Operation
GettingStarted
Removetheprotectivefoilfromthedisplay.
Openthebatterycompartmentandremovethebatteryinsulationstrip.Thedevicewill
soundthealarmandallLCDsegmentswillbedisplayedfortwosecondsasthedevice
switchesON.
Theindoortemperature,relativehumidity,andcorrespondingfacialsymbolwill
appear
onthedisplay.Thisindicatesthatthemeterisnowreadyforuse.
Note:DonotattachthesupportstanduntiltheswitchesfortheRadarAnimationandAlarm
Soundaresetasdesired.Thesetwoswitchesareconcealedbythesupportstandwhenitis
attached.Referto

24HourMoldRadarDisplay
The device measures the relative humidity % every 30 seconds and calculates the average
valueevery10minutes.Theinnovativemoldradardisplaygraphicallydepictstheaverageon
a24hourtimeline.
Thetime “0 h” representsthe valuefor the current hour. 1” represents the last hour, 3”
forthepast23hours,6”forthepast46hours,12”forthepast712hours,and24”for
thepast1324hours.
Therelativehumidityvaluesareshownongridlinesfrom15to85%.
Areadinghigherthan65%
RHindicatesapotentialformold.
RadarAnimationON/OFFSwitch
Removethesupportstandtoaccessthe RadarAnimationON/OFF switch on the back of the
unit(theswitch is on the rightidentifiedbythearrowicons).Slidetheswitch UP to activate
theRadarAnimation.SlidetheswitchDOWNtodeactivatetheRadarAnimation.
AlarmSoundON/OFFSwitch
RemovethesupportstandtoaccesstheAlarmSoundON/OFFswitchonthebackoftheunit
(the switch is on the left identified by the audio icons). Slide the switch UP to activate the
AlarmSoundbeeper.SlidetheswitchDOWNtodeactivatetheAlarmSoundbeeper.
If the relative humidity measurement is higher than 65%, the alarm beeper sounds for one
minute and the red warning light (front panel, right) flashes. Press any button to stop the
alarm sound. The warning light continues flashing until the measured humidity falls below
65%.
ComfortLevel
The device displays one of two facial indicators representing the comfort levelof the indoor
climate. A smiling face indicates an ideal relative humidity range (4060%). A frowning face
indicatesanoverlywetordrycondition(<40%or>60%).

DewPointTemperatureDisplay
PresstheDewPointbuttontodisplaythe DewPointTemperaturefor5seconds.Thedisplay
willreverttotheAirTemperature/RelativeHumiditydisplaymodeafter5seconds,
automatically.
TemperatureUnitsSelection
PressandholdtheDewPointbuttonfor5secondstotogglethetemperatureunits(°Cand°F).
Note: In MIN/MAX mode pressing and holding the Dew Point button clears the MIN or MAX
memory (depending on which one is selected) and does not change the temperature units.
EnsurethatMIN/MAXmodeisnotactivatedwhenchangingthetemperatureunits.
MinimumandMaximumValues
PresstheMIN/MAXbuttonandtheMAXiconwillappearalongwiththehighestindoor
temperatureandhumidityreadingscapturedsincethelastreset.
TodisplaytheMINvalues,presstheMIN/MAXbuttonagain.TheMINiconwillappear
alongwiththelowestindoortemperatureandhumidityreadingscapturedsincethelast
reset.
TheinstrumentwillautomaticallyexittheMIN/MAXmodeifnobuttonispressed.
Toexittothenormaldisplaymodemanually,presstheMIN/MAXbuttonagain(theMIN
andMAXindicatorswillswitchOFF).
TocleartheMINorMAXmemory,pressand
holdtheDewPointbuttonforthree
secondswhiletheMINorMAXiconisshowing. TheMINortheMAXindicatorwillflash
asitsmemoryiscleared.

The unit can be wall mounted using the wall mount access hole located on the rear of the
device.Usethesupportstandfortabletopuse.Notethatthehumiditylevelcanvarygreatly
accordingtolocation;mountthe unitasclosetotheareaofconcernaspossible.

Batteryreplacement
Removethebatteriesiftheproductisnottobeusedforlongperiods.Changethebatteries
whenthebatterysymbolappearsemptyonthedisplay.Opentherearbatterycompartmentand
inserttwonewbatteries1.5VAAAobservingcorrectpolarity.Closethebatterycompartment
beforeuse.
