GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS

Thisappliance mustbe grounded.In theeventof an electricalshortcircuit,

grounding reducestherisk of electricshockby providing an escapewire for

theelectriccurrent.Thisappliance isequippedwith a cord havinga grounding

wire with a grounded plug. Theplug mustbeinsertedinto an outletthat is

properly installedand grounded.

• Improper useof theplug can resultin a riskof electricshock.

• Consulta qualified electricianor servicepersonif thegrounding

instructionsare not completelyunderstoodor if doubt existsasto

Unpacking Your Applian¢÷

• Removeall packing materials including transportation bolts.

• Inspect and remove any remains of packing, tape or printed materials before

using the washer.

• Transportation Bolts must be removed before using the machine. Once removed,

save them sowhen moving you can reinstall to protect the machine from damage

during shipping.

• Water inlet hosesand other accessories are packed and placed in the drum.

Asshown in figure1, removeall

thepacking materials(including

thefoam base).

Upon opening of the package,

water drops may be seen on the

plastic bag and the porthole. This

is a normal phenomenon resulting

from water tests in the factory.

Water tests are conducted to check

for leakage.

shouldbe followed beforeusingtheappliance:

1. Removetheback plateof thewashing

machine.Toremovethis you mustremove

threescrewsholding the panel.

2. Now you could removethetransportationbolts.

While removingthethreeboltsfrom the rear

of thewashingmachine,removethe rubber

hoseswhich are behindthe transportation

boltsinsidetheunitat the sametime. Remove

themetalbracketand savein a safeplacefor

lateruse.

3. Reinstallthe backplate.

4. Filltheholesleftby the boltswith plasticplugs.

(Attention:Theboltsand rubber hoseshould

be kept in a safe placefor later use.)(Fig. 2B)

figure 3, sothat it is level.

Levelinglegscanbe adjustedby turning them

• Connectthe straightcoupling of theinlet hose

to thewater tap and makesureto tightenit.

• Connectthe elbowcouplingof theinlet hose

to each inlet valves of the unit and makesure

to tightenit.

Water Inlet Hoses

Note: A flat rubber washer must be present inside each end of the inlet hoses.

Over tightening may cause damage to the valve.

Water Drainage Hose

• Theheightof the pipe for thewater drainage

hoseshouldbe between2'6" to 3'3". The

Power Supply

• Unit should be connected to a regular 120V~60 Hz 15A grounded

outlet. Make sure local city codes are followed.

Y Adapter Connection

Note: "Y Adapter" shown in below figure is only for illustration. It is not

provided in the box as an accessory. Ifyou need to utilize this type

of hookup, you can purchase a "Y Adapter" from your nearest

hardware store.

1. Cycle Selector

To set a desired wash program, turning the knob will light the cycle selected on

the control panel. Wash cycles are: Cotton, Synthetic, Wool, Silk, Quick & Sport.

Once selected you could press the "Start/Pause" button to start operation.

2. Start/Pause Button

After a cycle,options,spin speed,temperatureand dry cycleis selected,pressthis

buttonto begin wash. Duringa wash cycle, pressthis buttonto pauseoperation.

Pressagain to resumeoperation. If dry cycleisselected,thewash load will go into

drying program after thewash isdone.

3. Spin Speed Selection

By pressing this button, the required spinning speed can be selected. You could

choose from Max; High; Medium; Low to No Spin.

The maximum speed will vary when a different program is selected.

4. Temperature Button

Pressbuttonto selectwash/rinse temperature.Selectionchoiceis hot/cold;

warm/warm; warm/cold; cold/cold. Thewash/rinse temperaturewill vary when a

differentprogram isselected.

5. Drying Button

To startthedry cycleimmediatelyafter thewashcycle,pressthisbutton.An indicator

will lightup showingitsactivation.Whentheunitgoesin thedry modethelightwill

flash.TocanceltheprogrampresstheStart/Pausebuttonbeforethecycleis complete.

