Proline EC100 is a versatile appliance that provides cooling, humidifying, and air purification functions. INSTRUCTIONS

ELECTRICAL CONNECTION (UK ONLY)

For your safety please read the following information

The appliance must be connected to a 230 volts 50 cycle AC

supply by means of a three pin socket and should be

protected by a 13 amp fuse in the plug.

The appliance is supplied with a 13 amp 3-pin plug fitted with

a 13-amp fuse. Should the fuse require replacement, it must

be replaced with a fuse rated at 13 amp and approved to

BS1362.

If the mains plug is unsuitable for the socket outlet in your

home or is removed for any other reason, then the cut off plug

should be disposed of safely to prevent the hazard of electric

shock. Remove the fuse from the old plug before disposal.

There is a danger of electric shock if the cut off plug is

inserted into any 13-amp socket outlet.

How to wire a 13 amp plug.

Important

The wires in the mains lead on this appliance are coloured in

accordance with the following code:

Blue – Neutral

Brown – Live

As the colours may not correspond with the markings

identifying

the terminals in your plug proceed as follows.

The blue wire must be connected to the terminal marked N.

The brown wire must be connected to the terminal marked L.

No wire must be connected to the terminal in the plug which is

marked with the letter E or with the earth symbol or

coloured green and yellow.

Make sure the mains cord is secured firmly under the cord

clamp.

“ ”Key:

The key is used for starting the unit and changing the fan speed.

Fan speed is initially medium speed and changes to low speed after 3

seconds, then you can press the key to set the fan speed you

require. Fan speed can be set to “ ”, “ ” or

“ ” the appropriate indicators for the selected fan speed will

illuminate.

Key: ( see INSTALLATION AND OPERATION )

Press this key when adding water or ice, the outlet temperature

DROPS after 20 seconds or so and the appropriate indicator will

light. There must be water in the tank for this function to work,

otherwise an alarm will sound and this function will not work. (See

the section on Cooling).

Key:

Press this key, air will be directed from side to side, the oscillation

indicator will light.

Press this key again to turn off this function.

‡:

Set the timer to off, 1hour, 2 hours, 4 hours or 8 hours by repeatedly

pressing this key.

ION Key:

Press this key, the built-in anion generator will start to release anion,

the Ion indicator will illuminate. Press this key again to turn off this

function. (See ABOUT ION)

Key:

When the unit is being operated, this button may be used to select the

type of Air cycle from a choice of “Normal Wind”, “Natural Wind”,

and “Sleeping Wind”.

Normal Wind: (when both natural and sleeping

indicators are off)

Constant rotation with different wind speed of “ ”, “ ” and

“ ” can be set.

With the ON / SPEED key.

The fan operates in a cycle of Off, Hi, Medium and Low as pre-set

by the microcomputer program for 90 seconds per cycle and 6

seconds for each setting (off for 3 seconds.) High, medium or low

wind can be selected by using the ON / SPEED Key to imitate a

natural breeze.

Under this mode, the unit may enter computer-controlled wind mode,

in which the speed will slow down gradually according to the

change of ambient temperature, eliminating the risk of getting cold

during sleeping. The lowering procedure will be as follows:

Key:

When the unit is running, press the Key, the unit will enter

“STAND-BY” mode.

Cooling

Extra cooling can be achieved by putting ice cubes in the ice

compartment ( 10 ) or one of the 2 supplied ice packs into the water

compartment ( 8 ) after freezing them in your freezer, press the

key to increase the cooling effect.

Freeze one pack whilst using the other to maintain extra cooling.

WARNING:

Remember that the water level will rise as the ice melts. When using

ice, keep checking the water level to avoid water overflow.

About Ion:

The High Efficiency Air Anion Generator can generate anion

through discharging carbon fibre, during which the electrons and

oxygen in the air can combine to make negative ion (anion). This

has the effect of the oxygen molecules absorbing the anion, which

makes oxygen-carrying anion. As the oxygen-carrying anion has

strong magnetism, it is also known as “magnetic oxygen”.

About Anion

Research proves that the presence of anion in the air is important to

air quality. People in forests near waterfalls and at the seashore

enjoy much better air quality and freshness because of anion

contents in these places, 1000 times more than when near office

buildings and urban residential areas. The oxygen combined with

anion is very active and much easier to be absorbed by human

organs, which is beneficial for promoting human body growth, helps

prevent disease and revives the spirit.

