Installation
– Please take care when moving the product. It is heavy and
we recommend that a minimum of two people lift it. You
will find it easiest to move the product when it is tilted
backwards and pushed into position.
– Do not lift the product by the door handles.
– Never place the product horizontally on the ground.
– Install and level the product in a well ventilated room
suitable for its size and use.
– The product and the doors are heavy. To avoid damaging
the doors or the product, changing the doors must be
done by two people.
– Keep ventilation openings in the product clear of
obstruction. Leave a space of at least 20 cm above and 10
cm around the product.
– Do not install the product in a damp area or location
where it might be splashed with water. Clean and dry any
water splashes or stains with a soft clean cloth.
– Do not install the product in direct sunlight or near heat
sources (e.g. stoves, heaters).
– Before connecting the product, make sure that the
information on the data plate (voltage and connected load)
matches that of the mains electricity supply. If in doubt,
consult a qualified electrician.
– The product is operated by a 220-240 V, 50 Hz power
supply. Abnormal voltage fluctuation may cause the product
to fail to start, or damage to the temperature control or
compressor, or there may be an abnormal noise when
operating. In this case, mount an automatic regulator.
– Use a separate earthed socket for the power supply which
is easily accessible. The product must be earthed.
– The product’s power cable is fitted with a 3-cord
(grounding) plug that fits a standard 3-cord (grounded)
socket. Never cut off or dismount the third pin (grounding).
– Do not connect the product to the mains electricity supply
using an extension lead or multi-plug adapter.
– Ensure that the power cable is not trapped by the product.
Do not step on the power cable.
– Do not allow the power cable to be crushed or bent
excessively.
– Do not let the power cable touch or pass over a hob or
other hot surface.
– A damaged power cable/plug can cause fire or give you an
electric shock. Should the power supply cable need to be
replaced, this must be carried out by an approved service
engineer. John Lewis & Partners declines any liability should
this safety measure not be observed.
