Material You Will Need (Not Included;
for a permanent installation):
2 x 4 x 8 ft Pressure Treated Lumber (1) - Cut and ripped in
half to get four, 2 x 2 x 4 ft pieces.
2 Bags of Concrete Mix (if setting arbor in concrete footings)

General Information
Read Instructions through carefully before beginning assembly.
When assembling components, place on a non-abrasive surface
(i.e. shipping box) to avoid scratching.
We recommend an area approx 10’x 8’ for unobstructed assembling.
You should not need to use excessive force when assembling components.
Please read through before starting assembly.

Fasten the posts to the beam using 8, 1 1/2” screws through the predrilled holes.

Repeat steps 1 and 2 for the second side panel.
STEP ONE
Insert two posts completely into the routed holes on the beam as shown.

STEP TWO
Apply some vinyl glue to the inside of the decorative end cap
and attach to the ends of the rafters as shown.
Note the orientation of the rafter (notch facing down) and the
orientation of the end cap.
Repeat for all three rafters.
With a helper, stand the two side panels up and space them 48” apart.
Ensure that the screws should be facing each other (inwards).
Place the three rafters onto the beams as shown.
Place two joists to help space out the rafters as shown. The rafters
should be 1 3/8” from the edge of the posts.

STEP TWO
Fasten the rafters to the beams by driving two, 3” screws through
the pre-drilled holes into the beams. Do this for all three rafters.
Place the five joists onto the rafters and space them out as shown.
Fasten the joists to the rafters using three, 3” screws for each joist
through the pre-drilled holes into the rafter.

STEP THREE
For a temporary installation, use the ground stake supplied:
With a helper, carefully place the arbor on its side
Insert the ground stake 6” into the bottom of the post as shown
and fasten with two, 1 1/2” screws.

For a permanent installation, use a 4 x 4 x 8 ft pressure treated posts (not included), cut and ripped into four, 2 x 2 x 4ft pieces :
With a helper, carefully place the arbor on its side
Insert the wooden posts 12” into the bottom of the post as shown
and fasten with two, 1 1/2” screws.

Move the arbor to its final location (you will need a helper).
When you are satisfied with the location, mark the locations of
the posts, then move the arbor aside and lay it carefully on its
side.
Excavate 4 holes approximately 6” Diameter x 12” deep.
Carefully move the arbor back into position and level it both
vertically and horizontally.
Backfill the holes with the excavated soil to cover the anchors.

Similar to the above steps, move the arbor to its final location.
When you are satisfied with the location, mark the locations of
the posts, then move the arbor aside and lay it carefully on its
side.
Excavate 4 holes approximately 6” Diameter x 18” deep.
Fill the holes with wet cement (purchase separately) flush to the
ground. Carefully move the arbor back into position.
Support the arbor as so it doesn’t “sink” into the wet cement and
level over the holes using blocks of wood under the beams or the
rafters. The post bottoms should insert themselves approximately
1” into the concrete.

Carry the arbor to its final location and excavate four holes
approximately 36” deep, 12” diameter.
The spacing of the holes should be as per image aside.
With a helper or two, carefully place the arbor with wooden
posts into the holes.
Level the arbor both horizontally and vertically.
Backfill the holes with either gravel or cement.