Prevention of “Air-con” Symptoms

Long stays in an enclosed air-conditioned room may result in

exposure to excessive dust, hazardous gas and positive ion, which

induce “Air-con” Symptoms, light-headedness, insomnia, nausea

and amnesia which can become extremely dangerous to your health.

It is verified through tests that a room equipped with the Anion Air-

con Fan can have the anions increased from 50 to 10,000 within half

an hour of operation. The density of anion can be as much as 1

million, equivalent to the oxygen anion content in forest or waterfall

areas after 3 hours. Long term presence in this environment may

benefit from improving myocardium function, pulmonary function

and better sleeping, promoting metabolism and strengthening

resistance against disease.

Effect of Anion in Dust-proof and Sterilisation

With a negative electric charge, the anion in the air can be blown

throughout the room by the fan to neutralise the positive charge in

the particles of smoke and dust that float in the air, the neutral

particles losing activity may deposit automatically. The combination

of anion and bacteria cause structural modification of bacterial virus

or energy transfer, which lead to death of bacterial viruses.

Therefore anion is effective in dust resistance, sterilisation, medical

care and keeping fit. That is way utilisation of air-conditioners with

anion generating technology is in line with good health care.

Installation and Operation Guide

Open the package and take the unit out. To connect power for use

after abandoning foam cover.

Adding Water:

Open the Water compartment door on the left of the unit and fill the

water tank (figure3, figure4). Do not exceed the maximum water

level, marked on the water level window on the front bottom of the

unit (figure 5).

NOTE:

If there is little or no water in the tank the unit will sound an alarm

and this function will stop working.

Pay attention to the following:

1) When adding water, pay attention to the water level indicator on

the front of the unit (figure5).

2) Do not exceed the maximum level line (figure5).

3) Close the cover after adding water, otherwise the unit will not

work.

4) If you want to reduce more temperature, you can put ice on the

top of the unit (figure1, figure2).

5) Turn on the unit with the key, Press repeatedly to select high,

medium or low wind.

6) Timing hours (1hour, 2hours, 4hours or 8hours) can be selected. If

timing indicator is not on, the timing function is not in operation.

7) When choosing the wind oscillation function, press the key. If

oscillation indicator is on, air direction is from left to right; if you

move horizontal air leaf at the right side of the air outlet, air can

be blown up or down.

8) When you want to stop the machine, press the “ Key”, the unit

goes into “ ” mode.

Remote Control

1) The machine can also be operated with the remote control. Open

the batteries cover on the back of the remote control and install

two type AAA batteries observing the polarity markings inside

the battery compartment.

2) There are 7 keys on the remote controller, the functions are the

same as the corresponding buttons on the control panel of the

main unit.

When using remote control, it should be aimed at the receiver

window on the front of the unit at the top left, the maximum distance

is 6 meters.

1. Instruction of “ICE BOX”

The unit comes with two “ice boxes”, for its ability to cool the Air, it

can absorb the energy of water little by little, keeping the

temperature of the water around 8

C lower than that of the ambient

temperature, making the wind cooler.

Operation Method

1) Put the ICEBOXES into the refrigerator and keep them

inside till they are completely frozen.

2) Put them into the water tank from the Adding water cover on the

left of the unit. And then close the door. The temperature of the

water will be 8

C lower than that of the ambient temperature and

keeps for 4 hours, cooling the wind.

3) Using the two ICEBOXES alternately allows continuous cooling.

Points for Attention

l When adding water, do not exceed the “MAXIMUM” level.

l Choose normal wind when environmental humidity is too

high as cooling function is accompanied with humidifying.

l After adding water, do not tilt the unit or crash into objects

when moving the unit, this keeps water from overflowing

from the water tank.

l Do not put any objects on the unit.

l Disconnect power and pull out the plug before cleaning.

l Clean the cabinet of the unit with a damp cloth and mild

detergent. Do not use aggressive detergents or solvents to

clean the cabinet. Do not pour water on the control panel.

l If the machine has fallen down with water in it, the plug

should be pulled out of the outlet immediately. The machine

can be switched on after 24 hours. You might damage the

machine if you do not follow this instruction.

l Do not place the Air outlet or Air inlet of the unit close to a

wall or curtain, otherwise air can be blocked which will

effect performance.

l You will hear some uneven wind noise after using for a long

period of time. This is because the air filter is dusty and

blocks the airflow. Clean the filters (see the section on

cleaning the filters).

l When not using the appliance, pull the plug out of the wall

outlet.

l The appliance must be taken to a qualified service agent for

repair.

l If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the

manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified

persons in order to avoid an electrical hazard.

