Using your Communication Headsets
Volume Adjustment
The Communication Headsets have a volume control on the headset. The
volume control is located on the right hand side ear cup, towards the back of the
headset. The control is raised slightly so it can be easily located without the need
to remove the headset during use.
Switching On and Off
To switch on, slide switch into the ON position. The status LED will light green
to indicate that they are ready to transmit and receive. Repeat these steps with
the other headsets. To switch off, slide the switch to OFF. The LED will turn off to
indicate headsets have fully switched off.
To Communicate
A green LED will indicate that the Headsets are ready to use. To talk, push the
button (microphone icon) on the right cup of the headsets. A solid Amber LED
will indicate headsets are communicating. The user wearing the other headset
should hear the sound from the first headset. As with all walkie-talkies the
Communication Headsets are half-duplex. This means both users cannot speak
at the same time and will need to alternate pressing the microphone button.
If the LED indicates an alternating red and green flashing light this means that the
destination headset is switched off.
Charging
When fully charged the Communication Headset will have a battery life of
approximately 10 hours continuous use (depending on distance and volume
setting). When the Communication Headset requires recharging, the status LED
will flash red to indicate low battery. To charge the Communication Headsets,
connect all the Headsets to the charger using the leads and splitter provided. The
statues LED will change to red to show they are charging. Once fully charged the
status LED will change to green.
