IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
Intended Use:
The Leaf Blower/Vacuum is designed only for the suction and blowing of dry leaves in private households
and as a hobby device in the garden. Any other utilisation, which is not explicitly approved in these
directions, can lead to damage to the Leaf Blower/Vacuum and represent a serious danger to the user.
Not Intended use:
A Leaf Blower/Vacuum is not a wet suction device. Please avoid the suction of wet materials (leaves and
dirt), since this can lead to blockage of the shredder chamber and reduced performance. The use of the
Leaf Blower/Vacuum in the rain or in a humid environment is forbidden. The Leaf Blower/Vacuum MUST
N0T be employed in areas where there are health endangering dusts or as a wet suction device.
Residual Risks:
Even if appropriate using of the Leaf Blower/Vacuum, there still always remains a certain residual risks
which cannot be excluded. From the kind and construction of the Leaf Blower/Vacuum the following
potential endangerments can be derived:
Inhalation of dust particles.
Loose clothes or long hair can be drawn into the air inlet opening.
Use the equipment with damaged protection device or missing safety devices.
1) Training
Read the instructions carefully. Be familiar with the controls and the proper use of the Leaf Blower/Vacuum.
Never allow children to use the Leaf Blower/Vacuum.
Never allow people unfamiliar with these instructions to use the Leaf Blower/Vacuum. Local regulations
may restrict the age of the operator.
Never operate the Leaf Blower/Vacuum while people, especially children, or pets are nearby.
The operator or user is responsible for accidents or hazards occurring to other people or their property.
2) Preparation
While operating the Leaf BlowerIVacuum, always wear substantial footwear and long trousers.
Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery that can be drawn into the air inlet. Keep long hair away from
the air inlets.
Wear protective goggles while operating the Leaf Blower/Vacuum.
To prevent dust irritation the wearing of a face mask is recommended.
Before using, check the supply and extension cord for signs of damage and aging. Do not use the Leaf
Blower/Vacuum if the cord is damaged or worn.
Never operate the Leaf Blower/Vacuum with defective guards or shields, or without safety devices, for
example waste bag not in place.
0nly use a weather proof extension cable f itted with a coupler according to IEC 60320-2-3.
3) 0peration
Always direct the cable to the rear away from the Leaf Blower/Vacuum.
If a cord becomes damaged during use, disconnect the supply cord from the mains immediately. DO
NOT TOUCH THE CORD BEFORE DISCONNECTING THE SUPPLY.
Do not carry the Leaf Blower/Vacuum by the cable.
Disconnect the Leaf Blower/Vacuum from the mains supply:
Whenever you leave the Leaf Blower/Vacuum.
Before checking, cleaning or working on the Leaf Blower/Vacuum.
If the Leaf Blower vacuum starts to vibrate abnormally.
Operate the Leaf Blower/Vacuum only in daylight or in good artificial light.
Do not overreach and keep your balance at all times.
Always be sure of your footing on slopes.
Walk, never run.
Keep all cooling air inlets clear of debris.
Never blow debris in the direction of bystanders.
4) Maintenance and Storage
Keep all nuts, bolts and screws tight to be sure the Leaf Blower/Vacuum is in safe working condition.
Check the waste bag frequently for wear or deterioration.
Replace worn or damaged parts.
Use only genuine replacement parts and accessories.
Store the Leaf Blower/Vacuum only in a dry place.
To reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock, or injury:
When unplugging, hold the plug top not the power cord.
The electric cable must be uncoiled, coiled cables can overheat and reduce the eciency of the Blower/
Vacuum. Do not immerse the body of the Blower/Vacuum or the electrical cord or plug in water or liquids.
It is recommended that a Residual Current Device (RCD) with a tripping current of not more that 30mA
is used.
Do not use in humid, damp or wet weather.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly
qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
Refer all servicing which involves the taking or putting on of parts (other than those specifically referred
to in this manual), to a qualified person or approved service agent.
Do not use harsh abrasives, or caustic cleaners when cleaning this Blower/Vacuum.
Never operate the Blower/Vacuum when you are tired, ill or under the inuence of alcohol, drugs or medicine.
Do not repair a damaged cable. Replace it with a new one.
Do not pull the cable around sharp objects.
Always switch o the mains before disconnecting any plug, cable connector or extension cable.
Use only AC mains supply voltage shown on the Leaf Blower/Vacuum rating label.
Avoid accidental starting. Ensure that the switch is in the 0 position before turning the mains supply on.
Do not use the Leaf Blower/Vacuum if the switch does not turn it 0n or 0.
Do not use the Leaf Blower/Vacuum when it is raining or in damp and wet areas.
Never use the Leaf Blower/Vacuum in or near water.

Electrical Information
Before using this Blower/Vacuum check that the
voltage of your electricity supply is the same as that
indicated on the rating plate of the appliance. In the
UK this is 230-240 volts.
WARNING: If the mains power cable (cord) is damaged
in any way it must be replaced by a qualified
technician. The power cable (cord) is terminated with
a UK approved mains plug fitted with a 13A fuse. If the
fuse needs to be replaced, an ASTA or BSI approved
BS1362 fuse rated at 13A must be used. If you change
the mains plug, remove the fuse and dispose of the
old plug safely and immediately after cutting it from
the power cable (cord). The wires in the mains lead are
coloured in accordance with the code:
Blue: NEUTRAL Brown: LIVE
As these coloured may not correspond to the
coloured markings identifying the terminals in your
plug, proceed as follows:
The wire coloured BLUE or BLACK must be connected to the terminal marked with the letter N.
The wire coloured BR0WN or RED must be connected to the terminal marked with the letter L.

