Safety Warnings
Read all the instructions

Damage
Please inspect the unit for
damage after unpacking.
Do not continue to operate
the unit if you are in any doubt
about it working normally, or if it
is damaged in any way - switch
o, and consult your dealer.
Location of Unit
The unit must be placed on a at
stable surface and should not be
subjected to vibrations.
Do not place the unit on sloped
or unstable surfaces as the unit
may fall o or tip over.
The mains socket must be
located near the unit and should
be easily accessible.
Temperature
Avoid extreme degrees of
temperature, either hot or cold.
Place the unit well away from
heat sources such as radiators or
gas/electric res.
Avoid exposure to direct sunlight
and other sources of heat.
Naked Flames
Never place any type of candle or
naked ame on the top of or near
the unit.
Moisture
To reduce the risk of re, electric
shock or product damage, do not
expose this unit to rain, moisture,
dripping or splashing. No objects
lled with liquids, such as vases,
should be placed on the unit. Do
not operate the unit with wet
hands, near water or other liquid.
If you spill any liquid into the
unit, it can cause serious damage.
Switch it o at the mains
immediately.
Ventilation
To prevent the risk of electric
shock or re hazard due to
overheating, ensure that curtains
and other materials do not
obstruct the ventilation vents.
Do not install or place this unit in
a bookcase, built-in cabinet or in
another conned space. Ensure
the unit is well ventilated.

Always disconnect the unit

Do not place the unit on or near
appliances which may cause
electromagnetic interference. If
you do, it may adversely aect
the operating performance of the
unit, and cause a distorted picture
or sound.
Earphones
Listening to loud
sounds for prolonged
periods of time may
permanently damage
your hearing.
Before putting on earphones, turn
the volume down then put the
earphones on and slowly increase
the volume until you reach a
comfortable listening level.
Supervision
Children should be supervised to
ensure that they do not play with
the unit.
Never let anyone especially
children push anything into the
holes, slots or any other openings
in the case - this could result in a
fatal electric shock.

Service
To reduce the risk of electric
shock, do not remove screws. The
unit does not contain any user-
serviceable parts. Please leave all
maintenance work to qualied
personnel.
Do not open any xed covers
as this may expose dangerous
voltages.
Built-in Battery Care
Your product is powered by a
built-in rechargeable battery.
The battery can be charged and
discharged hundreds of times,
but will eventually wear out.

Unplug the charger from the
electrical plug and the product
when not in use.
Do not leave a fully charged
battery connected to a charger,
since overcharging may shorten
its lifetime.
If left unused, a fully charged
battery will lose its charge over
time.
Leaving the product in hot or
cold places, such as in a closed
car in the summer and winter
conditions, will reduce the
capacity and lifetime of the
battery.
Always try to keep your device in
a cool, moisture-free environment
that’s less than 32°C. A product
with a hot or cold battery may not
work temporarily, even when the
battery is fully charged. Battery
performance is particularly
limited in temperatures well
below freezing.
If you plan to store your device for
longer than six months, charge
the battery for an hour every six
months to keep it fresh.
The unit should be fully
recharged after using the device
each time. This will keep the
health of the battery.

The battery used in this product
may present a risk of re or
chemical burn if mistreated.
Do not attempt to open the
product or replace the battery.
It is built-in and not changeable.
Use of other batteries may
present a risk of re or explosion
and the warranty will be
terminated.
Only recharge your battery with
the provided approved USB cable
designated for this product.
Dispose of batteries according to
local regulations. Please recycle
when possible. Do not dispose
as household waste or in a re as
they may explode.
Batteries may explode if
damaged.
Maintenance
Ensure to unplug the unit from
the power supply before cleaning.
Do not use any type of abrasive
pad or abrasive cleaning solutions
as these may damage the unit’s
surface.
Do not use liquids to clean the
unit.
This equipment is a Class

been designed in such a
way that it does not require
a safety connection to
electrical earth.

First Charge / Recharge the Battery
The unit has a built-in rechargeable Lithium (Li) battery. The battery is
charged automatically whenever the unit is connected to a computer or a
USB charging device with the USB cable. When the unit is in o mode, the
screen display will show charging ##“ to indicate the unit is in charging.
charging 100“ will appear when the unit is fully charged.
It takes 4 hours (approx.) to fully charge the
battery.
A fully charged unit has up to 10 hours of
playback time at 1/2 volume level.