NOTE:

Do not let water come into contact with the control Panel as high

voltage is present inside the unit, unplug the unit when cleaning

or filling / draining water.

Cleaning

Removing the Filters

Pull the plug out of the wall outlet then hold the handle of the Air

Filter (3) and pull upwards, to remove it. Then pull the water net (2)

off the Velcro strips.

Cleaning the Filters

You must Clean both filters once every one or two months. Remove

the air filter and pull the water net from its Velcro mount and wash it

in soapy water. Clean the Air filter with a vacuum and a soft brush,

make sure the black Positive ion pad in the centre of the Air filter

does not come into contact with water.

Regenerate the Positive ion pad once a year by leaving the filter in

direct sunlight for 4 hours or more.

Water Tank

You must clean the water tank once every one or two months.

Cleaning the Water Tank

Disconnect the plug from the outlet, then open the water cover and

drain the water from the water tank by un-screwing the drainage

stopper at the bottom of the unit, let the water drain off, then clean

the sediments in the water tank with mild detergent.

Screw down the water stopper.

Cleaning the cabinet

Clean the cabinet with mild soap and a dampened soft cloth. Do not let any

parts of the control panel come into contact with water.

As there is high pressure in the machine, the plug must be

disconnected from the supply when cleaning.

Fonctions des Boutons sur le Pupitre de Commande

Bouton Marche / Vitesse:

Le bouton Marche / Vitesse permet de mettre l’appareil en marche et

de changer la vitesse du ventilateur. Le ventilateur tourne

initialement à vitesse moyenne, puis à faible vitesse après 3

secondes. Appuyez sur le bouton Marche / Vitesse pour sélectionner

la vitesse de votre choix. La vitesse du ventilateur peut être réglée

sur "Elevée", "Moyenne" ou "Faible". L’indicateur correspondant à

la vitesse sélectionnée s’illumine.

Bouton Climatiseur / Humidificateur: (voir

INSTALLATION ET MODE DE FONCTIONNEMENT )

Appuyez sur ce bouton lorsque vous ajoutez de l’eau ou de la glace.

La température de sortie DIMINUE après 20 secondes et l’indicateur

correspondant s’illumine. Le réservoir d’eau doit être plein pour que

cette fonction soit opérationnelle. Dans le cas contraire, une alarme

se fait entendre (voir section intitulée Refroidissement).

Bouton Oscillation:

Appuyez sur ce bouton pour activer la fonction d’oscillation pour un

brassage plus efficace de l’air. L’indicateur correspondant s’illumine.

Appuyez de nouveau sur ce bouton pour désactiver la fonction

d’oscillation.

Minuterie:

Appuyez répétitivement sur ce bouton pour désactiver la fonction

minuterie ou régler la minuterie sur 1 heure, 2 heures, 4 heures ou 8

heures.

Bouton Ioniseur:

Appuyez sur ce bouton pour activer la fonction ioniseur. Le

purificateur ionique intégré commence à générer des ions négatifs ou

anions. L’indicateur correspondant s’illumine. Appuyez de nouveau

sur ce bouton pour désactiver la fonction ioniseur. (voir section

intitulée Concernant les ions).

Bouton Mode:

En cours d’utilisation, appuyez sur ce bouton pour sélectionner le

type de flux d’air ou type de ventilation, avec au choix “Ventilation

Normale”, “Ventilation Naturelle” et “Ventilation Nuit”.

Ventilation Normale: (les indicateurs de ventilation

naturelle et graduelle sont éteints)

Rotation constante avec 3 vitesses au choix “FAIBLE”,

“MOYENNE” et “ÉLEVÉE”. Appuyez sur le bouton MARCHE /

VITESSE pour régler la vitesse de rotation.

