Installation Instructions
1
Install the drywall and cut a 6” diameter hole so
that the captive nuts on the frame are visible.
Place mud-ring over the ceiling hole with flat side toward
the drywall, and the chamfered through holes away
from the drywall. Insert screws (4x) into the chamfered
side of the through holes and into the captive nuts on
the frame – DO NOT TIGHTEN.
Insert the Alignment Tube through the Mud-Ring
and up into the frame, tighten Screws (4x). Remove
the Alignment Tube and use for the next fixture, or
discard.
Insert the cardboard Paint Shield into the reflector
groove in the Mud-Ring. Do not push through the inner
diameter of the Mud-Ring.

Install the frame according to the complete installation instructions for the LED Commercial Series, 4” & 5” provided with this fixture
or available online at atlantic-lighting.com/main/support/installation_instructions. Follow all safety precautions and wiring diagrams
provided. When installation and wiring is complete, the drywall can be installed and the optional Trimless finish kit may be attached as
detailed below.

The perforated portion of the Mud-Ring to be covered
during the “mud” process to the top of the Mud Lip and
feathered outward for a smooth ceiling.
After all sanding and painting is complete, remove the
Paint Shield and clean the inside edge of the Mud Lip
prior to installation of the reflector.

The standard hanger bars supplied with the housing has a notch cut out of the bottom so it can sit on top of the T-grid then simply attach
a wire with the holes provided as shown in Fig. 4.
The other option is using a set of 517 Caddy bars or equal
which are designed to snap onto the top of the T-bar for quick
installation as shown in Fig. 5.

1. As seen in Fig. 1 and 2, extend the hanger bars until they meet the ceiling joist. Frame to be install flush to the top side of ceiling
material. Drive in the self fastener at the end of the hanger bar. Then for a more permanent fastener install a screw or a nail using
the holes provided. For installation of this fixture in a grid or drop ceiling refer to Figures 3 and 4 below.
Frame must be rigid and not allow the fixture to lift while reflector is being installed.
2. Remove the junction box cover and wire in fixture per your local codes. When wiring is complete make sure to attach the junction
box cover securely with the attached clip.
3. LED module should be protected from dust or paint during the ceiling installation process.
4. After the ceiling is installed, the reflector is to be secured to the LED module and inserted into the ceiling opening. Remove any
protective covering from the LED module and position the module on top of the reflector clips with reflector screws accesible.
(as shown in Fig1.A ) Align the key-slots in the reflector over the two reflector screws on the LED module and tighten the screws to
secure. Push reflector up into the ceiling opening untill flange is flush against the ceiling.
5. IMPORTANT: THIS FIXTURE MAY BE EQUIPPED WITH A VOLTAGE SPECIFIC THERMAL DEVICE AND MAY ONLY BE
WIRED ACCORDING TO THE VOLTAGE THAT WAS ORDERED. DO NOT CHANGE THE VOLTAGE SPECIFIED.