PressingDrying buttonagain will cancelthedry programand turn off thelight.

NOTE:Dryingcycleis notavailablein all washcycles.

6. Extra Rinse Button

Pressthisbuttonto add an additional rinsecycleto yourwash load. A light on the

display screenwill alert youthat the option hasbeenactivated.Beforethewash

cyclegoesin thesofteningmodean additional rinsecyclewill be added.

7. Prewash

Pressthisbuttonto activatethe Pre-Washcycle.Theindicator light will light up.

Oncethewash cyclestartsitwill firstgo in the Pre-washmodeand thenin the regu-

lar wash cycle. Duringthistime the Pre-Washdisplay lightwill blink and water will

inflow in the 1stcompartmentof thedetergentdispenser.At the endof thecyclethe

display lightwill turn off.

8. Delay Start

Toselect,pressthe"Delay"functionbutton.Thewash cyclewill beginata latertimeof

your choosing.Thecyclestartwill bedelayedby 1 houreachtimeyoupressthebut-

ton,toa maximumof 24 hours.Afterthedisplayshows24:00, pressingthebu_onone

moretimewill makethedisplayshow00:00. Now youcancancelthedelayfunction

withoutpoweringoff thecombo.When selected,thedelayiconwill lightupand will

onlyshutoffwhenthecyclecommences.Thedisplayshowsdelaytimein hours.Once

theselecteddelaytimeisreachedthemachinewill START.

9. LCD Display

Showswashcyclechosen,drycyclechosen,remainingwash/dryor delaytime,spin

speedandtemperatureselection.Indicatorlightshowingdelay,prewash,extrarinseof

dryingwillalsobedisplayed.Doorlockandchildlockfunctionswill belitwhenactivated.

10. Detergent Distributor

If prewashcycleischosen,add detergentin the

1stcompartment.

Regularwashing detergentisto be filled in the

2nd compartment.

A lock lightwill illuminatewhen thedoor is locked.

12. Child Lock Indicators

When child lock isactivatedthisindicator will light up.Once thecombois running,

press"Delay" and "Start/Pause"at thesametime for 3 seconds.Thiswill activate

thefeature.TheLCDdisplaywill show "SafeOn". Now theselectedcyclescannot

accidentallybe changedbyanyone. Tocancelpressthe "Delay" and the "Start/

Pause"again for 3 seconds.

Loading

• Loadeachitem loosely.

light clothes.

• Carefullycheckall pocketsand cuffsfor small items.Theycan easily slideintothe

tub and damagethetub.

• Pre-treatall stainsand heavily soiledareasfor bestresults.

• Do notoverloadyour washer.

• Closethedoor properly after loading clothes.

Proper Use of Dispenser

The detergent/softener dispenser is located on the upper left corner

of the washer. Open the dispenser by pulling it out. You will see that there

are three compartments.

1. Prewashing Detergent

2. Detergent

3. Softening Agent

Proper Use of Fabric Softener:

• Pourliquid fabric softenerinto compartmentas recommendedby

themanufacturer.

• Do notexceedthe levelin thecompartmentto avoid overflow.

Warning: • Neverpour fabric softenerdirectlyontoclothesbecauseitwill stain

your clothesor you may get spotson your clothes.

• Do notusepowder form of softenerinto dispenser,or it will clog up

the dispenser.Thisdispenseris onlydesignedfor liquid form.

Proper Use of Detergent:

When pre-washcycleisselecteddo notuseliquiddetergent.

Low-Sudsing detergent is recommended for front load style washers. Thistype of

detergent prevents damage to your washing machine, which may be caused by

excess amount of sudsentering the condensing compartment.

Note: You can use less or more detergent depending on the size of the load, water

type in your area whether it is soft or hard and whether the clothes are heav-

ily soiled or lightly soiled. Besidesthe performance of the

washing machine, the quality of the detergent also effects the

washing result. Do not use liquid detergent in compartments 1 and 2.