Ventilation Naturelle:

Ce mode permet de créer un effet de brise naturelle par changement

aléatoire de la vitesse de ventilation. Le ventilateur fonctionne

suivant le cycle Arrêt, Elevée, Moyenne et Faible, déterminé par le

programme du microprocesseur intégré pendant 90 secondes par

cycle et 6 secondes pour chaque réglage (arrêt pendant 3 secondes).

La vitesse de ventilation Elevée, Moyenne ou Faible peut être

sélectionnée en appuyant sur le bouton MARCHE / VITESSE.

Ventilation Nuit:

Avec la fonction "spéciale nuit", l’appareil entre en mode de

ventilation assisté par ordinateur. La vitesse de ventilation diminue

progressivement en fonction de la température ambiante, éliminant

ainsi le risque de prendre froid la nuit. La diminution graduelle de la

vitesse s’opère de la façon suivante:

Bouton ARRÊT / VEILLE:

A tout moment, en cours d’utilisation, appuyez sur le bouton

ARRÊT / VEILLE pour entrer en mode de “VEILLE”.

Refroidissement

Pour augmenter la puissance de refroidissement du système, ajoutez

des glaçons dans le compartiment à glaçons (10) ou l’une des deux

poches de glace fournies dans le réservoir d’eau (8) après les avoir

laissé au réfrigérateur. Appuyez sur le bouton CLIMATISEUR /

HUMIDIFICATEUR pour augmenter l’effet de refroidissement.

Utilisez une seule poche de glace à la fois tandis que vous gardez

l’autre au réfrigérateur afin de maintenir le niveau de

refroidissement.

ATTENTION:

Lorsque vous utilisez des glaçons, n’oubliez pas que le niveau d’eau

augmente lorsque les glaçons fondent. Pensez donc à vérifier le

niveau d’eau pour éviter que l’eau ne déborde.

Concernant les ions:

Le Générateur d’Anions Haute Performance génère des anions par la

décharge de fibre de carbone. Un anion (ion négatif) est formé

lorsqu’un électron, charge électrique négative, vient s’accoler sur

une molécule d’oxygène. La molécule d’oxygène absorbe l’anion

pour former un anion oxygène. Etant donné que l’anion d’oxygène

est fortement magnétique, il est également connu sous le nom

d’"oxygène magnétique".

Concernant les Anions

Des recherches ont démontré que la présence d’anions dans l’air

influence fortement la qualité de l’air. La qualité de l’air est

notoirement meilleure en forêt, près d’une cascade ou au bord de la

mer en raison de la forte présence d’anions dans ces environnements,

1 000 fois supérieure à celle des zones d’habitation ou des zones

urbaines ou industrielles. L’anion d’oxygène actif est plus

facilement absorbé par les organes humains et permet donc de

promouvoir la croissance cellulaire et d’aider à la prévention des

maladies. Cet appareil fera donc le bonheur des amateurs d’air frais

et des particuliers soucieux de vivre dans un environnement sain.

Prévention des maux de la “Clim"

Des séjours prolongés dans une pièce fermée climatisée comportent

des risques d’exposition à des gaz toxiques, ions positifs et

poussières, lesquels peuvent provoquer l’apparition des célèbres

"maux de la clim", vertiges, troubles du sommeil, nausées, pertes de

mémoire et autres troubles graves de la santé. Des tests ont permis

de vérifier qu’une pièce équipée d’un climatiseur-ventilateur-

ioniseur permet de faire passer le nombre d’anions de 50 à 10,000 en

l’espace de 30 minutes. La densité des anions peut atteindre 1

million en l’espace de 3 heures, soit une densité comparable à celle

relevée en forêt ou dans des régions de cascades. Une présence

prolongée dans ce type d’environnement peut permettre d’améliorer

la fonction cardiaque et pulmonaire, réguler les troubles du sommeil,

stimuler le métabolisme et renforcer la résistance aux maladies.