Connections
Using Earphones
Turn down the volume before
connecting the earphones. Slowly
increase the volume with the earphones
on until you reach your desired volume.
Long-term exposure to loud music may cause hearing
damage. It is best to avoid extreme volume when using
earphones (aerial), especially for extended periods of time.
Before switching on the unit, make sure the earphones
(aerial) are fully extended and completely inserted into the
socket.
While continuously press the + volume and the unit reaches
the volume safety cap, the display shows “VOLUME
WARNING, ENTER TO ACCEPT!”. Press ENTER button to exit
and then press VOLUME+ button if you still want to increase
the volume.
Using other headphones may aect performance of unit.
Some headphones with integrated microphones may have
low volume and aect reception.
Basic Operation
Powering ON/OFF
Make sure the battery power level is sucient and the earphones (aerial)
are connected.
Slide downwards the POWER/HOLD switch to switch the unit on.
Slide downwards the POWER/HOLD switch again to switch the unit o.
The POWER/HOLD switch will revert to centre after every slide.

Selecting Modes
Press the MODE Button to switch between DAB or FM mode.
Key Lock
Slide upwards the POWER/HOLD switch to activate the key lock
function.
Slide it downwards to the centre position to deactivate the key lock
function.
Adjusting Volume
Press the + or Button to increase/decrease the volume.
Automatically Setting the Clock
The clock will be updated automatically if you can receive DAB/FM signal in
your location.
In order to synchronise to the current local time, you must leave it on the
DAB/FM station for a period of time.
System Settings
Sleep
This function enables your unit to switch to standby mode by itself after a
set sleep time.
1. Press and hold INFO/MENU to display the menu.
2. Press to select <System>, and then press ENTER to conrm. Press
buttons to select <Sleep>, and then press ENTER to conrm.
3. Press to select 15, 30, 45, 60 or 90 minutes, and then press ENTER
to conrm. To cancel the sleep time, press to select Sleep o, and
then press ENTER to conrm.
4. To see how much sleep time is left, repeat step 1 and 2.

Setting the Time and Date
1. Press and hold INFO/MENU to display the menu.
2. Press to select <System>, and then press ENTER to conrm. Press
buttons to select <Time>, and then press ENTER to conrm.
3. Press the buttons to select the option below:
Set Time/Date
Press buttons to adjust the time and date, then
press ENTER to confirm.
Auto update
Press buttons to select Update from Any, DAB,
FM or No update, then press ENTER to confirm.
Set 12/24 hour
Press buttons to select Set 24 hour or Set 12
hour, then press ENTER to confirm.
Set date format
Press buttons to select MM-DD-YYYY or
DD-MM-YYYY, then press ENTER to confirm.
Backlight
1. Press and hold INFO/MENU and then press buttons to select
<System>. Press ENTER to conrm.
2. Press buttons to select <Backlight> and then press ENTER to
conrm.
3. Press buttons to select <High>, <Medium> and <Low> and then
press SELECT to conrm.
In battery mode, when the unit is idle for 10 seconds, the
backlight will dim. Press any button to light it up again.

Factory Reset
When you move the unit to another part of the country, your pre-tuned
and stored DAB/FM stations may no longer be available and you might
need to reset the unit back to its original factory settings. To perform a
factory reset, please do the following:
1. Press and hold INFO/MENU and then press buttons to select
<System>. Press ENTER to conrm.
2. Press buttons to select <Factory Reset> and then press ENTER to
conrm.
3. The display will show “Factory Reset?. Press buttons to select
<Yes>.
4. Press ENTER button to start the system reset, Restarting… will show
on the display. After the reset is complete, the unit will enter Standby
mode if it is using mains power, or will start DAB full scan if it is using
battery power.
After the factory reset, all the tuned stations, DAB & FM preset
stations will be erased.
Software Version
1. Press and hold INFO/MENU and then press buttons to select
<System>. Press ENTER to conrm.
2. Press buttons to select <SW version>, then press ENTER to
conrm.
3. The software version will show on the display.
4. Press INFO/MENU to exit.

