Activating Your First Dynotag
CreateyourFREEdynotag.comaccount
Inordertoactivateanytagstomakethemyours,youwillneedtohaveadynotag.comaccount.
Youcancreatethisaccountatanypointintime.Justgotodynotag.comandclick“SignIn”
thenclick“NewAccount”.
Theonly“Required”fieldsare“LoginEmailAddress”and“Password”therestyoucanfillin
lateralthoughwesuggestyouenterasmuchbasiccontactinfoasyoucansoyoudonothave
torepeatthisinformationforeveryactivatedtag.Whenyouactivate/manageatag,youwillbe
abletochoosewhichinformationfromyouraccountwillautomaticallybeshownbyyourtag.
Signintoyouraccountpriortoactivatingyourtagsotheactivatedtagisaddedtoyour
account’stagcollection.
Openyourdynotagpackageandactivatethedynotagsinit
Whenyoureceiveyourdynotagpackage,theremaybeoneormorephysicaltagsincluded.
Weneedtodeterminewhatkindofdynotagproductitissowecanactivateproperly.

Giventhatyouarealreadysignedintoyourdynotagaccount,activatingatagisquickandeasy:
● Clickthe“ActivateTag” icononthe“Home”screenor
inthe“MyTags”screen,pick“ActivateTag”fromthetopleftpulldownmenu.
● Youwillbeplacedinthe“ActivationScreen”.Youhaveonlytwopiecesofdatatoenter:
1) “DynotagID”printedonthetag.
ThemomentyouentertheIDandmoveovertothenextfield,thepictureabove
willchangetoshowasampletagmarkingwheretolookfortheactivationcode.
2) Thefourdigit“ActivationCode”printedonthetagorstickerstrip.
Youractivationpagemaydisplayan“Anonymous”checkboxundertheactivationcode.You
canleavethatunchecked.
Whenyouenterthecorrectactivationcode,thedynotagisactivatedandaddedtoyour
account’scollection.Youarethenautomaticallyplacedonthatdynotag’s“Manage”screen,
whereyoucanviewyourtagandupdatetheinformationinit.Whendone,click“Save”and
yourchangeswillbewrittentothedynotag.
Inmanycases,ifyouhavetheaccountinformationfilledout,yourdynotagmayalreadyhave
enoughrecoveryinformationtogetgoing.
Allyouractivateddynotagswillbeshowninyour“MyTags”screen.There,youcanmanage
thembysimplyclickingonthedynotagofinterest.Alternatively,atthe“Home”screen,youcan
click“ManageTag”andenterthedynotagIDofthetagyouwanttomanage.

Managing Your Dynotags
Nowthatyouhaveyourdynotagactivated,youcancomebacktoyourdynotagaccount,andin
the“MyTags”screen,seeallthetagsactivatedintiyouraccount.
Youcanclickonanyofthetagsinthelisttostart“Managing”thedynotag.
Asyoumovescreentoscreen,youwillseethe“Menu”choicesavailablevaryoneverypage,
showingyouoperationsapplicableonthatpage.
Forinstance,whenonthe“Manage”viewofatag,youseethatthemenudisplaysthefollowing
actionsspecifictothisscreen:

Yourdynotagcomeswithadefault“TagTemplate”togetyoustarted.Theidea
isstartingsimplethenaddingmoreinformationonceyouarecomfortablewith
thetags.

Thisfeature,availableto“Gold”leveltags(mostconsumerretailtagsare“Gold”

Reset
Whileonlyonepersoncanownadynotagatanytime,itispossibleforthetag’s
ownerto“Reset”thetagbacktofactorysettings,andevengiveittosomeone
elsetoactivatefromscratch…Resettingthetagofcourseremovesitfromyour
account’scollectionoftags.
TestView
Onceyoumakeupdatestoadynotag,youmaywanttoseehowitwillappearto
athirdpartyviewer.Thisletsyoutryaquickpreviewinaconvenientfashion.
LogBook
LogBooksareapowerful“MaintenanceRecordRegistry”forthetag.Not
enabledbydefault,theyhavemanyusesforpets,medicalinfo,equipment,etc.

AccessLog
Theaccesslogofthetagcontainsinformationaboutyourtag’sviewhistory.
Everytimeathirdpartypersonviewsyourtag,theviewwillbeloggedinthelog,

“ViewNotificationEmail”immediatelyaftertheview,withthecoordinate
informationifpresent.
