Congratulations, your purchase of furni-
ture from Arboria’s Idlewild collection
is contributing to fund tropical forests
projects through the Tropical Forest Trust
(TFT) that assists local foresters to meet
internationally recognized standards of
environmental and social good practice.
LWO Corporation, the maker of Arboria
products, was the fi rst North American
member of the TFT - an international
non-profi t organization working to con-
serve tropical forests and recipient of
the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) Gift to
the Earth Award. For more information
about TFT go to: http://www.tropical-
foresttrust.com.
Your furniture is made from Kapur, a
strong and durable tropical hardwood.
Each piece has been hand-rubbed with
a linseed oil fi nish to preserve and en-
hance the wood’s natural beauty. How-
ever, like all natural wood products
subjected to weather, small cracks may
develop. These should no way impair
the strength and usefulness of your fur-
niture.
Once you have assembled your
furniture, we strongly recommend
you condition the wood within the
rst few weeks with one of a number
of widely available exterior furniture
oils (Howard's Orange Oil comes in a
handy spray bottle (1-800-266-9545),
Watco makes a series of quality products
including Teak Oil (1-800-323-3584).
This conditioning process is very
easy and will revitalize the wood after
what may have been a long duration
since it received its factory applied oil.
After prolonged exposure to weather
your furniture will turn a silvery-gray
color. To protect the wood and restore
its rich appearance, apply a quality
penetrating oil fi nish, which is available
at most home centers and paint stores.
We recommend using a Penofi n (1-800-
PENOFIN) or Cabot product (1-800-
US-STAIN); both are widely available
throughout the US. Applying with a
sponge, lint-free cloth or brush can take
under 10 minutes. Please be sure to
follow the manufacturer's directions for
preparation and application.
