Assembly Instructions
1. Remove all the parts from carton and divide them into part groups as indicated in the parts list.
2. Pick up the Gas Lift (D) and insert the thick end into the center hole of Base (C). Remove the top cover
from the Gas Lift for the following step.

3. Position the Seat (A) upside down on a non-abrasive surface with the threaded inserts facing up. Align
the top plate of the Pole with Footrest (B) with the threaded inserts on the Seat; Ensure the Footrest is
pointing towards the front of the Seat. Attach it in place using four 3/4’’ Bolts (1) and tighten with the
enclosed Allen wrench.
NOTE:
Place a protective cover (like the bubble wrap packing material) over the carton to prevent
from scratching the barstool material.

4. Slide the Pole with Footrest (B) onto the top of the Gas Lift (D) and press down until the stool locks in
place.

INFORMATION FOR USE
1. This is one type of barstool for commercial or home use. Please use it only on smooth, even flooring.
2. The height of the seat can be raised up or down by adjusting the right side handle of the mechanism.
3. Please check that all bolts, screws and knobs are tight at least every 3 months or as needed.
4. If parts are missing, broken, damaged or wrong, please stop using this product until repairs are done by a
trained person.
5. Only a trained person may replace or repair seat height adjustment components with energy accumulators.
Do not stand or step on this stool.
Do not sit on the front edge of the stool.
Use only for seating, one person at a time.
Use over smooth, level, seamless surfaces only.
Do not use this stool unless all bolts, screws and knobs are firmly secured.
Do not use stool as a stepladder.
Dispose of packing material properly. Do not use plastic cover as head covering. It may cause suffocation.
Use this stool for its intended purpose only.
Use mild detergent only for cleaning.
Failure to follow these warnings could result in serious injury.
Maximum load weight 136 kg (300 pounds).

To make a warranty claim, contact Parts Department. Provide model number, proof of purchase, description
of the problem and obtain return authorization. At its option Whalen Furniture will:
(a) Supply compatible components of current manufacture.
(b) Repair the customer’s component.
The customer must prepay freight on any components returned to the factory. Return freight on
components still in warranty will be paid by Whalen Furniture.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights which vary from province to
province (state to state).
