•Makesurethatthepowersocketispermanentlyandeasilyaccessibleandshelteredfromrainand

•Thecontrolboxmustnotbeinstalledinafloodablearea.

•Thecontrolboxmustbestoredinadryplacethatisshelteredfromtheweather.

•Installthecontrolboxatleast3.5metersfromthepooledgeandavoidexposingittodirectsunlight.

•Donotallowbathingwhenthecleanerisinthepool.Ifthecontrolboxfallsintothewateritis

imperativethatyouremovethepowersupplybeforeretrievingit.

•Inordertoavoidrisksofelectrocutionneveropentheelectroniccontrolbox.Contactaqualified

technician.

•Neverattempttorepairthepowersupplycable.Contactyourresellertoreplaceitwithanoriginalpart

toavoidanyhazards.

•Disconnectthepowersupplycablebeforeanycleaning,maintenanceorserviceoperationsandafter

eachuse.

•Thecleanermustoperateinpoolwaterhavingthefollowingcharacteristics:Chlorine<3mg/l,pH

between6.8and7.6,temperaturebetween15°Cand35°C.

 Donotoperatethecleaneroutofthewater.

 Incorrectinstallationorusemaycauseseriousdamagetopropertyorseriousinjuries(possiblycausing

death).

 Keeptheapplianceoutofthereachofchildren.



Thesurfaceofcertainvinylpatternedsurfacescanwearrapidlyandthepatternsdisappearoncontact

fromobjectssuchascleaningbrushes,toys,inflatablebuoys,chlorinedistributorsandautomaticpool

cleaners.Thedecorationonsomevinylsurfacescanbescratchedorwornbybasicfrictionsuchasthrough

theuseofapoolbrush.Thecoloursofcertainpatternscanalsobeerasedduringuseorwhenincontact

withobjectsinthepool.Theerasedpatterns,wearorscratchingofvinylsurfacesarenottheliabilityof

Zodiac®andarenotcoveredbythelimitedwarranty.



 Nevercoverthecontrolboxwhilethecleanerisinoperation,

 Ifpartofthepoolisnotproperlycleanedchangetheplacewhereyouimmersethecleaneruntilyoufindthe

bestspot,

 Thebehaviouroftherobotisstronglyimpactedbythetanglingofthecable.Pleaseuntanglethecableandlayit

outinthesunsothatitreturnstoitsoriginalshape,

 Youcanoperatethefilteringpumpduringacleaningcycle,theparticlesplacedinsuspensionbythecleanerwill

thusbefilteredout.However,ifthebehaviourofthecleanerisinfluencedbythejetasthedischargenozzle

levelwhenthefilteringpumpisoperational,weadviseyoutostartyourrobotwhenthefilteringpumpisnot

operating.



 Placethecleanerverticallyintothewater(1)andmoveitslightlyinalldirectionssothattheaircontainedinthe

cleanerescapes(2).

 Itisessentialthatthecleanersinksonitsownandsettlesonthepoolbottom.Spreadouttherequiredlengthof

cablebythepool.Foroptimumoperationwerecommendthatyouplacethecaddywiththecontrolboxatthe

centreofthepoollength(3).



1.6Electricalconnection



 Unscrewtheprotectivecap.



 Connectthefloatingcabletothecontrolbox(1)andlockit

intoplace:firmlytightentheringbyturningitclockwise(2).

Makesuretheconnectorissufficientlypushedintoplace.If

thisisnotthecaserepeattheoperation.



 Connectthemainscable.Onlyconnectthecontrolboxtoa

poweroutletprotectedbya30mAmaximumgroundfault

circuitbreaker(ifindoubtcontactaqualifiedelectrician).



Donotuseyourcleanerduringshockchlorination!

Donotallowbathingwhenthecleanerisinthepool.



Placethecontrolboxatadistanceofatleast3.5metresfromtheedgeofthepoolavoidingplacing

thecontrolboxindirectsunlight.Preferalocationthatiscleananddry,flatandfreeofanyobject

thatcoulddamagetheunderpartofthecontrolbox.

3.1Startingupthecleaner



 Youcanlaunchthecleaningcyclebypressingthe"START/STOP"button.



3.2Stoppingthecleaner



 Pressthe"START/STOP"buttononthecontrolbox.



3.3Removingthecleanerfromthewater



Whenthecleaneriswithinhand'sreachpickitupbythehandleandliftitgentlyout

ofthepoolsothatthewateritcontainsdrainsintothepool(1).



4.Maintenance



4.1Cleaningthefilter



 Filteraccess



 



Thepoolcleanerissoefficientthatitisnotnecessarytorunmorethan3cyclesperweek

Don'tpullonthecabletoremovethecleanerfromthepool.Usethehandle.



Thecleanerperformancecanbereducedifthefilterisfullordirty.Makesureyoucleanthefilterregularly

withcleanwaterforefficientpoolcleaning.

4.2Replacingthebrushes



 ThecleanerisfittedwithPVCbrushes.Theyhavewearindicators(1).

 Toremovewornbrushes,removethetabsfromtheholesinwhichtheyarefixed.

 Tofitnewbrushesstartbyfittingthesidewithouttabsunderthebrushholder(2).

 Rollthebrusharounditssupportandslidethetabsintothefixingholes(3).

 Pullontheendofeachtab(4)untilitsedgepassesthroughtheslit.

 Cutthetabsusingscissorssothattheyareatthesamelevelastheotherblades(5).



4.3Changingthebands





 Thecleanermustbecleanedregularlyusingcleanorslightlysoapywater,donotusesolventssuchas

trichloroethyleneoritsequivalent.Rinsethecleanergenerouslyusingcleanwater.Donotletyourcleanerdryin

thesunbythepool.

 Rollupthecablewithcautionwhenstoringitsoastoavoidtangling.



4.5Recycling



Thissymbolonanewappliancemeansthattheequipmentmustnotbethrownaway,itwillbe

selectivelycollectedforthepurposeofreuse,recyclingorcreatingvalue.Ifitcontainssubstancesthat

arepotentiallyharmfultotheenvironment,theywillbeeliminatedorneutralised.Askyourreseller

abouthowtorecycleyourapplianceandthebodiesthatcandoso.



5.Troubleshooting



5.1MeaningofControlindicatorLedBLINKS



 Ifthe Ledisoff,thecleanerisoperatingnormally.Itisnotcommunicatinganyinformation.

 Ifthe Ledisblinking,thecleanerissignallingthatyoushouldperformcheckstoimprovecleaning.



Iftheproblemcontinuescontactyourreseller.

Werecommendthatyoureplacethebrusheseverytwoseasons.

ProblemsSolutions



 Checkthatthecleaneriscorrectlyconnectedtothecontrolbox.If

necessary,unplugitandreconnectitfollowingtheappropriate

procedure.



 Checkthatnothingisstoppingthebrushesfromturningcorrectly

(sand,cable,etc.).Todothisturnthewheeltotheleftandthen

rightone1/4turninbothdirections.



 Robotoperatingoutsidethepool.

Makesureyoustartthecleanerwhenitisinthewater(see§1.5).

 Checkforthepresenceofpebblesorhairinthefan,cleanthefilter.












