Rear Panel & GPIO Connectors
NOTE: To avoid electrical shock, we strongly suggest that connecting DC power to
ID5101 after ID5101 has installed on the wall.
Due to the view angle of the camera is limited, therefore the installation position for
Video Indoor Station is crucial. In order to get a better view, the view angle of this door
phone should be around 105. Also the height of the lens position is suggested at the
height of 155 cm according to building conditions.

Procedures
1. Screw the Back Plate on the wall.
Please pull out the DC wires and Ethernet cable pass through the back plate. Then,
connect them with the Video Indoor Station after securing the Back Plate on the wall.
If necessary, please connect the Earth wire to the screw as diagram below.
For more GPIO application, please refer to Safety/Security Application in next page
2. Connect the DC +12V wires and Ethernet cable.
Plug the DC wire connector of ID5101 to Power-Connecting connector, and connect
Ethernet cable to ID5101 as diagram below.
Be careful when you are connecting the DC wires, please check the power condition and
turn off the general power switch before you start to connect the wires.

GPIO connectors and I/O Pin Assignment and Wire Color
There are three GPIO connectors on the rear panel of your Video Indoor Station.
These GPIO connectors are used to connect with Safety and Security devices.
Before you begin to connect other devices to the ID5101, the I/O wires and their
colors for GPIO connectors are illustrated as pictures below.

Please reserve the space for junction wiring in the wall, you may refer to the embedded box
dimension as diagram below.
After connecting the wires and cables properly,
then screw the 2 screws that come with the
package into the front panel. Please double check
all the installation procedures again, then you may
power on the general power switch to start the
configuration procedures.

The ID5101, Video Indoor Station, provides 8 Input ports and 4 Output port for your house
to set up Home Safety and Security; you may refer the following examples for each
application.
Please connect the adapter which comes with the package to the DC +12V as below and
then connect your end devices according to your requirement.
The illustration (diagram) shows you how to use the first GPIO connector and wire to
connect Adapter and two Relay Boards for Lighting Control.
The illustration (diagram) shows you how to use the first GPIO connector and wire to
connect DC power and Relay Board for ALARM device.
Both diagram and photo of Magnetic Switch installation show you how to use the second
GPIO connector to connect with Magnetic Switches, and you can connect up to four
magnetic switches accordingly based on the diagram or photo.
The status of the following safety devices will be shown on the main screen. The following
diagrams show you how to use 3rd GPIO connector to connect CO Sensor, Emergency
Button, and Gas Detector.

There are two ways to configure ID5101. One is “Configure via Web UI”, the other is
“Configure on ID5101”.
This section describes how to configure your ID5101 with Web User Interface. This UI
also provides remote management capability to service provider.
NOTE: After Log in Web UI, Language on the first page allows you to select
language “English” or “Traditional Chinese” and let the language be
displayed on your ID5101 GUI.
Item Description
MAC Address
This is a quasi-unique identifier attached to most network
adapters.
IP Type
The default value is DHCP Client.
There are three options: DHCP Client, Static IP and PPPoE.
A. DHCP Client: The system will automatically assign you an
IP address.
B. Static IP: you have to input IP address, Subnet Mask,
Default Gateway, Primary DNS and Secondary DNS data.
C. PPPoE: This allows you to set Internet connection with
User Name and Password.

This name will show on the IP phone of called parties. You
can fill in the preferred name here.

User Number
You may fill in the phone number here, normally it is provided
by service provider. To work with IP PBX, you may fill in
extension number. For example, 807

You may fill in your account name of SIP service in this field.

You may fill in the password of your SIP service account.

SIP Proxy Server
Service
You may select “Enable” or “Disable” the SIP Proxy Server in
the dropdown menu.
NOTE: For Peer-to-Peer mode, both devices (ID5101 and
remote device) need to select Disable in the
dropdown menu. And, fill in each other’s IP address.
IP Address
You may fill in the IP address of SIP Proxy Server in this field.
SIP Registrar Server
IP Address
You may fill in the IP address of SIP Registrar Server here.
Registration
Expire Time
The default is 3600 seconds.
Protocol
You may select network communication protocol of the SIP
service here. There are 2 options: UDP and TCP.
Default setting is UDP protocol.
SIP TOS
You may enable Tag-of-Service of SIP protocol here.
RTP TOS
You may enable Tag-of-Service of RTP protocol here.

