RUGGED RIDGE SYNTHETIC AIR FILTER CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1. Remove your re-usable air lter from your factory air box or Rugged Ridge air
intake system. The factory air box and or area around the lter will need to
be cleaned also.
Step 2. Lightly shake or tap the lter to remove large debris and excess dirt. A soft
bristle paint brush may be needed to dislodge debris from the pleats in the
lter.
Step 3. Clean lter with dish soap or a mild degreaser spray and water. Allow cleaner
to soak in to penetrate dirt and debris. Do not allow cleaner to dry on lter.
No more than 5 to 10 minutes.
Step 4. Thoroughly rinse lter with clean water. Do not use high pressure water to
rinse. Allow air lter to air dry completely. For best results place air lter in
open sunlight. Once the lter is completely dry re-install in your vehicle.
NOTICE ! Do not use compressed air or high pressure water to clean lter. Do not expose lter to open
heat or ame to dry. Excessive force will damage the lter. Oil is not needed for lter.
