Pressthebuttontoturnpoweronoroff.Themeterwillperformashortselftestwhenturnedon.
Takingmeasurements
1. Holdtheprobeintheareatobetested.
2. Allowadequatetimeforreadingstostabilize.
3. ReadthehumidityandtemperatureontheLCD.The%RH/TEMPbuttonallowstheusertochoose
whetherthetemperatureorthehumidityisdisplayedonthelargerdigits.Pressthe%RH/TEMPbutton
totogglethedisplayconfiguration.

willdisplay).TheTIMEbuttonallowstheusertoviewtheelapsedtimeforaparticularMaxorMinreadingin

DewPointtemperatureiscalculatedbythemeterbasedonhumidity/temperaturemeasurements.Toview
theDewPointtemperature,presstheDEWbuttonmomentarily.The‘DEW’displayiconwillappearonthe
rightsideoftheLCD.TheDewPointtemperaturewilldisplayonthebottom(larger)digits.Theupper
(smaller)digits
willdisplaytheregulartemperaturein°Cor°ForthehumidityinRH%(usethe%RH/TEMP
buttontotogglebetweenthetwo).
WETBULBtemperaturedisplay

ClearingTheMemory
1.Pressthebuttontopoweroffthemeter.
2.PressandholddowntheMEMkey,thenpressthekeytopoweronthemeter.Thedisplaywillshow
“CLr”indicatingthatthememoryhasbeenerased.
EnteringAReading
1. PresstheMEMkeytoenterareading.Thedisplaywillmomentarilyshowan“M”andthememorylocation
numberfrom1to99.
2. Whenthememoryisfull,thedisplaywillshow“FULL”.
DataRecall
1. Pressthe“READ”keytoentertheREADmode.TheLCDwillshowan“R”andthememoryaddressnumber.
2. Pressthe
keystoscrollthroughthememorylocations.
3. Press“DEW”or“WET”toviewthestoredDewPointorWetBulbtemperature.
4. Pressthe“READ”keytoexitthismode.
Relativemode
Measurementscanbedisplayedasadifferencebetweenactualhumidity/temperatureandstoredreference
values.Tostoreahumidity/temperaturereadinggroupasareference,presstheRELbuttonwhenthe
desiredreferencereadingsareontheLCD(thetriangleiconwillappearsteadyintheupperlefthandcorner
oftheLCD).
Allsubsequentdisplayedreadingswillbe“relative”tothestoredreferencevalue.Forexample,
ifthereferencevaluesare50.0%&100°Fandtheactualreadingsare53.0%&105°F,themeterwilldisplay
3.0%&5°F.ToexittheRelativemode,pressandholdtheRELbuttonuntilthe
triangleicondisappears.
AutomaticPowerOFF
Themeterautomaticallyshutsoffafteraprogrammedperiodoftime.Toprogramthetimeperiodpressand
holdtheTIMEbuttonwhileturningthemeteron.ReleasetheTIMEbuttonafterthemeterfinishesitsself
test.PresstheTIMEbuttontoscrollthroughtheeighttimeselections(shownon
thesmallerdigitsatthe
centeroftheLCD).Selectfromthefollowinglist:0(disabled),1,3,5,10,15,30,or59minutes.PresstheH
buttontostorethedesiredtime.

orabrasives.
2. Storethemeterinanareawithmoderatetemperatureandhumidity(refertotheoperatingandstorage
rangeinthespecificationschartearlierinthismanual).
BatteryReplacement
Whenthebatterypowerfallslow,the‘BT’symbolwillappearontheLCD.Repl acethesix(6)1.5‘AAA’
batteriesbyremovingtherear(center)batterycompartmentscrewandaccessingthebatterycompartment.
Observepolaritywhenplacingthebatteriesinthecompartment.Ensurethatthecompartmentcoveris
securelyfastened
whenfinished.
