QUICK START GUIDE
2. Normal food amount (from 350 to 800 kcal
per dish) — before you eat (or drink anything
that contains abovementioned amount of
calories, such as soda or juice) please push
the button on the side of the device for 2 sec-
onds until your GoBe vibrates and the display
reads ‘FOOD’.
3. Short meal time with big number of
calories (more than 800 kcal, fast food din-
ner f.ex. (burger + fries + soda + sauce + ice
cream or pie)) — push the button 2 times:
before you eat and then right after that.
4. Long meal time (1 dish consumed during
a long period of time) — if you continue to eat
within 20-30 minutes, please push the button
again.
5. Long meal (f.ex. several dishes, salad/
main cuisine/restaurant dessert) — please
push the button again before you start every
following dish.
Do not worry if you forget to push the button:
GoBe asks you if you have had a meal the
next time you sync with your app.
!!! Be sure to conrm any times you ate,
so you can get the most accurate calorie
intake measurement.
Useful information about your body:
1. Small food amount (less than 350 kcal) —
no need to push the button. Please wait for
the app to ask you conrmation of whether
you have eaten during this period of time, and
then tap ‘Yes’
If you forget to push the button, GoBe will ask
you if you had a meal the next time you sync
with your app. Be sure to conrm any times
you ate, so you can get the most accurate
calorie intake measurement.
2. On average, our bodies can digest 500-
700 calories in two hours. If you eat more than
that, it will take longer than 2 hours for your
body to digest it and for GoBe to register your
calorie intake. In some cases, it might take
several days for a very large meal to be fully
digested!
3. Salt slows down the digestion process.
For example, an average meal at a fast food
restaurant (burger + fries + soda + sauce)
has about 1000 calories. Because of the large
amount of salt and calories, it will take ~5
hours to digest this meal.
4. Important information about the calorie
intake button: Glucose concentrations uctu-
ate throughout the day whether you’re eating
or not. GoBe detects all changes of glucose
in the body, both from calorie intake and from
fasting glucose uctuations. Pressing the
calorie intake button lets us conrm that uc-
tuations during a given period of time are due
to calorie intake. If you accidentally press
the button for longer than 2 seconds, just
answer “No” when you sync with the app and
it asks you to conrm whether you ate during
this period of time. If you answer, “Yes,” for
a period of time when you didn’t eat, Healbe
FLOW Technology’s algorithms will interpret
your body’s glucose uctuations as if they are
due to calorie intake, and your app will show
an inaccurate calorie intake measurement.