This webpage is used to configure Safety and Security devices.
There are 8 Input ports (DI1~DI8) and 4 Output ports (DO1~DO4) available on
ID5101 GPIO module.
Moreover, DI1-DI4 are for MS (Magnetic Sensors), DI5-DI8 are for CO sensor,
Emergency Button, Gas detector, and Door Dell.
DO1-DO3 are for Lighting, Lighting, Alarm. (DO4 is reserved).

ITEM Description
Device Name
In the drop-down menu, select the device name that your
ID5101’s GPIO port is connected to.
Triggered by
For 8 Input ports only, user may select “Positive” or
“Negative”.
NOTE: This means user can define the light status (Green
or Red) on your ID5101 Safety Sub-menu.
En/Disable
Select “Enable” or “Disable”
User may select “Disable” when the ID5101’s GPIO port is
not connected to any device.
NOTE: If user doesn’t install some safety device, we suggest SI select “Disable”
so that the safety device will be displayed as gray light on ID5101.
This section describes how to set up your Video Indoor Station. You may press Setting
soft-function key to enter this Setting page. There are 8 major items for configuration:
You may use [ ] and [ ] keys to select preferred item, and then press Enter key [ ]
or press Enter soft-function key to take further actions.
NOTE: 1. Network Setting, SIP Setting, Stream Setting, and Service Setting are
protected by password. (Default password: 1234)
2. This setting password is different from Security password.
This Network Setting allows you to set
up the important parameters of
network connection, and it is protected
by password.
NOTE: You need to enter password to
enter “Network Setting”. Default
password is “1234”. You may
change password by using Chg
Password soft-function key.
ITEM Description
Net Type
This item allows you to select type of IP address of this
device. There are 3 options DHCP, Static IP and PPPoE, the
default is DCHP.
DHCP - If you wish to connect this device to an exist
network and get dynamic IP address from the DHCP server,
please select this one. You will see all other items in this
mode are grayed out. In most of cases, DHCP Client is used
for connecting LAN (Local-Area-Network).
Static IP - If you wish to use Static IP address to
connect to network, you may select this one. You may get
Static IP when you applying SIP service from carriers or
operators. You will see last 2 items for PPPoE are grayed
out.
PPPoE - This selection is for connecting ADSL modem
directly. Your phone will trigger ADSL model to connect to
Internet automatically when you are dialing phone number.

You may fill in IP address here if Static IP is selected.
Subnet Mask
You may fill in Subnet Mask address here if Static IP is
selected.
Default
Gateway
You may fill in default gateway address here if Static IP is
selected.
Primary DNS
You may fill in primary DNS server address here if Static IP is
selected.
Secondary DNS
You may fill in secondary DNS server address here if Static
IP is selected.
PPPoE Account
You may fill in PPPoE account ID or name here if PPPoE is
selected in IP type selection.
PPPoE
Password
You may fill in PPPoE account password here if PPPoE is
selected in IP type selection.
Web UI
This item allows you enable or disable the
Web-User-Interface HTTP service. Web UI will be not
available if disabled.
This setting allows you to se up necessary parameters of SIP services and it is password
protected. Default password is “1234”. You may change password by using Chg
Password soft-function key.
ITEM Description
Phone Number
The phone number of your ID5101. Normally it is provided by
service provider. You can also set an extension number here
if connecting to an IP PBX.
Display Name
Initial of Display Name. This name will show on the IP phone
of called parties. You may fill in the preferred name here.
Account
You may fill in your account name of SIP service here.
Password
You may fill in the password of your SIP service account
here.
Mode
This item allows you to select the working model of SIP
service. Select “Server Mode” mode if this phone is
connected to a SIP server or IP PBX. Default setting is
Peer-to-Peer Mode”.
Protocol
You may select the correct low level communication protocol
here. There are 2 options: UDP and TCP. You have to
confirm which one the service is using from your service
provider. Default setting is UDP.
SIP Proxy
You may fill in IP address or domain name of the SIP Proxy
Server here.
SIP Registrar
You may fill in IP address or domain name of SIP Registrar
Server here.
NOTE 1: To open the door by pressing the “ # ” keypad on ID5101 Video Indoor Station,
the door must have been installed “Electrical-door Lock”.
NOTE 2: ID5101 RFID Internal Module, ISO 14443A Compliant/ 13.56 MHz RFID Mifare.
NOTE: For more detailed information, the setting of Video Indoor Station and the Web UI
Configuration, please refer to the ID5101 SI Manual.
