1. RemovetheRHsensorprotectivecapbeforeuse.
2. Pressthepower
buttontoturnthemeteron.
3. Ifthe symbolappearsorthemeterdoesnotturnon,replacethebattery.
Note:OperationwithBluetoothenabledreducesbatterylifetolessthan8hours.Usingan
externalACadaptorisrecommendedwhenthemeterwillbeusedformonitoringoveralong
periodoftime.

iconwillflashwhilethemodeisactive.
3. Presstheorbuttontochangethetemperatureunits
4. Aimthelaserpointeratthesurface
tobemeasuredandreadthesurfacetemperaturein
thesecondarydisplay.
5. ReleasetheIRTbutton.Thelasttemperaturemeasuredandthelasericonwillremainon
thedisplayforapproximately10secondsbeforereturningtoambienttemperature
measurement.

onlythemaximumorminimumtemperaturemeasuredduring
anIRscan.
1. WiththemeterintheIRholdmode,presstheMODEbutton.“MIN”willappearinthe
display.
2. PresstheIRTbuttontoenabletheIRthermometer.Themeterwilldisplaytheminimum
temperaturemeasuredandwill
updateonlywhenalowertemperatureismeasured.
3. PresstheMODEbuttontwicetoenabletheMAXmodeandproceedasstatedabovefor
themaximumtemperature.
4. TheMAXorMINtemperatureisnotstoredwhenthefunctionisexited.Theunit
automaticallyexitsMAX/MINmodeafterapproximately10
seconds.

IRFieldofView
Ensurethatthedesiredtargetislargerthanthespotsize.Asthedistancefromanobject
increases,thespotsizeoftheareameasuredbythemeterbecomeslarger.Themeter’sfieldof
viewratiois8:1,meaningthatifthemeteris8inches(cm)fromthetarget,thediameter(spot)
oftheobjectundertestmustbeatleast1inch(cm).Referbelowtothefieldofviewdiagram.
WARNING:Donotdirectlyviewordirectthelaserpointerataneye.Lowpowervisiblelasers
donotnormallypresentahazard,butmaypresentsomepotentialforhazardifvieweddirectly
forextendedperiodsoftime.
CondensationMode
TheCondensationfeaturealertstheuserwhenthesurfacetemperatureasmeasuredbytheIR
thermometerisclosetoorhasreachedtheDewPointtemperature.
1. Pressthepower buttontoturnthemeteron.
2. SimultaneouslypresstheMOISTandRHbuttons.The“COND”iconwillappear.
3. Pointthemeteratasurface,presstheIRTbuttontomeasurethesurfacetemperature.The
smalldisplaywillindicatetheIRsurfacetemperatureandthelargedisplaywillindicate
the
differencebetweentheIRtemperatureandtheDewPointtemperature.
4. Themeterwillthenreportthepotentialforcondensationonthatsurfaceinthefollowing
manner
IfthetemperatureoftheIRTismorethan14°C(25°F)abovetheDewPoint,the
temperaturedifferenceshallbedisplayed,withnootherwarning.
IfthetemperatureoftheIRTis314°C(525°F)abovetheDewPoint,thetemperature
differenceshallbedisplayed,alongwithastandardCondensationIndicatoricon.The
metershallbeeponcetoconfirmthatthereadingisintheriskarea.
Ifthe
temperatureoftheIRTislessthan3°C(5°F)abovetheDewPoint,thetemperature
differenceshallbedisplayed,alongwithaflashingCondensationIndicatoricon.The
metershallbeeptwicetoconfirmthatthereadingisinthehighriskarea.

2. The“HIGH”iconwillappearonthedisplay.
3. Presstheorbuttontosetthehighlimitdesired.
4. Press
theSTORE/ALARMSETbuttontosavethevalueandproceedtotheLOWsetvalue.
5. Withthe“LOW”iconinthedisplay,Presstheorbuttontosetthelowlimitdesired.
6. PresstheSTORE/ALARMSETbuttontosavethevalueandtoreturntothenormal
mode.
7. Ifthehumiditymeasurementislowerthanthelowalarmsettingorhigherthanthehigh
alarmsetting,themeterwillbeeponceeverysecond.
MoistureAlarmSetProcedure
1. WithMOISTdisplayed,simultaneouslypresstheMOISTandMODEbuttons.
2. The“HIGH”iconwillappearonthedisplay.
3. Presstheorbuttontosetthehighlimitdesired.
4. PresstheSTORE/ALARMSETbuttontosavethevalueandproceedtotheLOWsetvalue.
5. With
the“LOW”iconinthedisplay,Presstheorbuttontosetthelowlimitdesired.
6. PresstheSTORE/ALARMSETbuttontosavethevalueandtoreturntothenormalmode.
7. IfthemoisturemeasurementislowerthantheLOWalarmsetting,themeterwillbeep
once
everysecond
8. IfthemoisturemeasurementishigherthantheHIGHalarmsetting,themeterwillbeep
continuously.

DataMemoryStorage
StoringReadings:
1. Withthedatatobesavedinthedisplay,presstheSTOREbuttonfor2secondsuntiltheunit
beeps.Thedatawillbesavedtothememorylocationindicated.Thenumericdisplayabove
theMEMiconwillthenadvancetothenextlocation.
2. Whenthe20
memorylocationsarefull,theunitwilloverwriteoldsavedreadingsstarting
withmemorylocation01.
RecallingStoredReadings:
1. Simultaneouslypressandreleasetheandbuttonstodisplaystoredreadings.The
numericdisplayabovetheMEMiconwillflashandthedatastoredinthatlocationwillbe
displayed.
2. Presstheorbuttontoscrollthroughthememorylocations.