Unpacking and Assembly
Unpack the components
Retain the packaging. If you dispose of it, do so by obeying your local recycling regulations. Identify the
components from the photographs shown on page 5. If items are missing or damaged, contact your
nearest Tesco store for assistance. Please have your receipt ready when you call.
1. Note: The rear tube is packaged inside the front tube. Slide the front tube fully out to begin assembly.
2. Insert the rear tube into the motor housing until it clicks firmly into position.
3. Secure in place using a at head screwdriver, and two of the screws provided.

4. Insert the front tube into the rear tube until it fits firmly in position.
5. Secure in place using a at head screwdriver, and one of the screws provided.

6a. Insert the wheel containing the bolt into the mounting hole at the front of the blow tube.
6b. Insert the wheel containing the nut into the other side of the mounting hole and tighten by hand
until wheel is securely in place as shown.

7. Insert the blow head into the front blow tube until it click into place.
8. Insert the waste bag adapter into the slot at the bottom of the motor housing. Ensure that both clips
lock securely into place.
9. Hook the waste bag to the bottom of the front tube. Check that the bag is installed the correct way
round, as shown.

Using your Leaf blower/Vacuum
Before using your blower/Vacuum ensure that the tubes and collection bag are fitted correctly. Adjust the
shoulder strap to allow use of the device in a comfortable position. Hold the Blower/Vacuum with both
hands at a height suitable for your working position.

Safety notice
Before plugging in and switching on, read the safety instructions and warnings in this manual.
Switch the Blower/Vacuum o before making any adjustments or attempting to clear any
blockages. If the appliance gets blocked while in use, switch it o immediately and unplug from
the power supply.
When operating your Leaf blower/ Vacuum
Do NOT use the Blower/Vacuum if it has been dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or dropped into water.
Do NOT handle the mains plug or blower/Vacuum with wet hands.
Do NOT blow or vacuum hot items such as cigarettes, matches and ashes.
Do NOT vacuum hard or metal objects such as nails and pins.
Do NOT pick up toxic, or ammable materials or use in the presence of explosive or toxic dust, liquids
or vapour.
Do NOT put any objects into openings.
Do NOT use with any tubes or filters blocked.
Do NOT use without all tubes and components in place.
Before use check that the waste bag is empty and empty it as frequently as required.
Keep the end of the blower away from your face and body.
If the Blower/Vacuum becomes clogged, switch o and unplug the power cord before clearing
the obstruction.
NEVER leave the blower/vacuum unattended while it is plugged into the mains.
Operating your Leaf blower/Vacuum
1. To turn the Blower/Vacuum on make sure that the blower is connected to the mains power supply and
slide the on/o switch forwards until a 1 is shown on the switch.
2. To turn o the Blower/Vacuum slide the switch backwards.

Cable restraint
A cable restraint has been included to prevent a cable snag
from damaging the connections to the blower vacuum.
Create a loop in the mains cable, feed it up through the slot
in the restraint and loop over the hook as shown.
Blowing function
Blowing may be used to remove leaves, and small debris from corners,
fences, walls, tree stands or any area dicult to access.
Before using the Blower/Vacuum, check that all components are securely
connected and that the shoulder strap has been adjusted to allow a
comfortable working position. Hold the Blower/Vacuum securely with
both hands.
Check that Blower/Vacuum is switched O before selecting required function
1. To select the blowing function Push the selection switch
downwards until it clicks into position. Make sure that
the Blower/Vacuum is pointing downwards.
2. Slide the on/o switch forwards to turn the Blower/
Vacuum on. Slowly move towards the leaves and debris
to be moved.
The performance of the Blower/Vacuum will be reduced
if the tubes become blocked. If this occurs switch o the
Blower/Vacuum, wait for the motor to fully stop and unplug
from the mains supply. Remove any blocking material.
Vacuum function
The vacuum mode allows the suction of small leaves and debris.
Before using the Blower/Vacuum, check that all components are securely
connected and that the shoulder strap has been adjusted to allow a
comfortable working position. Hold the Blower/Vacuum securely with
both hands.
Check that Blower/Vacuum is switched O before
selecting required function
1. To select the vacuum function turn the selection switch
upwards until it clicks into position. Make sure that the
Blower/Vacuum is pointing downwards.
2. Slide the on/o switch forwards to turn the blower
on. Slowly move towards the leaves and debris to be
vacuumed.
Vacuum performance will be reduced when the waste bag
becomes full. If this occurs switch o the blower, wait for the motor to fully stop and unplug from the
mains supply. Remove the bag and empty. Check for and clear any blockage in the bag adapter.
In vacuum mode the blower/Vacuum is equipped with a shredding device able to shed dry leaves and
garden waste at a ratio of 10:1.

Emptying the waste bag
Make sure that the Blower/Vacuum is switched o and unplugged from the mains before removing the
waste bag.
1. To remove the bag; unhook the bag from the blowing tube.
2. Press the clips that hold the waste bag adapter to the motor housing. Pull to release.

3. Unzip the waste bag and empty the contents.

OPERATING CAUTIONS
Inspect your Blower/Vacuum before each use.
Do not use if any part is damaged or broken or if any of the screws are loose.
After Use
Switch the Vacuum/Blower O.
Unplug from the mains.
Wipe with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
Store safely out of reach of children and pets.
Do not store outdoors.
Warranty
This appliance is intended only for household
use. It must be properly installed and operated
in accordance with these instructions. Failure
to do this will invalidate the warranty.
Your Tesco appliance is covered by a warranty
for 12 months from the date of purchase.
If a fault develops during this period, please
contact the Tesco help line on 0845 456 6767.

with you when you call. This warranty in no
way aects your consumer rights.
