BLOTZ B20-RU-004, B20_RU_004 Assembly Instructions

  • Hello! I've reviewed the instructions for the BLOTZ Ruin B20-RU-004 model. This document details how to assemble the 20mm scale corner ruin using provided wall pieces, and suggests painting techniques to achieve a weathered appearance using dry brushing. I am ready to answer any questions about its construction or other details included in this manual.
  • What type of glue is needed?
    What tools are required?
How should I prepare the model for painting?
20mm Ruins #4 Corner with Windows
B20-RU-004
Please read these instructions fully before starting construction.
PVA or equivalent glue will be required to stick sections together.
Sand paper can be used to gently clean any joints.
A sharp modelling knife will be required to remove sections from the sprue. Please use knives with due care and remember
to cut away from yourself at all times.
During the construction of this model, you may find it convenient to use pegs / elastic bands to hold pieces in place while
you allow glue to dry.
Remove the four wall pieces from the sprue as shown
above.
Stick the inner pieces (shown at the bottom of the
previous picture) to the base.
Attach the two outer wall pieces.
The finished item.
Once constructed, we sprayed our model with a matt black car undercoat aerosol, then applied a heavy
drybrush of a dark blue/grey colour emulsion.
After that had dried we applied a lighter drybrush of a pale grey colour, then followed this by a very light dry-
brush of an almost white emulsion.
All our emulsion paints are DIY store colour-test pots.