Effets des anions en matière de stérilisation et de lutte contre la

poussière

Avec leur charge électrique négative, les anions présents dans l’air

peuvent être dispersés dans la pièce à l’aide du ventilateur pour

neutraliser la charge positive des particules de fumée et de poussière

flottant dans l’air de la pièce. Les particules neutralisées perdant leur

énergie se déposent automatiquement. Lorsque les anions entrent en

contact avec des bactéries, la structure de ces dernières s’en trouve

modifiée. Cette modification structurelle qui s’accompagne d’un

transfert d’énergie entraîne la mort des bactéries. Les anions sont

par conséquent efficaces en matière de résistance à la poussière,

stérilisation, soins médicaux, etc. L’utilisation d’un climatiseur

équipé d’un générateur d’anions est indispensable au confort et au

bien-être de la santé.

Mode d’Installation et Fonctionnement

Ouvrez l’emballage et sortez l’appareil. Enlevez les protections en

mousse avant de brancher l’appareil sur le secteur.

Ajouter de l’eau:

Ouvrez la trappe du réservoir d’eau situé sur le côté gauche de

l’appareil et remplissez le réservoir d’eau (figure 3, figure 4). Veillez

à ne pas excéder le niveau d’eau maximum, indiqué sur la fenêtre du

niveau d’eau sur la partie avant de l’appareil (Figure 5).

NOTE:

S’il y a peu ou pas d’eau dans le réservoir, une alarme se fait

entendre et la fonction cesse d’être opérationnelle.

Faites attention aux points suivants:

1) Lorsque vous ajoutez de l’eau, gardez un œil sur l’indicateur du

niveau d’eau situé sur la partie avant de l’appareil (figure 5).

2) Veillez à ne pas dépasser la ligne indicatrice du niveau d’eau

maximum (figure 5).

3) Refermez la trappe du réservoir d’eau une fois le réservoir rempli,

à défaut de quoi l’appareil ne peut se mettre en marche.

4) Si vous souhaitez augmenter la puissance de refroidissement,

ajoutez des glaçons dans le compartiment à glaçons, situé sur le

dessus de l’appareil (figure 1, figure 2).

5) Mettez l’appareil en marche en appuyant sur le bouton MARCHE

/ VITESSE. Appuyez répétitivement sur ce bouton pour

sélectionner la vitesse de ventilation Elevée, Moyenne, Faible.

6) Réglez le temps de la minuterie (1 heure, 2 heures, 4 heures ou 8

heures). Si l’indicateur de la minuterie est éteint, cela signifie que

la fonction est désactivée.

7) Pour activer la fonction d’oscillation, appuyez sur le bouton

Oscillation. Si l’indicateur d’oscillation est allumé, le flux d’air

se déplace de gauche à droite. Déplacez l’ailette horizontale

située à droite de la sortie d’air pour une ventilation à la

verticale, de bas en haut.

8) Pour éteindre l’appareil, appuyez sur le bouton ARRÊT.

L’appareil entre automatiquement en mode de "VEILLE".

Télécommande

1) Vous pouvez également faire fonctionner votre appareil à l’aide

de la télécommande. Ouvrez la trappe du compartiment à piles

au dos de la télécommande et installez 2 piles AAA en veillant à

respecter les indications de polarité à l’intérieur du compartiment.

2) Il y a 7 boutons sur la télécommande. Ces boutons ont les mêmes

Lorsque vous utilisez la télécommande, braquez la télécommande en

direction du récepteur sur la partie avant de l’appareil, en haut à

gauche. La télécommande a une portée maximale de 6 mètres.

1．Utilisation des “POCHES DE GLACE”

Cet appareil est livré avec deux “poches de glace”, lesquelles

permettent d’augmenter la puissance de refroidissement de l’appareil

en absorbant progressivement l’énergie contenue dans l’eau. La

température de l’eau est maintenue à une température inférieure de

8°C à la température ambiante, permettant ainsi un refroidissement

de l’air.

Mode d’Utilisation

1) Mettez les POCHES DE GLACE au réfrigérateur et gardez-les

au réfrigérateur jusqu’à ce qu’elles soient complètement gelées.

2) Ouvrez le couvercle du réservoir d’eau situé sur la gauche de

l’appareil et placez les POCHES DE GLACE à l’intérieur du

réservoir. Refermez le couvercle. La température de l’eau est

maintenue à une température inférieure de 8°C à la température

ambiante, permettant ainsi un refroidissement de l’air.

3) Utilisez une seule POCHE DE GLACE à la fois tandis que vous gardez

l’autre au réfrigérateur afin de maintenir le niveau de refroidissement.

