INSTALL UPGRADE (See Fig. 3)
1. Set new HEAT TRANSFER PLATE in position on pan studs:
a. Cutout on side of plate must clear HI-LIMIT SAFETY.
b. Long end of HEAT TRANSFER PLATE goes toward
the back (power cord end) of the warmer.
2. Install new THERMOSTAT:
a. Terminals go toward bottom of warmer (in the inverted
position, terminals will be up).
b. Remove ring terminals from existing thermostat wiring
and add 1/4" female spade terminals.
c. Reconnect wiring to THERMOSTAT.
3. Install new CONTROL KNOB.
4. Install new THERMOBULB CLAMP:
a. Set ELEMENTS in place, then set ELEMENT CLAMPS
in position on pan studs.
b. THERMOBULB CLAMP mounts to the forward center
stud.
c. Slide THERMOBULB under THERMOBULB CLAMP.
5. Reinstall and tighten all CLAMP NUTS.
6. Reinstall INSULATION and BOTTOM PANEL.
FINISH AND TEST
1. Turn warmer upright. Be sure drain valve is closed, then
fill warmer with 12 quarts (11 liters) of warm water. Install
insert pan.
2. Plug warmer into an appropriate receptacle. Press power
switch to ON. Test for proper operation.
