DB78TSM
The DB78TSM is an angled back box for surface horizontal wall mounting of the Ax68/78R,
camera series.
Angle Back box for IP camera surface mounting and camera wire management
Suitable for outdoor and indoor installations
Pre-drilled holes for surface mounting, 4 for securing to wire box, 3 for securing to the
wall.
Rubber weather proofing gasket with with three holes for securing to the camera.

In addition to this Quick Guide and a DB78TSM back box, the packing box includes:
1. Round Head Screw, ǫ´ (Machine Type) x3
2. Round Head Screw, 1” (Tapping Type) with O-ring x4 and anchors

Important:
In outdoor installations, add silicone to the back side along the edge and to the
3/4” NTP pipe threads (if using). Also tighten the
provided tapping screws to fully compress the ‘O’
ring.
1. Install DB78TSM for surface, ceiling or wall
mounting, as required. Take care that the
angle of the back box is pointing in the desired
direction. Use the 1” (Tapping Type) screws
and the accompanying anchors to secure the
DB78TSM to the desired surface.
2. Remove the camera cover. Use a Phillips
screwdriver to loosen the safety lock screw,
then grip the camera cover and flex on the side
towards the centre. Lift up to remove.

type, supplied mounting
hardware may be
inadequate.
Mounting hardware is
site-specific and may
need to be supplied by
the installer.
IMPORTANT
3. Use a Phillips screwdriver
to insert the 3 machine-
type screws provided with
the DB78TSM back box into
the screw holes on the back
box. Leave enough screw
length protruding to allow
for the camera body to be
rotated onto the screws.
4. Feed the camera cabling
through the angle-mount
NPT bracket opening. Note:
there are 2 openings to
choose from.
5. Slide the protruding
mounting screws through
three matching mounting
screw holes on the
camera body and rotate
the camera clockwise to
secure the camera body on
the mounting surface. Use
a Phillips screwdriver to
tighten the three mounting
screws in place.
6. Replace the
camera cover.
Match up the
safety lock
screw with the
screw hole on
the camera
body, then push
straight down
onto the camera
cover to engage
the clips. The
camera cover
will re-attach.
7. Use a Phillips
screwdriver to re-tighten the
safety lock screw.