Points Importants

l Lorsque vous remplissez le réservoir d’eau, veillez à ne pas

dépasser le niveau "MAXIMUM" indiqué.

l Choisissez le mode de ventilation normale lorsque

l’humidité environnante est élevée car la fonction de

climatisation s’accompagne d’une humidification de l’air.

l Une fois que avez rempli le réservoir d’eau, n’inclinez pas

l’appareil et ne lui faites subir aucun choc lorsque vous le

déplacez afin d’éviter que l’eau ne déborde du réservoir.

l Ne posez pas d’objets sur l’appareil.

l Eteignez l’appareil et débranchez-le de sa source

d’alimentation avant de le nettoyer.

l Nettoyez le corps de l’appareil à l’aide d’un chiffon propre

légèrement humide et d’un détergent doux. N’utilisez pas de

détergents abrasifs ni de solvants pour nettoyer le corps de

l’appareil. Ne versez pas d’eau sur le pupitre de commande.

l Si l’appareil vient à tomber avec son réservoir rempli d’eau,

débranchez-le immédiatement de sa source d’alimentation.

Attendez environ 24 heures avant de remettre l’appareil en

marche. Vous risquez d’endommager l’appareil si vous ne

suivez pas cette instruction.

l Ne placez pas l’entrée d’air ou la sortie d’air de l’appareil à

proximité d’un mur ou d’un rideau afin de ne pas entraver

la bonne circulation de l’air, ce qui peut affecter le

rendement de l’appareil.

l L’appareil peut produire des bruits inhabituels après une

utilisation prolongée. Ces bruits sont une indication que les

filtres à air sont sales et bloquent la bonne circulation de

l’air. Il vous suffit de nettoyer les filtres pour remédier à ce

problème (voir section consacrée au Nettoyage des filtres).

l Débranchez l’appareil de sa source d’alimentation lorsque

vous ne l’utilisez pas.

l L’appareil doit être confié à technicien qualifié pour toute

réparation.

l Si le cordon d’alimentation est endommagé, il doit être

remplacé par le fabricant, son agent agrée ou toute autre

personne qualifiée afin d’éviter les accidents d’origine

électrique.

NOTE:

Ne laissez pas de l’eau entrer en contact avec le pupitre de

commande de l’appareil en raison de la présence de circuits

internes à haute tension à l’intérieur de l’appareil. Débranchez

l’appareil de sa source d’alimentation avant de le nettoyer et

avant de remplir / vider le réservoir d’eau.

Nettoyage

Enlever les Filtres

Débranchez l’appareil de sa source d’alimentation, tirez sur la

poignée du filtre à air (3) pour enlever le filtre à air. Retirez le filet

écran (2) des bandes Velcro.

Nettoyer les Filtres

Nettoyez les filtres une fois par mois ou une fois tous les deux mois.

Enlevez le filtre à air et retirez le filet écran des bandes Velcro.

Lavez le filet écran à l’eau savonneuse tiède. Nettoyez le filtre à air à

l’aide d’un aspirateur et d’une brosse aux poils souples en veillant à

ce que le tampon générateur d’ions positifs situé au centre du filtre à

air n’entre pas en contact avec de l’eau. Rechargez le tampon

générateur d’ions positifs en le laissant au soleil pendant environ 4

heures.

Réservoir d’eau

Nettoyez le réservoir d’eau une fois par mois ou une fois tous les

deux mois.

Nettoyer le Réservoir d’Eau

Débranchez l’appareil de sa source d’alimentation puis ouvrez le

couvercle du réservoir d’eau et videz le réservoir en dévissant le

bouchon d’évacuation situé à la base de l’appareil. Laissez l’eau

s’écouler puis nettoyez les sédiments dans le réservoir d’eau avec un

détergent doux. Revissez le bouchon.

Nettoyer le Corps de l’Appareil

Nettoyez le corps de l’appareil à l’aide d’un chiffon légèrement

humide et d’un détergent doux. Ne laissez pas le pupitre de

commande entrer en contact avec de l’eau. En raison de la présence

de circuits internes à haute tension à l’intérieur de l’appareil,

débranchez l’appareil de sa source d’alimentation avec de le nettoyer.
