1-5-2-3 08A Extension Card
It is made up of peripheral processor, switching net, 8 extension port
(4 ports for key phone or single phone and 4 ports for single phone.) and all kinds of control unit . Every
board can be connected to 8 extension and 4 key phones at most.
1-5-2-4 08B Extension Card
It is made up of switching net, 8 extension port(only for single line phone set only) and all kinds of control
uni t circui t. Ev e ry ca r d can be connected t o 8 e x tens i on. I t is ins e r ted int o EXP 6 -EXP1 3 slo t at M a in Uni t and
any slot at expansion unit.
1-6 Installation Process
1-6-1 Installation Environment
Fixing Method:
The unit can be placed on table or hung on the wall. Below figure is for wall-mounted .

install the system in such environments as follows:
1. Where it’s sunlit, too hot, too cold or watery. Proper temperature range: 0℃~36.
2. Where
there is heart source which gives out corrosive gases and damages the system.
3. Where it often shakes.
4. Where it is dusty or close to water and oil.
5. Where it’s near broadcast antenna.
6. Where it’s crowded with equipment (Room for heat emission should be kept).

1-6-2 System Configuration
System configuration: Trunk. Line ( 4-8), extension ( 16-32 ) including 4~12 key phones.
The expanding cards type include followings:
M01 Mother Board.
M02 multi-function card.
08A Extension Card.
08B Extension Card.
40P Trunk Line Card.

1-6-3 Prevention for Installment and Connection
a) User should wear anti-static ring or only touch the board terminal while inserting board. And the cards
are not allowed to put together with static things.
b) Telephone cables can not be allowed to paralleled with Power Supply Line . In order to avoid lightening
striking ,user should wire them inside room.
c) User only can insert cards after shutting off power. And should check stability and position before power
on.
1-6-4 Key Phone Connection
We provide user with 4-wire cable for Key Phone. If user want to make a new cable, please follow the below
diagram :
Wire1 and 2 are for analog signal , wire3 and 4 are for digital signal.

1-6-6 Back-up Battery Connection ( 2Pcs 12V/7AH)
When system power off , back-up battery can make the system work normally. 24V battery is allowed
(eg.: connect 2pcs of 12V battery).
Backup Time: 4 ~8 hours.

1-6-7 External Loud Speaker (for PAGING)
In Multi-function card, there is an output port for External Loud Speaker. User can page at any extension
when system is linked with this port, through 3.5mm standard audio connector.
1-6-8 External Music Source
User can replace the built-in on hold music from external source music such as MP3, CD (3.5mm
standard audio connector).External MUSIC port is in Multi-function card.
1-6-9 Ground Requirement
In order to avoid thunder storm, the system must connect to ground and the ground resistance is less than
5 Ω. Meanwhile, the ground cable must be separately and reliable.

CAUTION:
For the sake of personal safety and communication quality, grounding of KTS
should be reliable. Or else, the lightning-proof device inside would fail to work.
Resistance to ground should be less than 5 ohm.
The ground point should be directly connected to ground by cable (not linked to
other ground points).

2-3. Before Access System Program
1. All setting should be after entering System Program status.
2. How to access into System Program status?
Key Phone:
On-hook
press “ CHK” key three times
input system password ( default “1234567”)
A long confirm beep will hear
then input relevant program code number(00~36).
Single Line Phone
Off-hook,
Input “##787” + password 1234567,
A long confirm beep will hear ,
then input relevant program code number(00~36).

3. After enter into system program status, input code number from “00 ”to “36”. Then set relative digit
parameter. And some item or function only can be set by Key Phone.
4. How to set digit parameter ? ( “X” means digit “0-9”and it is available only for key phone.)
When you see “XXXXX” ,“XXXXXXX” or “XXXXXXXXXX” , you can input digit parameter directly, “_” is
a separator sign of all sub-items.

system program status. Then choose to exit programming status or repeat procedure “3, 4, 5 ” ( Some
functions need set multi- items.)
7… Exit completely from program status : Press “ CLEAR” twice at Key Phone or hook on at single
line phone in system program state.

C: 0-1 (Auto Attendant mode: 0 - disable, 1 - enable)
D: 0-3 (Auto Attendant valid time: 0 - unavailable at Day/Night time , 1 - available at Day Time only, 2 - available at Night

E: 0-1 (Line restriction: 0 - restricted line, 1 - unrestricted line)
Unrestricted line means that this outside line is unrestricted when the extension use this line to dial any outside number;

3. The setting for ringing times is related to settings in program 08.The time to start reckoning in this program is related to
the call accounting program.

F: 0-1 (Caller do not dial any number during Auto Attendant announcement, call will transfer to operator :
0 - No, cut the line if do not dial 1 – Yes, transfer to Operator phone)
G: 0-1 (Call Transfer method from key phone to extension: 0 – should press the TFR key then press extension number,
1 -press extension number directly to transfer the call, without press TRF)
H: 0-3 (Start timer of Call Charge Account: 0 - immediately, I - delay 10 sec, 2 - delay 30 sec, 3 - delay 60 sec)
I: 0-7( Trunk line integrated speed-select duration, 0~7 seconds.)
J: 0-1 (Restricted line pickup preference: 0 - enable, 1 – disable, if enable, then press “9” to select Restricted Line, press