UsingYour Washer

Turningthe "CycleSelector"dial will allow you to selecta wash cycle.Theselected

cyclewill be illuminatedon thecontrol panel.Thespin speedand thewash/rinse

temperatureare presetfor eachof thecycles.Now you could selectthe "Drying"

program and pressthe"Start/Pause"buttonto startthewash.

If after selectingthe cycleyouwant to changethespinspeedand thewash/rinse

temperatureyou couldmanuallychangethesettingsby pressingthe "Speed"and

"Temperature"buttons.You couldalsoselectotheroptionssuchas "Prewash"and

"ExtraRinse"at thistime.An iconwill be lit on the controlpanel showingyour

selections.

Thereare 3 drying selections.Auto dry, TimeDry (60 min)or Touchup can be

selectedbeforestartingthewash.Touchup cycleischosento removewrinklesthat

are setin clothesthat havebeen in theclosetfor a long time.Thisisa 30 minute

dry cycle.

After all your selectionsare choseneitherpress"Start/Pause"buttonto startthe

cycleor press"delay" buttonto startthewash at a latertime. Eachpressof this

featurewill delay thestartof thewash in 1 hour time increments.

NOTE: Toallow clothesto tumblein thedry cycle,thedrum shouldonly be

half full.

ADDITIONAL IN FORMATION

WARNING: Toreducethe riskof fire, do notdry itemscontaining foam rubber

or similarlytexturedrubber-likematerials.

• Adding thesofteneragentcan helpthe laundryto get rid of thestaticelectricity

and maketheclothesfeel softand easyto iron.

Energyand Water SavingDuring Wash Process

1. Collectclothesfor one full wash load.

2. Do notoverloadthewashing machine.

3. Prewashheavily soiledclothes.

4. ChooseQuick cyclefor lightly soiledclothes.

5. Choosea proper spinspeed.

6. Do notusemoredetergentthan required.

7. Softeningagentmakesclothesfeelsofterand easierto iron.

Other Functions

Power-off memory function:

Thismachine hasa power-off memoryfunction. Incaseof abrupt powerfailure or if

thepower mustbe cutoff during a program cycle,thepresentsettingswill be saved,

and operationwill resumewhen thepower is switchedon again.

Normal Operating Sounds

The following sounds are normally heard during the

operation of the washer:

• Tumblingsounds:Thisisnormalas theheavywet clothesin thewasherare

continuouslybeing tossedaround.

• Air rushingnoise:Thishappenswhenthewashertub spinsat a very high RPM.

• Wash and rinsecyclesgoing on and off will also makeclickingsounds.

and warnings to avoid personal injury or product damage.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Usea damp or sudsycloth for cleaningcontrolpanel.

• To avoid any kind of damage to cabinet finish, wipe appliance cabinet as

needed. If you spill liquid/powdered softener, bleach or detergent on the cabinet,

wipe cabinet immediately because it can damage the finish.

• Do notuseanyabrasive, harshchemicals,ammonia,chlorinebleach,

concentrateddetergent,solventsor metalscouringpads. Someof thesechemicals

may dissolve,damageand/or discoloryour appliance.

• Remove pins or other sharp objects from clothes to prevent scratching interior parts.

• The Detergent Dispenser Compartment has a removable insert. Over time, this

compartment may accumulate dried detergent, dirt and debris. You must remove

the insert, then rinse in a sink or remove debris with a soft brush.

Cleaning the Filter (onceeverymonth)

Thisfilter isusedto trap buttons,coins,or other looseobjectsthat may be forgotten

in pocketsof clothing.

by turningcounterclockwiseasshownin Fig. 2. Flushcleanwith running water.

Replacethe filter by turningclockwiseand remountthecoverin Fig. 3.

Note: It is recommendto usea shallowpan or placea towel belowthe filterwhen

cleaningas therewill be water being dispensed.

Caution: Attentionmustbe paid to ensurethat thefilter isreplacedcorrectlyto

avoid possibleleakage.