DAB Operation
If the unit is connected to the mains power for the rst time, the unit will
show Welcome! Digital Radio“ and then “00:00:00 charging ##”. Slide
downwards the POWER/HOLD button to switch on the unit and perform
auto scan. During the scan the display will show Scanning… together
with a slide bar that indicates the progress of the scan and the number of
stations that have been found so far.
Once the scan has nished, the unit will select the rst alphanumerically
found station. To explore the found stations, press and then ENTER to
conrm selection.
Full Scan
The full scan will search for the entire DAB Band III channels. After the scan
has nished, the rst alphanumerically found station will be automatically
selected.
Full scan will not replace the DAB stations in memory. If you want
to remove all the previously scanned stations, factory reset is
required.
1. To activate full scan, press and hold INFO/MENU, and then press
repeatedly to select <Full scan>. Press the ENTER button to conrm.
The display will show Scanning… and a progressing slide bar.
2. All the stations that have been found will be stored automatically. To
explore and listen to the found stations, press and then ENTER to
conrm selection.
Manual Tuning
Manual tuning can help add stations that were missed by full scan.
1. Press and hold INFO/MENU, and then press repeatedly to select
<Manual tune>. Press ENTER to conrm.
2. Press to scroll through the DAB channels, which are numbered from
5A to 13F.
3. Press ENTER to select the station that you would like to listen to.

Prune Invalid
You may remove all unavailable stations from the list.
1. During DAB mode, press and hold INFO/MENU button, and then press
repeatedly to select <Prune>. Press ENTER to conrm.
2. Press buttons to select <Yes> to conrm delete. Or select <No> to
cancel.
Presetting Stations
You can store up to 10 of your favourite DAB stations to the memory. This
will enable you to access your favourite stations quickly and easily.
1. To store a preset, you must rst be listening to the station that you
would like to save. Press and hold PRESET. The display will show <Save
to P#>.
2. Press to select the desired preset station number and then press
ENTER to conrm.
3. The station will be stored and the screen will show Preset # stored”.
Recalling a Preset Station
1. Once you have saved a station, you can recall it by pressing the PRESET
button.
2. Press to select the desired preset station number
3. Press ENTER to conrm.
4. If you choose a preset station number that has not been allocated a
station, “Preset Empty will be displayed.
DAB Display Modes
Every time you press INFO/MENU, the display will show the following
display modes.
Scrolling text
This is a scrolling message giving real-time information, e.g. song titles,
news headlines, etc.
Signal Strength
This show a slide bar to indicate the signal strength, the stronger the signal,
the longer the bar will be from left to right.

Programme Type
This describes the style or “genre of the
programme that is belong broadcast.
Ensemble
This display the name of the multiplex that
contains the station you are listening to. A
multiplex is a collection of radio stations
that are bundled and transmitted on one
frequency. There are national and local
multiplexes. Local ones contain stations that
are specic to that area.
Frequency
This display the frequency of the present
station, such as “11C 220.352MHz.
Signal Error
This displays a number showing the error
rate. If the number is 0, it means the signal
received is error free and the signal strength
is strong. If the error rate is high, it is
recommended to re-orient the aerial or re-
position the unit.
Bitrate and codec
This shows the radio mode and the digital
audio bit rate being received.
Battery Status
This shows the battery status/capacity.
Time
This display the current time provided
automatically by the broadcaster.
Date
This display the current date provided
automatically by the broadcaster.
The ECO Power feature enables
the unit to switch into Standby
mode (while using AC power) or
switch o (while in battery mode)
automatically after there is no
DAB signal for 15 minutes.

FM Operation
Switching from DAB to FM Mode
To switch the unit from DAB to FM mode, press MODE once.
Auto Scan
To search for an FM station, press and then press SCAN button, or press
and hold to start the forward or reverse scanning. ”Scanning will
show on the display. Once a station has been found, the scanning will stop
automatically.
Manual Scan
To search for FM stations manually, press repeatedly until your desired
frequency is reached.
With FM radio, it may be necessary to ne tune each station by
pressing repeatedly. Each press will adjust the frequency by
0.05 MHz. If reception is still poor, adjust the position of the aerial
or try moving the radio to another location.
Scan Setting
This is a scanning option to scan all stations, or just scan stations with
strong signal.
1. Press and hold INFO/MENU and then press to select <Scan
setting>. Press ENTER to conrm.
2. Press to select <All stations> or <Strong stations only>. Press
ENTER to conrm.

Audio Setting
FM is able to search for Stereo or Mono stations.
1. Press and hold INFO/MENU and then press to select <Audio
setting>. Press ENTER to conrm.
2. Press to select <Stereo allowed> or <Forced mono>. Press ENTER
to conrm.
The unit will automatically switch between stereo and mono
when <Stereo allowed> is selected depending on the signal
strength, but you can override this and switch this function
manually. This is helpful when receiving poor signal reception.
Presetting Stations
You can store up to 10 of your favourite stations to the memory. This will
enable you to access your favourite stations quickly and easily.
1. To store a preset, you must rst be listening to the station that you
would like to save. Press and hold PRESET. The display will show <Save
to P#>
