approximately 425ºF.
PREPARATION: Extinguish all flame and shut off gas valve to unit.
Allow unit to cool before proceeding.
TOOLS: 1/8” drill bit ( and drill motor)
#2 Phillips Screwdriver
IMPORTANT: Work to be performed by qualified technician only.
1. Remove control knobs.
Remove thermostat mounting screws and and gently lower
thermostats from unit.
DO NOT remove thermobulbs. Support thermostats to prevent
damage to capillary tubes.
Store knobs and screws in a safe place.
2. Attach drill guide to thermostat with existing mounting screws.
Drill 1/8” hole in left mounting web.
IMPORTANT: Drill only deep enough to penetrate the web.
Be careful not to drill into the body of the thermostat.
3. Remove drill guide. Store drill guide and screws in a safe place.
4. Install new stop. Attach stop to newly drilled hole as shown at right
with provided #6 self-tapping screw.
5. Reinstall thermostat.
6. Repeat for each thermostat in unit.
Reassemble unit. Turn on gas valve, light pilot(s) and test unit for
proper operation.
CAUTION:
FIRE AND
BURN HAZARDS
Extinguish all flame and shut off
gas valve to unit. Allow unit to
cool before proceeding.
