Trust Gamer Network Kit PCI allows you to connect your computer to a network and access the Internet. It supports IEEE 802.3 – 10BASE-T, IEEE 802.3u – 100BASE-TX, ANSI/IEEE 802.3 Nway Auto-negotiation, and IEEE 802.3x Full Duplex Flow Control protocols. It has a 32-bit PCI 2.1, 2.2 interface and RJ-45 media interface. The recorded capacity is 0.8 Watt. Two LED indicators, Link and Activity, provide information about the network connection status.

1. Introduction
The instruction manual is intended for users of the Trust Gamer Kit PCI. Some knowledge of
computers is necessary to install this product. If you have any questions, please consult one of
the Trust Customer Care Centers. You can find more information at the back of this instruction
manual.
This instruction manual describes how to install the software and how to solve problems that may
be encountered during the installation.
A detailed instruction manual for this product is contained on the CD-ROM. See chapter 3 for
instructions on how to read this manual.
2. Installation
Note: Files will be copied from the original Windows CD-ROM during installation.
Make sure that you use the same Windows CD-ROM that you used to install
Windows, otherwise Windows may no longer work.
2.1 Installing the network card
Note: Do not carry out any maintenance on your computer whilst it is switched on.
Prevent personal injury and damage to the device by removing the
computer's power plug from the wall socket.
Note: Install the drivers for the network card before connecting it to the network.
See chapter 2.2.
1. Turn off your PC.
2. Remove the plug from the wall socket.
3. Remove the computer casing (if necessary, read your computer's instruction manual).
4. Remove the metal cover plate from the PCI slot.
5. Insert the network card into the free PCI slot and screw the card firmly into place.
6. Close the PC.
7. Turn on the computer.

2.2.1 Windows 95, 98 and 2000
1. Start Windows.
2. A network card will be detected automatically. Click on 'Next'.
3. Insert the CD-ROM containing the drivers into your CD-ROM drive.

4. Select Windows to search in a specific location. Give the location as shown in table 1.
Click on <Enter>.
5. The driver will be found. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
6. Restart your computer.

information. If necessary, also refer to your computer's instruction manual.
2.2.2 Windows NT 4.0
1. Start Windows NT and log on as ‘Administrator’.
2. Insert the CD-ROM containing the drivers into your CD-ROM drive.
3. Double click on the ‘Network’ icon in the ‘Control Panel’.
4. Select the 'Adapters' tab and click on 'Add'.
5. Click on 'Have Disk...'.
6. Give the location as shown in table 1. Click on 'OK'.
7. Select the adapter and click on 'OK' to continue. Click on 'Next' to continue.
8. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
9. Restart Windows NT4 after completing the installation.

information. If necessary, also refer to your computer's instruction manual.
2.3 Connecting to a network
1. Remove the network cable from the packaging.
2. Connect one end to the network card of computer 1.
3. Connect the other end to the network card of computer 2.

3.1 Reading the electronic manual
1. Start the Trust Software Installer (Start – Run – [D:\Setup.exe]).
2. Select 'Read manual'.
3. Select the language you wish to use to read the manual.
4. The manual will be displayed on the monitor.
3.2 Printing the manual
1. Click on ‘Print’ in the ‘File’ menu (see figure 1).

2. Change any settings you wish to alter.
3. Click on 'OK' to print the document.
4. Troubleshooting
