Quick Installation Guide
Introduction
Thank you for purchasing VENTECH® IP POE Camera. This Quick Start Guide is
designed to guide you through the installation of the VENTECH® IP POE Camera and
show you how to access the Camera Configuration Interface.
Warning/Caution
• Use the camera only with compatible VENTECH POE NVRs or directly to a router
• Read this guide carefully and keep it for future reference
• Follow all instructions for safe use of the product and handle with care
• Do not disassemble the camera
• Do not point the camera directly towards the sun or a source of intense light
• Periodic cleaning may be required. Use a damp cloth only. Do not use harsh
cleaners or aerosol cleaners
Installation Tips
• Point the camera where there is the least amount of obstructions
• Install the camera in a location that is difficult for vandals to reach
• Secure cabling so that it is not exposed or easily cut
• Camera rated for outdoor use
•Installation in a sheltered location recommended

Connecting the Camera
1. Connect the Ethernet cable to the camera.
NOTE: A 12V DC power is only required if connecting the camera’s Ethernet cable to
a router or switch that does not support PoE.
2. Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to the NVR’s PoE ports. The camera
may take up to 1 minute to power up after being connected to the NVR. See the
NVR Instruction Manual for details on connecting the camera to your NVR.
OR
Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to a router or switch on your network.
(You can use this camera without a NVR or DVR)

Troubleshooting
PROBLEM
SOLUTION
No picture /
signal
• Ensure the camera is connected to a compatible NVR
• The camera may take up to 1 minute to power up after
being connected to the NVR. Wait two minutes before
following the steps below
• Ensure the camera is connected to your NVR or to your local
network
• If you are not using PoE, you must connect the camera to a
12V DC power adapter (not included)
• If the camera is connected to the LAN, you must search your
network for cameras using the NVR. See the NVR’s Instruction
Manual
• Ensure your NVR is connected to a TV/monitor
• There may be an issue with your extension cable run.
Connect the camera to the NVR using a different Ethernet
cable
Picture is too
bright
• Ensure your camera isn’t pointed directly at a source of light
• Slide the sunshade (bullet cameras featuring adjustable
sunshades only) forward to block excess light
• Move your camera to a different location
• Check the brightness and contrast settings on the NVR or
NVSIP APP
Picture is too dark
• If using during the day, the camera may not be getting
enough light. Slide the sunshade (bullet cameras featuring
adjustable sunshades only) backwards to let in more light •
Check the brightness and contrast settings on the NVR
Night vision is not
working
• The night vision activates when light levels drop. The area
may have too much light
Picture is not
clear
• Check the camera lens for dirt, dust, spiderwebs. Clean the
lens with a soft, clean cloth
Picture is in color
in dark conditions
This camera comes with an image sensor that is extra
sensitive to light, meaning that the camera stays in color
mode at low-light conditions
Mobile phone connection
(NVSIP APP)
1. At the first remote configuration, we recommend you to
connect your Smartphone at same Wi-Fi of the LAN that IP
camera is connected.
2. Search “NVSIP” in App Store (for iOS) or in Google play (for
Android), or scan QR code APP. You can check QR codes on
camera sticker.
3. Open the APP at your smartphone, at the first time running the
software you need to register, then can login and manage
device, through registered accounts multiple devices can be
added to manage. You can also use visitor login to add and view
a single device
4. After login, click the (+) button, then scan the Device ID QR code
(Check sticker on camera body), introduce User and password
(admin and none by default) and save.
5. Please exit APP and restart your phone. (extremely
recommended for Android users)
6. Open NVSIP app again, and log in or click visitor login.
7. Then click your added device, select channels and start to
monitor your cameras, you can also control PTZ, record and
change some device settings remotely.
NOTE: IF YOU WANT TO USE AN EXTERNAL POE INJECTOR,
IT MUST BE A 48V POE ALTERNATIVE A PINOUT
ATTENTION - It is recommended to connect the camera to the NVR or an external PoE
switch. If using a DC power adapter with the camera, a REGULATED power supply is
REQUIRED for use with this camera. Use of a non-regulated, non-conforming power
supply can damage this product and voids the warranty. We recommend VENTECH
12V 1.5A Power Adapter.
Remote view via CMS program
1. Please open the web page www.nvsip.com/en/login.shtml
2. Once there please do click on Download CMS. The program will
start downloading, it will take a few second. After the
downloading process is completed, please open the CMS
program and proceed to install the program on your computer,
the process will take a few minutes more. This program is
completely safe so please accept all the permissions on your
computer.
3. Open CMS program, please click on “Devices” to add your IP
CAMERA, after login (User: admin and no password by default)
please select “Device list”, then create a new group. This new
group could be called as you like, and press OK.
4. If the IP CAMERA you want to add is connected to the same
network of your PC it will automatically appears on the left hand
of this menu (shows device ID and IP address). Please double
click on the device and it will be added to the group previously
created, then click exit.
5. If your pc is not connected to the same network of your IP
CAMERA or the device does not appear on the list previously
described please select the group you have already created and
click on “Manually”icon.
6. At Device field, you can introduce any name for the IP CAMERA,
at Vendor please select NVSIP, Then at Connection type select
CloudSSE_port, then introduce the NVSIP ID of the IP CAMERA
(your camera ID is labeled as UID code on your camera body)
leave port by default, introduce DVR user and password and
then click “OK”.
7. At the left top of the main screen you will find your created
group, please do right click on the HD IPC you just added and
then click on connect device.
8. CMS software allows you to remote view multiple IP cameras,
DVR and NVR located at different places
Note: This camera is compatible with other remote monitoring
software, if you want to obtain camera IP address we recommend
you install CMS and search the device at local network (step 4).
