IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
For your own safety read the following instructions carefully before attempting to connect this unit to
mains power:
You should only plug the appliance into a 220V-240V AC, 50Hz supply. Connecting it to other power
sources will damage the appliance.
1. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
2. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
3. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly
qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
4. The kettle is only to be used with the stand provided.
5. CAUTION: Do not operate the kettle on an inclined plane, Do not operate the kettle unless the
element is fully immersed. Do not move while the kettle is switched on.
6. This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:
staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments;
farm houses;
by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments;
bed and breakfast type environments.
Waste electrical products should not be disposed of with household waste. Please recycle where facilities
exist. Check with your local authority for recycling advice.

PREPARATION
Before connecting your Avancer Kettle to a power point, check that you are connected to 220-240V AC
50Hz mains power, which is the standard in Australian households.
Your Avancer Kettle must be earthed and should be disconnected from mains power when not in use. Do
not allow your Kettle to be exposed to rain or moisture outside normal use

Application
Filling your Kettle
1. Ensure that the Kettle is lifted off the base before filling.
2. To fill the kettle, open the cover by lifting the lid.
3. Fill to the desired level (Min 0.8 L~Max.1.8L)
4. Close the lid by pressing it down until it clicks into place.
Switching On/Off
1. Connect the Plug to a 240V power point.
2. To switch on the kettle, press the On/Off switch downwards. The power indicator light will then turn on.
3. When the water has boiled the kettle will automatically switch itself off.
4. You can halt the boiling process at any time by turning the Kettle off by flicking the On/Off switch. The
power indicator light will then turn off.
Cleaning and Maintenance
First read the instructions in the section titled “SAFETY WARNINGS”.
Avoid using abrasive cleaning agents.
Descaling
For normal use, descale the kettle at least twice a year by following the procedure below:
TO CLEAN THE INSIDE OF THE KETTLE:
1. Use a kettle de-scaling solution available from most supermarkets or household suppliers, OR
2. Half fill the kettle with tap water and add the juice of 1 lemon to the water.
3. Boil this mixture and allow it to stand for 15 minutes. Re-boil the mixture and allow it to stand for a further
15 minutes. Re-boil this mixture a third time and rinse the kettle well.
This procedure may need to be repeated in extreme cases. Abrasive cleaners MUST NOT be used as this can
damage the stainless steel finish.

Check that the base is connected to a working
wall socket and that the power is on.

The kettle is leaking
Ensure it has not be overfilled.
Completely dry the kettle, and leave overnight
preferably in an upside down position so water

can completely drain out.
Test kettle to see if leaks continue to occur and if
they do contact Support.

This product is guaranteed against manufacturing defects for a period of 1 year.
This does not cover the product where the fault is due to misuse, abuse, use in contravention of the instructions,
or where the product has been the subject of unauthorised modifications or alterations, or has been the subject
of commercial use.
If the Kettle is shown to have had an inherent defect present at the time of sale, Avancer will provide you with a
replacement.
According to the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) directive, WEEE should be separately collected and
treated. The above symbol on the product or its packaging indicates that this product is not to be handled as normal
household waste but is to be taken to a recycling collection point for electrical and electronic goods. By correctly
disposing of this product you are contributing to the protection of the environment and to the health of your fellow human
beings. Improper disposal endangers health and the environment. Further information about the recycling of the product
may be obtained from your local council, refuse collection department or the store where you purchased the product.
