Note: When securing the wall mount bracket to the wall, it is necessary to use a minimum of three
studson48”wideboards,fourstudsfor60”and72”,andvestudsfor96”wideboardsin
supplement with other wall anchors.
Step 1: Determine the desired top of board height for mounting the magnetic porcelain markerboard.
Step 2: Measure approximately 1-3/4” down from desired top height and strike a horizontal line long enough to mount
the board.
Step 3: Evenly space the number of brackets such that they will be located inside the trim of the board being installed
(Fig. 1), the number of brackets depends on the width of the board as can be seen in Table 1. Ensure Z-bracket
slots are lined up through the horizontally struck line and that the bracket is level before fastening (Fig. 2).
Step 4: Using the proper fasteners and necessary anchors (not provided) appropriate for the type of wall construction,
mount Z-brackets.
Step 5: Reference the back side of the wall board for the location of the wall securing assemblies, as one side of the wall
securing assembly will be adhered to the back of the markerboard. Reference Table 1 for the quantity of
wall securing assemblies per board size. Measure the vertical distance from the desired
board height (in Step 1), to each assembly as well as horizontal distance from the right edge
of the board to each wall securing assembly. Mark the wall with these measured distances.
Step 6: Install wall securing assemblies on the wall using appropriate fasteners (not provided).
Step 7: Using two or more people, install porcelain wall board by slowly lowering markerboard on Z-brackets to avoid
damaging walls or the board. Ensure hangers are engaged fully with the slot in the board extrusion as
seen in Figure 3.
Step 8: Press markerboard into the wall, engaging the disk on the wall to the wall securing piece on the board.
Step 9: Clean porcelain with proper cleaner prior to initial use.
